So I will buy a new phone soon (I hope) and I just wonder what brand I should look at in a budget of around 300 USD (MAX 3000 Swedish KR). I've heard good stuffs about Samsung but I have no idea so could you help me out here? I found this one for a good price and I thought it was pretty good but I have no idea when it comes to phones http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/mobile-devices/smartphones/android/GT-I9001HKDVOD If you don't understand - Good phone for max 300 USD
You should be able to get an S2 now, for 300USD.
You should be able to get an S2 now, for 300USD.
Not really yet here what I can see but I've heard that S2 will drop in price so I will keep my head cold.
[del]ASUS AM3+ SABERTOOTH 990FX S/L (£114.92) or Sapphire AM3+ 990FX Motherboard - Pure Black (£112.90)? Given an AMD Phenom II X4 955, 4x2GB DDR3 sticks and 2 AMD HD5850s[/del] Nevermind, someone bought the last Sapphire while I was deciding, and I went for the sabertooth.
What would be a reasonably good AGP graphics card to buy, something that could run something like GMOD or ARMA 2? I'm asking because after taking apart my computer to have a poke about inside I saw that there was no PCI-E slot, would it be better to buy a PCI-E card and a whole new motherboard or is that just impractical?
Is there any way to delete the audio track on an MP4 video without reencoding?
Avidemux can do that. Open up your file with it, hit audio>main track then none in the dropdown menu. Then just change the output format to MP4 and file>save. Should only take a few seconds to remux.
I believe the AMD 4xxx series had the best AGP graphics card ever made.
This is true but it's likely not worth it as AFAIK any CPU that fits in a motherboard with only AGP won't be powerful enough to run those games terribly well even with the extra graphics power.
anyone have any opinions on seagate drives? this drive is on sale for 100USD which I feel like is a great deal; but a lot of the reviews of it are pretty worrying. people complaining that it was DOA, clicked through formatting, etc. I myself had a pretty iffy seagate drive once, but I've also had a really iffy samsung drive so idk. [editline]18th May 2012[/editline] reason I say seagate is apparently samsung is contracting them to manufacture these or bought them out or something

Yes, with about 20mm to spare.
I just had a BSoD and I don't know what could be causing it. It's the first time I have this type of BSoD. So I have a two year old PSU that's never been used. It's a PC Power and Cooling 500W. Would it be a good idea to use it to replace the IED that's currently powering by gaming box? It doesn't have a brand name at all, and it doesn't have PCI-E connectors. [editline]May 18th[/editline] Nevermind, works great. Quiet and powers everything nicely.
Quick Question: If I'm hosting a LAN (just between 2 computers in a house) server, does it's bandwidth count towards a bitcap set by the ISP?
No, there shouldn't be any data leaving your house (From the game at least).

Quick question... I'm helping a friend replace her video card in an ol' desktop computer. I told her not to take it to bestbuy or any retail where they will rip her off.. Anyway, can someone help me with this? I got her specs, but I'm not great with matching them with a good, compatible video card. I told her to give me what she could from dxdiag, but from here, I'm awful. Specs: OS - Windows XP Home BIOS - Phoenix ROM (+ version 1.10 A06) Processor - Intel 'Pentium' dual CPU T2330; 1.6 GHz RAM - 2GB ...and has Direct X 9.0c. Thanks for the help guys.
Wait T2330 Pentiums are for laptop only.
Laptop or not, time for a new computer.
Yeah I know, they told me it was an oldie. :v: Regardless, even if it is a laptop - while repairing a laptop is a pain - is it possible to even find something for it? I may have gotten miscommunication when she told me whether it was a desktop.
That's a laptop processor in the specs you posted. The only possible upgrades would be the hard drive or ram, if 2gb isn't the max amount of ram that the laptop can handle.
I don't know if she necessarily needs an upgrade... a replacement would do, even. I'll let her know it's time to move on, just in case.
Can anyone recommend me a new PC case? I've been looking at the CM Storm Scout, Thermaltake Commander MS-I, and the Coolermaster Elite 430 but there are so many and it's so difficult to choose. I'd like a decent airflow to keep temps as low as possible, and decent cable management to keep it aesthetically pleasing. Preferably ~£60. Thanks!
Does anyone know how to remove the tool-less locks from an 800D? [editline]19th May 2012[/editline] Got it, had to bend down a metal clip.

What is the best monitor I can get for at max £90?
What is the best monitor I can get for at max £90?
Would you want a bigger res or better colours?
Would you want a bigger res or better colours?
If it can achieve 1920*1080 it's fine by me. Better colours would also be nice, but it's not a necessity. Also, it has to be a UK site that isn't ebuyer.
