Any recommendations for someone who is new and trying to get into the flight sims for a flight stick/joystick/whatever term is proper for the tool?
What's a good, cheap USB Bluetooth adapter for your computer? I want to start using my Wiimote and PS3 controllers over Bluetooth, and I'm betting I'll be able to find a use for my phone as well.

Best price/performance 1TB HDD? Samsung F3? [editline]31st July 2012[/editline]
What's a good, cheap USB Bluetooth adapter for your computer? Have to unplug/replug it sometimes as it doesn't show up in motioninjoy but I don't know if that is the program or the actual device. Either way you cant really go wrong for £1.12
can someone recommend me a decent mousepad? mine is incredibly small and fraying and i really need a new one
literally anything from the dollar/pound/whatever store

Is the GTX 670 a better buy than the 680? The performance is about the same but I hear that when the new drivers for the 680 come out, it will be in the lead by much more. If the drivers are coming out any time soon, will it be worth the extra $100?
Okay. If it was a CRT then I would say the tube is dying replace it asap. Have you tried any other monitor and has the problem occurred in those circumstances?
I haven't tried any other monitor, but this is a sturdy, cutting-edge DELL monitor and I seriously doubt it's broken. Anyway, it still happens; screen just goes black for a rough 2 seconds and then back to normal. It also happens as rarely as ever, about 1-3 times every 10 hours or so. What could it be, again? It might be off-related to the screen itself. this kind of makes it hard to try with another monitor because the bug happens so rarely :P Edit

This the monitor in question btw; DELL "Ultrasharp" U2211H type-deal.
Is wireless fine for gaming now days or should I get wired?
Is wireless fine for gaming now days or should I get wired?
Should be fine as long as you have a good signal and a decent router
My 4890 just died. When it's in my computer, I turn it on and get no video. However, when I use my crappy 8400 GS, it works just fine. Is there any way to fix a dead GPU? I don't want to use this 8400 GS.
Yes bake it, remove the heatsink and place it GPU facing down in the oven at 200 celcius for 8 minutes (on foil is recommended), remove and let it stand for 30 minutes, then apply thermal paste and put the heatsink back on.
Is wireless fine for gaming now days or should I get wired?
Wireless keyboard and mouse or wireless internet?
I've been looking at this laptop here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834246628 Are there any others that are better, but within the same price range? Or is this the best I'll find for around $800-$900?
Wireless keyboard and mouse or wireless internet?
Either way both are fine no matter what most people tell you. Incoming down votes from the CS:S players.
So I'm preparing a build ATI HD 6870 1GB Crucial CT2KIT25664BA1067 4GB DDR3 RAM AMD Phenom II X4 3.4Ghz MSI 990FXA motherboard Seagate ST500DM002 500GB 16mb cache HDD Antec 300 Case (with blue LEDs) Corsair Enthusiast TX V2 CMPSU-650TXV2UK 650W power supply Price: £491 It's only rough and it's more getting used to arranging a build (I only have a bit over 1/3 of the budget) but I'm wondering, will that phenom hold back the 6870? Or a 570? Also, anything that may be missing is being carried over from my current PC
The Phenom II's aren't that bad for the price, I have the next model up(maybe two can't remember) from yours and I have a 6970 along side it.

Other than that, I dread the day when I'm in the middle of a game and my keyboard's battery runs out. [editline]31st July 2012[/editline] Also, a little heads up, this isn't Reddit so downvotes don't actually exist.

I think I remember hearing that it'd bottle a 570, I've got a spare 100 in my budget but I don't know what to improve [editline]1st August 2012[/editline] I dunno whether to stick with th 6870 and get other stuff better, or go for a 560ti/570, but I'm worried by that phenom. A few YouTube comments claim that a phenom bottlenecks the 570, not sure about 6780/560ti. Some guy was bottleneckee and lost ~40fps on some game. Excuse nighttime iPod typing.

Well, I've been trying to get crysis to work on my system, but it's running extremely slow, which makes almost no sense. I turned on task manager and it's only using, at most, 16% of my quad core, 3.0 Ghz processor. Is there some way to fix this? I've tried setting it's priority to real time, but that does jack shit to FPS. I've also checked its affinity, it's set to use all cores. I know the Athlon II isn't the best processor, but it should run better than 20 FPS in combat, ESPECIALLY on a four year old game.

I've been using my GTX570 for the last couple months flawlessly, but today I tried launching StarCraft 2 and I was barely getting 5 FPS on medium @ 1920x1080, I put it all on low and I had around 30FPS, I checked to see if it was maybe just the new SC2 patch screwing this up. When I launched BF3, I usually play on mostly high @ 1080p with around 45FPS, I'm now getting really low FPS in this too. Tried updating drivers and it didn't work, what should I do? I started getting all these weird ads that seem to highlight random words on a webpage and gives me ads for it eg Any ideas on how to get rid of it? I checked my Chrome extensions and nothing is installed there that would do this.
How can you say that nothing instaleld there could be doing this, also check for third party programs you isntalled that have toolbars and that kinda crap.
Ah nevermind, some extension called "Fast Save" was causing it
If it does bottleneck it it wont be by much but if you have the money its worth upgrading the CPU. I don't know what is what any more, it all kind of blends into one after a while.
Would the phenom 965 bottleneck a SINGLE asus 560ti TOP 2gb?
What settings are you using, and what are the full specs to your machine (or at least CPU, GPU, RAM, and OS).
Specs: Athlon II x4 640 @ 3.0 Ghz 4 Gb RAM GTX 460 768Mb Windows 7 Changing the settings in the game makes almost no difference, there's maybe a 10 fps difference between Low and High, changing resolution doesn't help, haven't even tried turning on AA. It's this that convinces me that it's the processor causing the problem, but it does fine in most other games, except maybe the ones that are especially hard on the processor ( like GTA IV, Skyrim) but these can be helped by lowering draw distance. I don't know of a way to do that in Crysis. My main issue here is that Crysis is almost five years old, but my rig runs it TERRIBLY even though it runs much better looking games much better.
Alright, i'm getting a bit of pocket money soon and I need help deciding on a mouse, keyboard and headset. I can spend a decent amount of money but not like £130 for a Blackwidow ultimate shit. I was thinking of getting a Razer Anansi 'cause of the amount of WoW I play, but I also play other games too, but another thing that put me off is that it isn't mechanical, its dome keys. I was also thinking of getting the Gamescom 780 headset as it's £40 and really really good for the price. So i've heard from a handful of reviews and a couple friends. (http://www.plantronics.com/us/product/gamecom-780) Not really sure about the mouse, I wanted to get the Naga molten but i'm left handed and I don't think pressing the macro keys would be easy with mylittle finger and the useless third finger, but i'm not too sure. Any advice would be nice. £200 would be ideal but I may be able to stretch it a little bit. I recently bought a new rig so I can't spend too much. Thanks guys.
