Not that I know of. The next series of Intel designs (the innovate phase, too!) is in a few years though.
If you're talking about setting up a LAN, the best I have for you (sadly) is LogMeIn Hamachi. It sets up a virtual LAN between anybody that connects to your channel.

Now, I have a decision.
So, would you guys recommend this

Or this

Rate me rainbow for Phenom II, and rate me artistic for Core2Duo (both will most likely be overclocked past 4 GHz at stable rates)
I paid $224 for my Q6600 C2Q.
He's probably not getting it for $280, dusty just got a random picture
Hey, just curious, I went to piece together an nvidia ION based HTPC, couldn't find anything motherboard/cpu/ion combos on newegg anymore, anyone know what happened?
Could some one recommend me a good usb network adapter? My price range is $20-$30.
I had a usb network adapter before, but ever since my little cousins came over I couldn't find the damned thing and now my PC can't connect to the internet.
That is the exact link that my brother sent me.

Anyone know how to properly get rid of search suggestions on Chrome? Un-checking "Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar" doesn't work.

Stop watching porn and you will eventually stop giving a damn.
How do I prevent applications from taking control over audio configurations?
for example I don't want to launch a game and have it auto switch to "headphone" mode, but rather always stay on 2 ch. under all circumstances
god damn it, which dell IPS monitor is the best for gaming?
I'd usually buy the most expensive one but I don't need graphic designers one and the response times are horrible for "real IPS".
So, should I get the U2410 or the U2412M?

also I play FPS games
My GPU drivers (GPU - 6870) crashed last night when playing Portal 2 and from then on I've been getting pixelation in different areas aswell as the display cropping and jumping around, like this:

Once I restart to remedy these issues, booting past the windows loading splash results in a full colour, usually blue screen, I have to let it sit for 15-20 seconds before booting before I can make it to the desktop, and if I'm lucky I only get 20-30 seconds of usage before the jumping and artifacting starts up again.
I've tried over-volting, down-volting, under-clocking aswell as every combination of those, both PCI-E lanes on my board aswell as playing with the card switcher, I've also put everything else back to factory.
The GPU has not run hot for a while, 50-60c on full load, I installed an after-market heatsink a few months back which unfortunately, voided my warranty.
Now it would be fairly obvious that the GPU is just faulty, so I ordered a 6850 as I just had enough money left around to get one which shouldn't be much of a performance loss from the 6870, but then 10 minutes ago, while using my integrated and watching a few videos, it locked up and I got another blue solid screen (this time with horizontal green lines spanning the display) and had to hard reset.
Therefore I've come to the conclusion that it's either the motherboard (although the integrated has only locked up once now but it may happen again, it's been only 15 minutes since the first freeze), or is it the GPU and I was just stressing the integrated a little much thus causing the freeze.
Luckily I did order a 6850 so if it does turn out to be the motherboard (motherboard is an M4A89GTD PRO/USB3) and not the GPU I can always crossfire and it wouldn't be a waste of money, but I can't troubleshoot the motherboard at all, or I don't know how, I've planned to reformat later tonight which is a massive pain getting everything to how I like it, but it may fix my issues if it's software all along.
I had that. I have 2x7970 though.
It turned out, that not the cards were at fault but rather AMDs horribly shitty drivers and catalyst.
I reverted back to the oldest available catalyst for my card, and behold, all the issues were gone!

Cheers for the reply, I'm going to reformat and install a driver in the 11.10 range or so, I remember them giving me no issues.
I did forget to mention, I was on 12.4 and reverted back to 12.3 and the issue persisted.
I'm still on a solo 6870 with latest drivers, so hopefully I won't be affected.
Hey guys, new to PC building here.
I'm installing my cpu, and I'm pulling down the lever, but it seems that if i pull down too hard i'll break the damn cpu.
Should I need to push down that hard for a cpu?
The lever is kind of a pain, and sometimes you'll hear a sort of cracking or light popping noise, it just means that all the pins are hitting the contacts. As long as you have it oriented in the socket correctly there won't be an issue.
Also...I don't want to flood the thread so i'll post a livestream so I can get quick and easy answers.
I hope you don't mind...

an aftermarket doesnt need to be screwee in all the way, right?
[editline]19th June 2012[/editline]
also how do i use standoffs? one for each corner?
I reformatted and the issue persists, it even has artifact lines in the BIOS, I do believe the GPU has had it, R.I.P 6870, for now atleast, I'm going to bake it once I remove the heatsink and see how that goes, I've successfully baked my old laptop's GPU a while ago and it worked.
If baking it does fix it (temporarily or permanently), would pairing it with the 6850 do any damage to the 6850 if the 6870 was to start artifacting again (assuming baking it works)?

When I do them, I try to do as many as I can, but you'll be fine if you have a minimum of three. Corners would be great.

where do these go?
They go in the bottom of the motherboard, there should be a bunch of pins sticking up with tiny words around the outside that tell you where power led, hdd led, power switch and reset switch connectors go.

these? the white one with pins
also, would this go into there? does it need to?

Yes, where the white pins are at is where they need to be plugged in, your motherboard manual will give you a bigger picture of it and where various connectors go if you can't read it directly on the board. As for the second picture, that cable you're holding is PCI-e power which plugs into your video card. What you need to plug into the motherboard there should be an 8 pin connector that is split into 4+4 (2 separate heads each with 4 pins)
[editline]19th June 2012[/editline]
And it also may be solid 8, not broken apart depending on your PSU

where does this go?
[editline]19th June 2012[/editline]
From the front panel shit btw
That's a molex plug, afaik it's only for fans and certain other peripherals
Seems it connects to my front fans, where does it plug in?
[editline]19th June 2012[/editline]
Also, my manual notes an IDE panel pin, but my connecter notes an HDD plug. What do I do?
That's a molex plug, afaik it's only for fans and certain other peripherals
It's also used for most IDE/PATA drives (SATA drives have their own power connector), so most PSUs have a few more than most people actually need, because some people still have those older hard drives.
Here's a method on how to do things for your computer:
Find every separate part, each one will need both POWER and DATA
Hard drive? Does it have power and data? Next.
Optical Drive? Same thing.
Video Card? Depends, is it fancy? Lower end cards can get their power from the PCI socket, but higher end ones need PCI-E power plugs. If your card needs it, the plug(s) will be right on the right edge, easily visible.
I have yet to ever use a molex plug, but there are uses for them. Not everything on the power supply will plug into something, but every part on the computer will plug into the power supply (besides RAM, and to a lesser extent, the CPU[SUB]It has a separate power port on the motherboard[/SUB]).

will any combo of PCI plugs work for my 670?
Theres 4 in all, 2 with a 2 pin side one that isnt connected (with only one saying "pci-e"), and 2 with just 6 pins, no side thing, again, only one with pci-e
If anyone cares, I baked the 6870 and it's working perfectly, we'll see how it goes, glad I got the 6850 so I can now crossfire and have a backup if something happens, I was actually thinking of getting a 7770 for some reason, even with it's worse performance.
