Can anyone recommend 4 Gb of RAM for this motherboard?
Hmm. I can't replace explorerframe.dll on 64 bit w7. I can rename it, but teracopy won't over write the file that doesnt exist.
Gaming should be around 60-68c depending on what cooler you have for your CPU and around the same for your GPU (some GPUs can hit 75 or 80c but they're still okay depends on what GPU you have)
Idling should be about 30c for both CPU and GPU again depending on what cooler you have for your CPU and what model you have for your GPU plus you gotta take air flow into a factor you got good airflow going the case will stay relatively cool and heat shouldn't be a serious factor.
For my cooler I have a cooler master hyper 212 plus, My CPU is a Intel Core i5 3570K, and my GPU is a AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series. I guess I should've listed them the first time. What should the temps be around for those? Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem before. Using Windows's own file moving utility instead let me overwrite it.
What program do you guys use to measure the temp of your CPU/GPU?
Hwmonitor

Thanks, worked perfectly!
Is Windows 98se going to be functional with the Internet of 2012? I recently got an old Dell Inspiron 2500 and formatted it for Windows 98se, I'd like to make it internet capable but I'm concerned that it might have issues on a lot of modern websites. I found a wireless adapter that's compatible but'd I'd like an opinion from Facepunch before I buy it.
Specs:
Intel Pentium III
254MB RAM
10.0GB HDD
Intel 82815 Graphics Controller
Windows 98, maybe not, but I know I've used lower-spec computers (Athlon 900) with modern websites using Linux or BSD. Unfortunately, Firefox, Chrome and Opera require XP or higher.
You may need a different OS, if you want to use modern websites. XP should run on that, albeit slowly, and there's always Ubuntu.
Could I get on Facepunch? The real reason I have it is for legacy games, so it's not tragic if I couldn't get on the internet with it. But it's a laptop so I can take it anywhere and use it (as long as I bring the power adapter, battery is only about 15 minutes.) If I can have my cake and eat it too why not? Although I'm afraid of what Windows Update might do.
I would really like to improve Chrome's omnibox's autocomplete history searcher thingy. You know when you want to go to a site you previously was on before and you type it into the omnibox and it should either autocomplete it or find the page.
But it almost never ever succeeds in that. Firefox did it flawlessly but in Chrome I only get like 2 results of one particular site I've been to.

actually it seems to work better than before now, but if anyone knows if there are any extensions so you can customize the history searcher that would be great
My accommodation has wireless but it only allows 2 MAC addresses per account so I'm wondering if I can do something with my router.
I have an ASUS RT-N56U router and I want to know if it's possible to:
1) Set it up in AP mode
2) Plug it into my computer
3) Bridge the incoming wireless connection to the LAN
4) Re-broadcast the signal from my router using the input from my computer
So:
Original router-->Wireless USB stick-->Network Bridge-->LAN cable-->Router
I just installed the Windows 8 preview and something on my computer is taking up a huge amount of space. I only have about 3 games installed, so there's about 80gb just magically missing. What could be taking up so much space?
So next year I'm going to a new school and follow another class (not sure what it's called in English but in dutch it's ''informatica''). It's gonna be webdesign/programming/... and since I need a laptop for it, but I recently bought a new gaming pc, I'm a bit low on budget. So my question is: What's the best €450/540 dollar/355 pound laptop with good battery life I can get that'll be good for this kind of stuff.
I dont know if I should do this question here or in support or maybe in Fast Threads so if it doesnt belong here, please ignore it and point to the right section please!
I moved to south america, and I'm going to be living there for a good while. I used to play alot of online games with friends from Europe in European servers, in my last location the lag wasnt bad at all but here in South america the "server" lag is unbearable.
I was told there is some sort of software that improves your ping and shit, so you can play decently on servers that are located far away and stuff, does anyone around here know about one and/or can recommend me one?

AFAIK there's no software out there that can noticeably reduce the latency between you and servers that far away. Latency depends on the routing of the packets going to/from your computer to the server, which is something you have little control over. Those packets have a long way to go, and there are probably a ton of hops between you and the server.
TL;DR I doubt any software will actually make a difference
Paying £170 ($250) to upgrade to a 3570k/GTX 670, coming from a 1090T/2x 6870, worth it?
Only £170?
Yes.
Only £170?
Yes.
670 better be worth it, I could get a 3770k if I went a 7870 instead.

My 570 handled pretty much everything on the highest settings, 670 should be great.
Where are you getting those for £170 anyway?
He probably is selling his old shit, otherwise you'd never get that kinda price.
Where are you getting those for £170 anyway?
Someone offered £450 for my current which is less than expected but I can't be bothered waiting, then I'll add £170 to that and get:

He's coming to pick it up tomorrow, £450 in cash is a little dodgy though.
That RAM is 1.65V. Shouldn't it normally be at 1.5V unless overclocked?
Doesn't really matter, it's on sale!
What's so dodgy about cash?
What's so dodgy about cash?
Exactly, cash is king.
I currently have a 6870, and a Phenom II x4 965.
I am considering adding anothing 6870 in crossfire, which I could do right now, but my concern is my power supply.
The power supply is a brand called "Powercool". Which I cant find anything about. It is 950w and modular, but was considerable cheaper than other similar ones from decent brands. (The PSU in question)
I am basically worried that it is a bit dodgy, though I have been using it for 2+ years without much problem. Im just not sure I want to trust it with 2 6870's, though it is powerful enough and has the right connectors.
So, any advice? Do you think it is ok, or should I consider buying a better PSU before anything else?
I can't find anything on that brand. That's too scary for me, I would get a new psu.

But that's like another £100 for a similar one :(
