Wouldn't I need an expensive active adapter to change VGA to DisplayPort?
An active one.

Don't suppose you have a UK link? It's also expensive, can I not just put my old card in and run the other two monitors off that?

No, but this is: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Accell-B101B-003B-UltraAV-Display-Adapter/dp/B003HC85D2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1342444027&sr=8-1

Do you have three monitors?
Beacon, what inputs do you have on the back of the card? What you can do is, buy a cheap adapter for one monitor, buy the active converter for another, and use the native input for the last monitor. I think this is what you wanted to do. Because the gpu can only process two dvi, vga, or hdmi inputs with one card. So you need to convert the third input with the active converter. Hope this helps.

HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI-I and DVI-D.

And what inputs do your monitors have?

All are VGA but my main IPS monitor also has a DVI-D.

Here's what I would do. Plug the ips with a dvi-d, use a vga to dvi adapter for the second, and then buy an active vga to displayport for the third. It's the cheapest option here.
Hello, I've currently got a Thinkpad Edge E520 with a pretty busted up hard disk.
I'm going to need a new one by the end of the week and I'm stuck between buying a 250 GB Hard disk (for £39) or a 120GB Solid State (for £69).
My problem comes down to this: I don't have a lot of money right now but it's just a temporary problem, should I buy the cheaper, larger drive now and wait for SSDs to come down in price some more?.
A secondary question is appropriately how long will it be until SSDs reach price parity with HDDs?
Does anyone know of a good PC joystick I can get for under $50?
Still no replies about the Request Ownership thingy on Windows?
I really want to delete some files but it won't let me because of the TrustedInstaller thingy on Windows. Those files are from my old Vista install. Would like to get rid of them without searching for my Linux CD or formatting the partion.
Looking to buy an SSD (U.S.), what are the brands to stay away from besides Mushkin and OCZ?
Planning on getting a 128GB SSD for my new laptop, should I just opt for this or wait for a sale?
Crucial M4, Intel 520/820 series
I thought OCZ were good for SSDs
I'm not really in the loop with SSDs
Crucial M4, Intel 520/820 series
Adata seems like the best buy, being $20 cheaper than the M4 and $40 than an Intel 520, while also getting good reviews so I think I'll stick with that one.

They have some pretty bad reviews on Newegg with failure and warranty horror stories.
I've only heard bad things about Adata, but it's up to you.
[editline]16th July 2012[/editline]
Intel 520/820 series are definitely the most reliable SSD drives at a pretty penny
Maybe I'll opt for a Crucial M4 128GB instead. Having trouble finding any better prices than Newegg for SSDs, is that pretty much the case or do I need to look harder.
Newegg is usually the place with the lowest prices unless you live near a microcenter.
If I purchased the laptop I just bought with a Crucial M4 (128GB) it would have been $100. Time to contact customer support and see if I can get it at the discounted price :v:
Why cant I copy encrypted Windows files, even linux gives errors.I found the key now, but I don't get it.

Samsung's 830 is probably more reliable since they make every component & the software of their SSD.

and
"f602d745733f0b4acd6769c4a4d5eb"
these 2 weird folders created themselves at some point
I think they are related to .NET and I can't remove them or move them
Is there any way to get rid of them?
Yes, take ownership.
Is Asus 24" VE247H any good? I'm getting it for 120 euros barely used.

It's a pretty good monitor and I'd say go for it.

If you linked it to your google account or just export them before you uninstall.
