Could be a complex file. Or a bug in the system causing it to go over the files over and over.
Also why not use MSE.
tried it again

erm, should I be worried? (apart from being frozen for eternity)
Maybe the temperature sensor got unplugged.
I wouldn't worry about it - everything else is around 25 C so your GPU is probably around there.
I want to stop this. People will google the problem and find this topic and you will be the one thing that millions of internet users fucking hate to death.

i put the wrong password in, and wasn't actually SSHing in the first place.

If i want to boost the signal range of TP-Link TL-WR703N how would i do it? It only needs to go like 300 feet (unobstructed), though more would be preferable.
Foil is the easiest way, it's also the ugliest way.

how would i make a wifi antennae out of foil that would connect to an Ethernet port? just wondering
ooh and i also have an enormous cut up part of a robot made out of aluminum that i guess could function as an antenna.

I'm still using an AMD 5770!
You can use an Nvidia card but you'd have to remove your AMD drivers first. http://www.overclock.net/t/988215/how-to-properly-uninstall-ati-amd-software-drivers-for-graphics-cards
Is it possible to SLI a GTX 460 SE and the onboard i7 2700k(Intel® HD Graphics 3000) together?
How do I deal with heat when it comes to using SLI?
What is the best 1080p or above IPS/gaming monitor?
I don't want it to be crazy expensive, I thought about the U2412M?
I would like it to be 120Hz though, that would be smooth.

The closest thing to an IPS 120hz is the korean monitors currently being released. You need to actually overclock them though.
Otherwise you won't see an IPS monitor over 60hz, MAYBE 70hz.

You can't "SLI" between a video card and an onboard GPU. They have to be the same model.
Wait what, you can overclock a monitor?
O_O

Yes, you over... clock the refresh frequency. Usually people are overclocking from 2560x1440@60hz to 2560x1440@100hz

Excuse my computer illiterateness, but where can you do that, I assume not from the default windows one, right?
Dunno if this is the right section, but here we go anyway:
I have two options in my next course - I can go into hardware (fixin' computers, lots of jobs available in that and I can start my own business) or software development (a lot more money and freelancing is more fun than a full job, and if I want to I can get a job in that anyway)
Which would be the best to do?
Fixing computers is more freelance really, whereas software development is more project based.
Depends which one you're better at and enjoy more.
I got the maximum possible grade for repairing computers in my current course, but I don't enjoy it as much as software development.
I guess I can be good at the latter if I spend a lot of time learning various languages, but it's still confusing.

When you create a custom resolution in the Nvidia control panel you can create custom timings that are sent to the monitor, so it's sort of like finding the sweet spot of a signal that the monitor will actually read and show. Not so much going into the Monitor "BIOS" and overclocking.
Sometimes the electronics or panels have more headroom in how fast they can refresh.
I have AMD though.
I could easily turn this into my normal AMD sucks campaign, but I'm sure you can find a way to do it. It's just Nvidia has an option for custom resolutions which is easier to find.
Since its hot as shit and I have the old I think 80mm fan from my old CPU heatsink, I want to power it and use it too cool my sweaty nipples.
It has a 4 pin fan header, but I have taken out the red and black wires (these are the negative and positive ones right). I just need to be able to power it. Would simply connecting a 9v battery work? I powered it with a rechargable battery from my RC car a while ago, but have sold the car (and hence the battery).
Basically I want to power a CPU fan with a battery / USB cable or something, wat do?
Edit: Also, I am considering upgrading my PC in the next couple of months, my current GPU is a single Sapphire Toxic 6870, they are hard to find now though, so could I use any other 6870 with them?
Basically I want to power a CPU fan with a battery / USB cable or something, wat do?
Most fans need 7V to start up, so a 9V battery should be fine. But if you want to get the most speed out of it, connect a 9V in series with two AAs to get 12V.
EDIT: USB only provides 5V, so the fan will run very slowly if it even starts at all.
Is there anything like iograph mouse tracking but that works on multiple monitors?
I get tiny waves going through my screen a frequently but it seems to be related to power as when my AC kicks up it suddenly goes wavey. Any ideas?

Interference.
I assume you're using VGA?

Yeah, VGA. Is there anyway to prevent this or just generally avoid it?

Get a VGA cable with a good ferrite bead
With RAM, assuming they're the same price, is it better to get 2 x 4GB sticks or 1 x 8GB stick or does it make no real difference? While on the topic of RAM are there any brands which should be avoided?
Also with motherboards(specifically with the Z77 chipset) are there any brands which should be avoided? I haven't kept up with hardware news for a while but back when I did Gigabyte and Asus were generally the better ones(from memory). Is this still the case and what are Intel motherboards like? Finally, are there any <$200(preferably <$160) Z77 motherboards which I should look into?

2x4 will be faster because it will run in dual channel.
As for mobos, most brands are fine now, though MSI, EVGA, ASUS, ASRock and Gigabyte make good boards (in no particular order).
