Hmm will look into that. How do I change DNS server settings (or "look into them")? I'm not much of a networking wizard.

My friend who's using openDNS is getting a lot of websites he visits "blocked" due to inappropreate content with openDNS, as they apparently now upgraded to a more "family friendly" system or what not.
It's illegal It's an illegal distrobution of a copyrighted program, which in the EULA states is is prohibited to illegally distrobute this software under ANY circumstances
Christ man don't be so anal about it. Even though it may be illegal, it's not any less detrimental then using an actual legitimate disk from Microsoft. It's the same files, though that might depend on which torrent you use. Unless if you go to the same sites as your friend here, I don't think that's an issue for you. At any rate, you can follow the instructions anyway, and get into the Static DNS IP's or whatever page, and set the DNS from static to automatic. The virus probably put in a static DNS to do the redirection, so get rid of that and set it to automatic, which essentially means your ISP's DNS. Good luck my man.
No. Read the EULA then come back whining A personal backup means i go drop an .iso of my Vista disk and keep it to myself, hence "personal"
Just report him for warez and move along. :cop:

Networking and hard-drive partitioning/RAIDS are two things I really don't know balls about with computers :s

If he did set it up, he could just make an account and unblock whatever he wants. The openDNS website has instructions on how to change the settings.
