Can someone just tell me if I can have windows 7 ultimate and premium?
If it's acting as storage the OS installed on that drive makes no difference, yes it will be fine
Trying to connect three monitors up to my CF 5850s. Two of them are 1680x1050 monitors via DVI-D, one of them is a 1080p HDTV via HDMI. I can't extend desktop to all three monitors, at least one has to be disabled for some reason. Ideas? (I'd post this in Technical Support but I haven't had one question successfully answered by that shitty sub-forum).
Ultimate came pre installed on my hard drive when my uncle gave it to me and he no longer has the CD or CD key but I have home premium and the key.
Programs exist to pull your key out of your system. As for the CD, I've got a master ISO you could use. [editline]23rd June 2012[/editline] also does anyone know how to force TeamViewer to not remove your wallpaper when someone else is connected?
I bought a couple OCZ Vertex 3 120 GB SSD for 80 each but later I found out that their fail rates are very high. Is it worth keeping and/or selling, or just return it?
I've had a 60GB Vertex 2 since September 2010. Works fine. Just remember to update the firmware in them!
What's a good step up from my 5770 crossfire setup? Here's my specs: Mobo: Asus Crosshair IV Formula CPU: Phenom II x2 555 unlocked and overclocked to x4 @ 3.8GHz RAM: 8GB PSU: XFX 750W Black Edition I want to play at high settings at 1920x1080. We'll say the budget is $350, with a wide latitude if it's needed. I just feel like these 5770's aren't cutting it any more, though I'm well aware that it could very well be the processor too.
what does everyone think of Ultrabooks? is it an expensive gimmick or something worth buying? i'm thinking of getting the Zenbook UX31E
what does everyone think of Ultrabooks? is it an expensive gimmick or something worth buying? i'm thinking of getting the Zenbook UX31E
I had the samsung series 9 and loved it. Really light and durable. Perfect for college.
So if games "stop working" after a CPU overclock. Do i need to back down or to raise voltage? Or what is it?
So if games "stop working" after a CPU overclock. Do i need to back down or to raise voltage? Or what is it?
Playing with the voltage is a bit more risky, but upping it slightly would help if I remember. Or just backing down the OC a bit. You should really be stress testing the OC with something like Prime95.
can somebody with an asus p8z77 series mobo show me where the hdd indicator pins are located? my mobo didnt come with a q connector and my vision is shit so i cant see whats what
Well since no one answered my question about the usb 3.0 header right angle, I decided to take it into my own hands and cut the wires and make the bend myself. Here is the pinout sheet I made for anyone else interested.
Repost for new page: Okay, so I'm getting a new laptop this summer. My budget is approximately 1600 dollars, slightly more or less is fine. I live in Canada. Anybody have any general tips or specific suggestions?
How does this upgrade look?
can somebody with an asus p8z77 series mobo show me where the hdd indicator pins are located? my mobo didnt come with a q connector and my vision is shit so i cant see whats what
I believe I have the same mother board, so here it is. The white thing. Check the manual, 2-21 or 2-25 will tell you exact pin location and whatnot.
i have everything else plugged in, i just couldnt find it in the manual so i gave up, but im terrible at looking for things, ill check the manual again
Yeah, it's page 2-25 in the manual, check there
Yeah, it's page 2-25 in the manual, check there
so im assuming its the ide led?
Yes, correct
thanks! thats been bugging me
what does everyone think of Ultrabooks? is it an expensive gimmick or something worth buying? i'm thinking of getting the Zenbook UX31E
It depends on the ultrabook. Currently the only one I actually have experience with is the MacBook Air, and as it's the template all other ultrabooks are copied.... erm, inspired from, it's going to be better than the majority of them, and extremely comparable to the rest. I have nothing but good things to say about it, and since the rest are essentially the same, some lower quality bits, some higher depending on machine, I think they're the future of laptops, I really do.
I have my PC hooked up to my TV, and I'm trying to decide on peripherals. I've got a Logitech F710 for casual gaming and I'll be using a K400 for casual browsing, but for keyboard/mouse gaming, I'm going to be using my MX518 and a Razer or Belkin Nostromo. Problem is, I'm about 6 metres from the computer. Most USB extension cords go up to 5m, and so chaining 2 together and slapping a hub on the end would probably be problematic, and I'd rather not have to use a powered hub if I can avoid it. There's some CAT5 based USB extenders that look pretty good (gotta get them with decent shipping to Australia, have a look at http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l2736&_nkw=cat5+usb+extender as that's pretty much my options). How are the latencies? Would they be decent for gaming? Also, what about power? Most of these single-port ones state that no additional AC adapter is needed - do they carry power over the CAT5 cable? Is that even possible, and if so, is it safe? I'll probably get 2 cables and use 1 for each rather than using a hub. Any thoughts?
How does this upgrade look?
Get an Ivy Bridge CPU and Z77
God damnit, anyone know how to fix this? [editline]24th June 2012[/editline] Now it gives me this, it bounces. [editline]niger[/editline] [t]http://i.imgur.com/lB99y.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/emraM.jpg[/t] Here is what happens with net_graph on in-game.
Heyo, I wear glasses and wearing a headset pushes my glasses frames into my head, which hurts after a while. Should I get speakers or a more comfortable head set? I've never used speakers but it's a viable option given that I won't disturb anyone having them on full volume.
My dad bought a 1920x1080 monitor to replace the old CRT monitor but my computer doesn't support the proper resolution, which gets ridiculous since this looks like a circle to me: The graphics card is an SiS760 and the drivers for it don't let me force the proper resolution. Any solutions?
You just gotta get a new GPU.
Do phone questions fit here as well? I cannot decide whether I should buy a decent Android phone or use one of these with my iPod Touch for just web browsing, Skype and Steam.
Get a decent android phone.
Get a decent android phone.
Is it worth the price if I would only call in an emergency and do not text? There seems to be no plans with cheap data usage without including call+texting stuff as well.
What generation iPod is it?
