You might try Tor. Here's a mirror for the Vidalia bundle.
Someone recommend me a good anti-virus program apart from:
Microsoft Security Essentials (Having issues with it, not running, validation issues even though I've already validated it etc)
Norton (Shit)
AVG (Shit)
Kaspersky (Tried it out, but it slows my internet down HARD and I don't know why)
Avast?
avast is good and doesn't get in the way. Malwarebytes is a good accompaniment to avast
Comodo firewall + MBAM = Perfect paranoid setup.
Anyway,
I'm just wondering if there is a way to get two audio streams in an avi video to work properly in AE CS6? Vegas sure can handle it but why the shit doesn't AE?

If I remember correctly you need a plugin I was helping someone do it a while ago. I think the solution I came up with is to use premier pro to turn one of the audio streams into an mp3 (open AE first to find out which one it detects then turn the other one into an mp3) and then import that mp3 into AE.
I know it's a silly way to work around this but I don't know of any other way.
For some reason, a lot of texture in various games are low quality, even with the settings maxed. I figure this has to to with the paged pool because that's what used to happen in l4d2 with it was set to low.
I checked l4d2 and the paged pool is set to high and the textures look fine.

What can I do to resolve this?
Figured it out in case anyone has a similar issue.
Apparently It was either AMD's AI Texture Filtering or the mipmapping setting.

I know work arounds, but I'd really like if there was a plugin which fixed this like you mentioned, I shall search until my hand bleeds.
Do you guys think Asus K55VM would work out for me?
Original question:
I'm soon heading to uni and I need a new laptop for school stuff. The programs I will mainly use are Autodesk Maya, Photoshop, Steam and some games like Garry's Mod and Dota 2 and I can put out about $800 to $1200. Any suggestions?
Anyone know of a decent free online practice test for A+ Certification. The ones I've taken so far have all been really outdated, (questions about what socket Pentium IIs use, what the current floppy disk standards are, etc)
I have a Toshiba L355D-S7901, bought from Cowboom, that has been wiped before it arrived to me. Is there any way to restore the OS if I make recovery disks using another Toshiba? Or should I buy another copy of the OS?
Is there any way I can relay the wifi connection from my laptop to other devices, to boost the range further into my home, temporarily?
Basically, is there any way to relay wifi using wifi? Note: I have 2 wifi adapters, one external and one internal.
When shutting down my computer (win 7 64-bit), for a split second black squares (roughly 25x25 pixels in size) appear on the screen (reminds me a bit of artifacts). It doesn't seem normal. I'm concerned because a graphic card of mine died after barely a month of use so I had to get it returned and buy a
new one. If my PC has started to break down graphic cards for whatever reason, I'd like to resolve that issue before this one dies as well.
GPU: XFX Radeon HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 (old one was roughly the same model)

PSU: XFX ProSeries Core Edition 650W PSU
My computer will randomly shut down from overheating. Does anyone have a suggestion for solving this issue?
My computer will randomly shut down from overheating. Does anyone have a suggestion for solving this issue?
stopping the overheating sounds like a good one
clean dust, replace thermal paste, clear cable management etc.
Hey some times when im playing a game like ARMA2 or Skyrim, my screen just loses "connection" to my computer, the sound goes away too. i can only fix it when i restart my computer.
Does anyone know if I can use a prepaid visa when paying as a paypal guest?
Does someone have the installer to an old version of Flash Player floating around? I can't even load GMail without this new one crashing and taking my browser with it.
And before you say "switch to Chrome": Firefox has been running it's plugins (Flash) in a separate process for a while now, and before, if it would crash it would only crash on whatever was trying to use Flash. If it's taking the whole browser now, then "switch to Chrome" will only have the same results.
try it
I don't have a prepaid visa yet. I would like to know if that will work before buying a prepaid visa.
-fixed-
Guys, recently, I've been having many problems with games, when playing almost any game, my computer starts making sounds as if it is having a hard time render the game and I get horrible framerate drops, my computer supposedly is able to run Battlefield 3 on high, but on even the medium settings my computer starts getting terrible framerate drops, it happens in almost most of the recent games that came out, I thought that my specs are the issue but they're not that bad, any ideas what component I should upgrade in order to get this computer performing better?
These are my current specs:
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU 2.33GHz
4GB of ram
and my GPU is NVIDIA GeForce 550 Ti
I am pretty much illiterate when it comes to computer components, so if there's any other info that you need from me tell me.
I want this problem sorted out, It's horrible playing anything with those insane framerate drops I keep getting in most games.
Download HWmonitor and see if you can get some temperature readings while not using your computer intensively and when you are using it intensively.
snape
can someone point me in the direction of a drive bay adapter

Is there any way to remove the clock from the Windows 7 taskbar but keep the date?
Some serious shit is happening:
I don't know why, but ONLY facepunch.com works, any other websites (google, moddb, youtube, imgur etc) doesn't even ping. I can browse this site without any problem but other hosts are somehow blocked or I don't know, but I didn't change any settings, it just happened and I can't solve it.
Other programs can't reach the internet too.
Can you help me please?
Check \Windows\System32\drivers\etc\host
