I rarely recommend stuff so much, but this little adapter is fantastic. it has a USB base you can use so it's like a little antennae sticking up on my desk.
I am currently about 75feet from my RT-56U router. Past about 5 double 3/4th sheet rocked walls with steel studs and I this is my signal.

Nice SSID
Eh, old news. My router only dropped once since I got it and I transfer so fast between computers that I thought it'd be funny.
I still like "ERROR: Check Wireless Cable" better, personally.

USB bracket?
Should I buy this for a T61? My current battery's model no. is 42T5262.
Is it possible to use a second graphics card from a different series of AMD graphics to output video? My dad is going to use my 4870, but it only supports 2 displays at a time, and he wants 3 to have an output to the TV (without using a splitter). Can he use any current AMD card and it will output as a third screen? Or will we have to buy another 48XX card/single 6XXX card to do 3 monitors? The other card wouldn't need to help render or anything, just function as an extra display port.
Again because nobody replied
I've used all sorts of combinations of graphics cards without ever having a problem:
Nvidia 560 Ti + Nvidia 8400 GS
Nvidia 560 Ti + Nvidia 6200
Nvidia 560 Ti + ATI x850
Nvidia 8400 GS + ATI x1650
ATI x1650 + ATI X850
I'm going to say yes it will work, based on my experience of never having an issue with these quite exotic combinations of new and very old cards.

Alright thanks. Second question based on first. Trying to make sure this will work for my dad before we buy. This is the plan so far:

This is a hard choice, I'm looking for a new case and I'm stuck between the HAF 912 and the Antec 300.
I heard the Antec 300 has excellent airflow
and the HAF 912 has excellent cable management

I don't see why it shouldn't. My arrangement was similar, I had two cards in so I could have 3 HDMI monitors plugged in (two on DVI to HDMI adapters, one via Mini-HDMI to HDMI) - I didn't use the HDMI audio however (Though If I recall correctly they did show up in the sound devices)

In my opinion, the HAF 912. Those are both excellent cases, but the HAF's cable management is awesome and it still has decent airflow, while the 300 doesn't have the kind of cable management that the 912 does, and airflow is only marginally better (if at all)

If I'm looking to get a GTX 670, does it matter if I go with MSi or Galaxy?
If I'm looking to get a GTX 670, does it matter if I go with MSi or Galaxy?
Get the one with better cooling. That's really the only difference in different brands of cards these days.

912. Far better than the 300.

None of those.
Gigabyte, it has the 680 PCB, three fans and has a lot of overclocking potential.

Is it any worse to have yoyr tower on its side than up and down?
Is it any worse to have yoyr tower on its side than up and down?
Not really.
I made a thread for this, but I probably should have asked in here first.
I'm awful with hardware, but I was thinking of upgrading my Radeon HD 4850. My budget's around $200, and I was thinking of getting a 6870 or 7770. I'd prefer an ATI card from this site. The new GPU is mostly to upgrade before Max Payne 3. Is a 6870 a good choice? Could I make a better choice?
Here's my other shit:
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.00GHz
4 GB of RAM
600W supply
Or would a new CPU be more pertinent?
New CPU would be a far better choice. Those GPUs would likely bottleneck on the CPU.
Are there any good and cheap Xbox to VGA cables? I want to hook my xbox up to my 1080p monitor rather than a $300 TV. All of the cables have horrible ghosting issues above 480p except for the $40 Microsoft one. Do any of you have one that works good? I'll spend ~$20.
I'm looking to backup my external hard drive, because I have a sneaking suspicion that it's gonna fail any day now. This drive has every format imaginable, from .txt to .pdf to .iso to all sorts of video, picture, and audio files.
Now, I'm looking to get maximum compression possible, time is a non issue. I only have 4 gb of RAM to work with. What's the best way to accomplish this?

You're gonna have to go with the Microsoft branded cable. Anything else, if they even exist, would be more expensive and probably shittier.

If there's ghosting issues, he should invest in a ferrite core.
I read that as "ferret ore" and became very confused.

Ok then. Do you know how low they go on sale? I was going to buy one but Skyrim had a sale so I bought that. They're usually $40 I think.

Gamestop's website shows them at $10 used. I'll try them.
Yeah I have a used one from when they were going for $15, works flawlessly.
