Me as the host and other people as the listener across the internet. Doesn't matter though, I figured out shoutcast from winamp. Only thing is is that I don't have direct control over the playlists and whatnot.
Not quite sure, I bet you could use your computer as a webserver and have them connect and sync to it. If you wanted live streaming, I'm not sure, perhaps someone else can better assist you.
I have no idea about graphics cards to save myself, is a Nvidia GeForce GT520 graphics card with 1GB of DDR3 RAM and HDMI a good thing when it comes to gaming?

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Zotac/GeForce_GT_520/7.html
Graphics arnt as important to me, I noticed they where testing the game in full settings, which i doubt i'd be doing, as long as the game runs fine i dont care if im still in the Xbox 360 era of graphics for some games. I think i'll be using it for a year before i end up buying a more dedicated one.

I don't think I need to make an entire thread for a question like this... What CPU fan can I get ? I want to change mind cause its getting really hot here and the one that comes with the CPU (can't remember what they were called) isn't doing so well. (needed?) Specs: CPU: Intel Pentium E2140 @ 1.60GHz Conroe 65nm Technology Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. 945GZM-S2 (Socket 775) So, got any recommendations ?
Im sure it wouldnt mind something like TF2 or whatever, I can allways upgrade it in the future, just if im going to have a guarintee on the thing, i wouldnt be able to tweak it and poke it and prod it and such for a year. I have shit luck with computers as it is...
On a Mainboard that has 2 PCIe 3.0 x8 slots and one PCIe 2.0 slot, could I run two nVidia cards in SLi and a AMD card in the PCIe 2.0 slot?
Should be able to as long as the board supports SLI.
So i rechived my modmic today, i added the clasp but it's like a 20-30 degrees off, and it annoys me. It bends the wire a lot and i know after time it will bend and break. I have an extra clasp, but can i remove the current one without removing the sticky part of it?

I removed my 3M base clasp and want to know if I can re-stick it to another surface. How do I get it to become sticky again? Washing the 3M surface with soapy water (however strange that seems) and heating the sticky surface can renew some of the original stickiness. Will the sticky foam be hard to remove or leave a residue or mark on my headphones? Nope. Prying at the clasp’s edge can help start the removal. The foam (with some force) comes off in one piece and leaves little if any residue. Anything left behind is easily cleaned off.
http://www.modmic.com/faq/
Building a gaming rig, would like to know if this sounds ok i5 2400 - No K, no overclocking Asus P8-H67 Pro 3RD Revision otherboard - Integrated graphics always nice in emergency Samsung SSD 128GB Corsair 650W Modular Lian Li PC-A04 (BTW micro ATX build) Asus GTX 560 TI 1024MB Corsair 1333 XMS3 8GB Memory

The extra 30 bucks for the k version is worth it in my opinion. In fact, the 3570k (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116504) is only 215 with promo EMCNDHB34. This mobo is also the same price; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157306. And I made a build for my friend with that case, and it's a lovely case, there is no room behind the motherboard for any wires. I recommend silverstone, the temjim specifically; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163182
I keep on having a really annoying problem with windows 7. Some very rare (bug?) happens that makes it impossible to open back up minimized windows and move open tabs along the task bar. If I click a minimized window such as steam when it's happening the view box will only flash for a second. Nothing happens when I try click and drag open window tabs. I hope I'm able to explain this properly. I tried scanning for a virus and avg found nothing.. no idea what is making it do this.
Why would you have those uninstalled to begin with though :v:
Fresh install of Windows 8, I hadn't gotten that far yet
Hyper 212 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103065
Thanks for the quick reply. Will look into that... but just in case I may not find it or have sufficient funds for it... got any other options ? Newegg doesn't ship here in Europe so I'm going to be looking around town too see what I can find. Hopefully I can find some recommendations or something good ( so ... all the more all the better ? )

What shops do you have around you?
I'm looking to backup a bunch of stuff onto DVDs, but I don't understand -R +R RW etc. The local store here has Sony -R and +R (No RWs anywhere) for $9.99 for a pack of 10. I just don't know what would be best for what I want. I mostly want to backup games from my Steam Library.
Hopefully starting work at a computer hardware store on Saturday, anything I should know before I cock something up?

You don't really need RW for backing up Steam game files unless you want your backups to be constantly up to date (updates are usually small enough that they're not a problem to re-download). If you have game data like saves and configs that you wanna backup, use Dropbox or Google Drive or some other cloud storage.

Bandwidth has been going over board lately. So backing up the games to DVDs will greatly help me in the future should something go wrong. Plus it'd make things easier in a lot of ways.

Looking into Floppy Drives I see a lot of people mentioning the lack of FDD's on their modern Motherboards. What is FDD? My power supply can power a floppy, is that all it needs? Products in question: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820816002 http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820192022 http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16821121001 Before you ask, I'm primarily looking into floppy drives for two reasons. 1) I noticed they have card readers built into them now. 2) Floppy's are awesome!
Not sure what you're trying to ask, but FDD stands for floppy disk drive. Modern motherboards don't have connectors for them because they are virtually useless as storage nowadays, your average photo is probably more than 1.44MB. You're better off finding a free old computer that has a floppy drive if you want to play with them. And a normal card reader without a floppy drive wasting space (and money)
Hmm guys. I was going to get a i5 2500k but they're out of stock all they have is 3550s and 3570s apparently they're not too good compared to the 2500k
uh, they're better?
apparently they're worse for overclocking and heat up a lot more but I dont plan on overclocking [editline]4th July 2012[/editline] 3570k it is?
yes
I just installed the H80 on my stock clock i7 920. Goes to 100C in Prime95. I spent 5 hours installing it because I had to get my motherboard out of the case and it doesn't work. Fuck that. [editline]4th July 2012[/editline] My friend accidentally touched the thermal paste while helping me so it's a bit uneven. I suppose that isn't enough to let it go 40C over what it's meant to be with the H80 on stock clock.
Can someone help me? Whenever I try to put steam in offline mode it doesn't work. I keep getting a message saying that "offline mode is unavailable because there is no steam login information stored on this computer" Help?

You can't enter it if you've shut off since you last logged in.
