Has anybody else run into issues with the latest Firefox update? I am suddenly unable to start the browser at all without it crashing, all addons and shit have been disabled and I removed all old cookies, still no dice. The odd part is that I can reinstall the browser and it will work for one session, trying to open it again afterwards leads to the same crash. Any help would be awesome, Chrome just isn't working out for me. Edit: New development, I can get it to open by checking for Flash player updates in the control panel. It opens firefox to the main Flash page and works until I need to open a new session. Now I'm even more confused. Why the christ can't I open Firefox normally?
Any possible solutions? Kinda sick of opening my flash player settings just to open firefox.
How long does typical thermal paste (specifically OCZ Freeze) tend to last? I mean both on the CPU and while in the tube. My CPU temps have been rising lately and I'm thinking I should re-apply the paste, but I've had this tube of OCZ Freeze for like 2 years now and I don't know if it's still any good.
Grab some Arctic Silver 5 and reapply with that.
Grab some Arctic Silver 5 and reapply with that.
AS 5 isn't even that good anymore Get some MX4. I'd honestly get whichever is cheaper, though. temperature differences are going to be incredibly minimal
But will my 2-year old OCZ Freeze still do the job? Or will it not work as well as it should?
I use MX4, I quite like it. Though as Flubber said, the differences are very small. 1-2c generally. It can only be so good after a certain point.
What is Photoshop doing?
You appear to have found a Missingno.
Took me a while to find since I wasn't searching for the right term (ended up being "shelf life", couldn't think of what to call it) but OCZ Freeze only lasts 2 years after you first open it, so I don't think I should risk putting this stuff on since it's been pretty much 2 years since I got the stuff. I'm gonna go ahead and buy MX-4 since I can't find OCZ Freeze to buy anywhere unfortunately; seems like it's been discontinued. :( Thanks for the help and advice guys.
Not sure if i post this in here but i'll do it anyway to be on the safer side. I'm just wondering what monitor you guys would recommend thats in the 150 to 175$ (AUD) price range, As my current monitor is burnt out and all black screens are like a burnt grey, All it needs to be is say 24 inch and off course be 1080-p and i'd prefer if it was a slim monitor also but that isn't really a big deal, All suggestions are appeciated.
Do it anyway, then we can meet and share a beer.
It would be just as impossible for me to get away with buying alcohol now as it would have been last time you asked.
A couple months back there was a study published about the effectiveness of internet security packages or something. They highlighted which ones were the best packages without bias and stuff. I was wondering if anyone had a link? I'm currently using AVG but it's pretty hoggy resource wise and just isn't cutting it any more.
Does this sale look alright? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320949809237?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649#ht_1028wt_1396 I'm selling it and I've tried to market it as common as possible, I feel the price is actually really bloody good and you'd pay well over a grand for the same performance retail, anything I should change?
Are you really moving to Hong Kong? Only last week you were looking for replacement SSD's for the one that's in that machine.
Thinking about getting one of those radio microphones for my computer for gaming and radio like podcasting. Was wondering what the best one was? Pricing is not an issue. [editline]22nd July 2012[/editline] Was looking at this but I'm not sure if the quality is what I'm looking for http://www.amazon.com/PSA-Swivel-Mount-Studio-Microphone/dp/B001D7UYBO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1342984539&sr=8-1&keywords=radio+microphone
Whenever I get a message on steam, it automatically lowers the volume for everything else that is producing sound so as to have the steam notification sound be as loud as possible. This is really annoying when I'm on skype or on youtube. I can't find any option on steam to disable this and I don't even know if it a setting on steam or on my PC, does anyone know how to get rid of it?

Apparently that link I have above is a piece of shit and it isn't even a mic. Looking at this instead: http://www.amazon.com/CAD-GXL2200-Cardioid-Condenser-Microphone/dp/B0002EKEHS/ref=sr_1_17?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1342989343&sr=1-17&keywords=microphone thoughts? Will I also be able to use this for voice chat, as well as recording?
Just got an ASUS TF300T Transformer Tablet. I'm looking for some case suggestions. I'd like them to be available at the usual retail stores, but if not its no big deal.
Hey everyone, I don't know if this is the right thread to post this, but does anyone know of a good and relatively cheap headset? I live in Malta, these are the sites I have access to: http://www.simarksupplies.com/ http://www.scanmalta.com http://www.klikk.com.mt http://www.ultramalta.com Price range, I'm willing to spend a bit more for a good headset, but I say maximum budget is about 80 euro. Also I don't mind using Amazon UK if those sites don't have good headsets. Thanks a lot guys!
http://amazon.co.uk/dp/B002R5ABPU http://amazon.co.uk/dp/B00029MTMQ Much better than a headset for sound quality and build
if i were to get a different motherboard with the same chipset (z77) as the one i have now, installation wise, would I only need to uninstall the current motherboard's drivers?
if i were to get a different motherboard with the same chipset (z77) as the one i have now, installation wise, would I only need to uninstall the current motherboard's drivers?
Almost certainly, they use different hardware controllers and have different features apart from the chipset.
anything else besides the drivers though? or is that it or will anything function differently?
Are you really moving to Hong Kong? Only last week you were looking for replacement SSD's for the one that's in that machine.
I needed one for secure storage and the other for a laptop.
I'm saving up for a new monitor and I have $125 right now. What are some good choices? Looking into 1080p and hdmi of course. Looking in the $100-$200 range.
anything else besides the drivers though? or is that it or will anything function differently?
May have to reauthenticate windows, make sure to download everything you'll need before switching mobos, because the internet drivers may not work without the provided motherboard drivers.
I can't be the only one but lately (say about a day or 2 ago) Flash has been crashing a lot and refuses to even load some websites that use flash (youtube still opens and plays videos). Even with Chrome's flash and whatever flash I have installed for something else.
For microphones, I'm actually leaning toward this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002VA464S/ref=s9_simh_gw_p267_d0_g267_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1NZS155MFR5FRY225P2T&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846 Most reviews seem positive, and in side by side comparisons, the Yeti blows everything away.
