I got my wacom intuos4 tablet in the mail today, and the drivers refuse to work. I downloaded them from the website and nothing is working besides just mouse detection (no pressure etc). What could I do to fix this?
My main Desktop had a hard disk crash, and more or less died about a month ago. So, I got a pretty strong laptop, but it's not strong enough to run brand new games and MMOs. I have the funds to be able to get a new desktop, but I don't want to go over 1,000USD, and I do not have the technical know-how to add graphic cards, RAM, or anything of the sort to PCs. So, I came across this Desktop; http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Asus+-+Essentio+Desktop+-+8GB+Memory+-+1TB+Hard+Drive/5555478.p?id=1218658995316&skuId=5555478 Would this desktop be capable of running more or less most games up until now? Not on high graphics, although that would be preferred. To clarify what games I'm hoping to run, mostly Skyrim, Mechwarrior Online, or any game from this year going back.
Don't buy a prebuilt, Not having the "know how" to build one is bullshit, it's like LEGO for adults.
Most prebuilts I've previously owned have gotten the job done, I don't see the issue. I don't want stellar graphics, I just want it to run things, preferably on low or medium settings. And, as I have never built a PC or anything, I also have that beginner's fear of messing up. Which is why I'd prefer a prebuilt, mostly because it will also be a simultaneous university PC along with personal gaming.
Building a PC is piss easy just do it.

That's a big problem with pre-builts, they are usually built to be priced as low as possible and the one component they almost always skimp on is the graphics card. Of course, for gaming the graphics card is the one component you can't skimp on. In the Nvidia 5xx series, the 550ti is the minimum for gaming. That 520 is a basic graphics card designed for HTPC and office use, not gaming. The other thing to watch out for is even if you're willing to buy a videocard to upgrade a pre-built, a lot of times it's not possible because the pre-builts usually come with power supplies that don't put out enough power to handle a gaming videocard.
How is the MSI Z77A-G43, (overclocking etc) I will probably never do SLI so I don't care for it. Is it worth the money? Using it with: 1333mhz 6 GB RAM GTX 580 OC i7 3570K
If you don't want to SLI why buy a SLI board?
could anyone recommend me some solid defragging software? I hear the standard windows one is sub par running 64 bit windows 7 if it matters thanks
Does anyone have any personal experience with catleap monitors? I'm sat here with my debit card in hand just weighing the pros/cons.
If you don't want to SLI why buy a SLI board?
Because it's not an sli board? Anyone know why my GPU got up to 95c in TF2 while spectating? (EVGA GTX 670) I mean, not even BF3 gets it that high. Edit: Oh god I'm so stupid, I accidentaly looked at GPU usage in msi afterburner and not temperatures, ignore that. Jesus I nearly shit myself in fear.
Do you guys know anything about IP scrambling and, if so, can you suggest any?
Is it possible to add more search engines in this field? ie I want Wikipedia to be under GoGoDuck as a second search engine [editline]12th August 2012[/editline] btw it's chrome
repost, anyone help?
I been looking for a good case for under $100 How's the Corsair 300R. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139011

Does anyone have recommendations for a monitor? I'd like it to be 23"+ Resolution 1920x1080+ Preferably IPS Preferably no speakers Max price of $350 Small edge around it (I'd probably getting a second/third on once I get the money.) Going to be used for Gaming/Movies/General Use I've been looking at these: ASUS PA248Q Dell UltraSharp U2412M ASUS VG23AH FSM-270YG
So I'm trying to setup a home FTP server, and I've got a host registered with dynDNS. I've followed this tutorial exactly with no luck. SmartFTP tries to connect to my router's external IP, so I know dynDNS is doing its job, but it ends up telling me that there was no response. Halp?
Should I go with the Radeon HD 6850 or Radeon HD 6750? The 6750 is close but $60 cheaper, and I'm on a bit of a tight budget. Can the 6750 handle all the modern games? How long would it be before I should replace it?
What do you currently have and what's your budget?
What do you currently have and what's your budget?
Radeon 5570, and my budget for the GPU is no more than $150
Get the 6850 then.

Loads of hardware bays, fancy looks, 40 cm grpahics cards? And do you want a overpriced case or just a normal case? Are you looking for something soundproof? Something that just looks fancy?
could anyone recommend me some solid defragging software? It just doesn't show a pretty graphic of what it's doing and doesn't have configuration options. It's set by default to ignore file fragments over a certain size (because the benefits in consolidating them are minor compared to the time cost) and I guess that gets people riled up. So unless you have OCD, then it's perfectly fine. If you do, use MyDefrag.

Defraggler is definitely the software to go with for actual results.

Most other programs by default attempt to consolidate every single fragment on the drive. I'm pretty sure the Windows one ignores file fragments above 100MB in size because Microsoft, after years of making this supposedly bad program found it wasn't worth the amount of I/O required to "fix" it. So yes, if you run the Windows on on a storage oriented drive, or even a mixed one, other programs will scream after an analysis that there's still a lot of fragmentation. What they don't tell you is the fact most of it isn't important or detrimental. Now as I said, the Windows version isn't perfect. Considering the algorithm it employs it should be quite a bit faster than it is, and options to set the fragmentation cut off size or remove it entirely would put it at the same level as any other program. Almost all of them use the same API anyway.
