I'm an amateur when it comes to computer hardware but would i be able to replace any parts from my current dell inspiron laptop with my old toshiba laptop to increase cpu speed?
Not likely. Many laptops have processors soldered on, not replaceable at all. Even if they are in a socket, they are most likely not using the same socket (especially if there's a significant age difference).
Odds are the only thing you can swap between them are the hard drive and maybe RAM (if they're both the same type, eg. DDR2 or DDR3). If the RAM is faster or larger on the other one (or if there's an open slot), go for it.
Overall, laptops aren't that upgradeable.
Voltage goes up a little bit if the computer either doesn't turn on or the cpu is unstable. Make sure you have good cooling because the temp will rise the higher you increase the voltage.
So I should Just adjust the multipliers until it becomes unstable, then raise Voltage by small increments until I have a stable boot?

Yep, that's basically it.

I love the top screenshot, but I'm not a fan of the the circles for the minimize/maximize/close buttons.
But that's beside the point.
SleekSeven or BlackSeven? I like the themes with seven/7 in them because they're easily distinguishable from other Windows themes.
Would a 600 watt power supply be sufficient for a computer with an i5 and a gtx570? If I'm not doing anything extreme.

You'll use about 280-300w full load, 600w will give you more than enough efficiency and upgrade headroom.
Yeah, you should be fine
edit;
wow tennant you would
What's a better version of the Geforce GTX670, Gigabyte or Leadtek?
What's a better version of the Geforce GTX670, Gigabyte of Leadtek?
I am atleast VERY pleased with my Gigabyte version.
What's a better version of the Geforce GTX670, Gigabyte of Leadtek?
Gigabyte because of the aftermarket cooler.
I'm writing this on behalf of my friend. He has problems when trying to play Max Payne 3 Multiplayer (He bought Max Payne 3 on Steam).
Whenever he tries he tries to connect to a server, he recives a message saying Recived bad data from host - Leaving game. He can host his own server without any problems and play by himself there.
I tried searching for solutions on Google but did not find anything useful. Does someone know a solution to this?
Thanks in advance.
I'm heading off to university in the fall, looking for a new laptop that has a decent battery life as well as being able to play fairly new games with decent settings - any suggestions? Even a point in the right direction in terms of brands/websites will do me.

How good are these SSDs?

I'm thinking of using one as a boot drive for my thinkpad T61.

What are your opinions on these products? I'm planning on upgrading and I want to see if I'm getting a good price/performance ratio?

OCZ generally gets some bad reviews from what I've seen, and I'd also opt for a larger 128GB SSD.
This is what I'm using in my laptop right now.

£15 more, double the space and way more reliable.
I didn't get an answer before, so let me paste my question here

It must be mSATA.
And i can't just get a DVD to HDD caddy as the aux battery is in there.

Does this sale look alright?

I'm selling it and I've tried to market it as common as possible, I feel the price is actually really bloody good and you'd pay well over a grand for the same performance retail, anything I should change?

Anyone?
Anyone?
Don't get that 570, get the MSI one for $250 or get a 7870 which is more in line with the GTX 580 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127662 and the 7950 is $330 ($310 after rebate) which would be the next tier up.
You can then use what you saved to get a 3570k and a decent Z77/Z68 board.

Looks a fair price, I'd be tempted to snaffle it if I didn't have a fairly new build anyway.

Do it anyway, then we can meet and share a beer.
