So my internet goes out whenever it rains. Not consistently, but when it rains my internet will go on and off at random intervals. When it's on it's at full speed, too. I have DSL. What could the problem be?
If I use an unformatted drive for my new computer, would it boot windows?
As in, a drive from another computer that already had windows pre-installed on it?
Yes.
As in, a drive from another computer that already had windows pre-installed on it?
If so, then it would try to boot Windows. Some set of drivers might flip a bitch and bluescreen though.

Hell, I've done it as far back as XP. It just doesn't run nearly as well as a fresh install, so I've only ever done it as a temporary measure, and I imagine OEM installs won't work, but it's possible.
BRT, I ended up getting one of those 1440p screens, I didn't go with a Korean one though, I don't have massive balls unfortunately, thanks for your help.
Enjoy the monitor. And your fucking ducky shine
I bought a 550D a few lenses too, keyboard money, you have a Corsair anyway that's fine.
As for moving a unprepped windows, there are several live cds that can do a better sysprep than windows.
How playable would a game be if I tried to play it off of an SD card? Let's say I installed TF2 on one. I'm guessing it would run like trash?
How playable would a game be if I tried to play it off of an SD card? Let's say I installed TF2 on one. I'm guessing it would run like trash?
It'd run fine, but your loading times would probably be unbearable.
How playable would a game be if I tried to play it off of an SD card? Let's say I installed TF2 on one. I'm guessing it would run like trash?
You could, but it would run at unplayable framerates.
Alright. I have another question about how flashdrives and other things start to deteriorate after you format them. Am I better off just deleting things or formatting it completely?
How playable would a game be if I tried to play it off of an SD card? Let's say I installed TF2 on one. I'm guessing it would run like trash?
Loading times wouldn't be that much worse than an HD. Maybe twice, but the reader is some of the limit. Access times would be good since it's flash.
Alright. I have another question about how flashdrives and other things start to deteriorate after you format them. Am I better off just deleting things or formatting it completely?
It really doesn't matter. Deleting just removes the record for a file, and formatting removes the records for the entire drive. The only thing that would be bad is doing a full wipe where you overwrite everything with random data.
So would my best guess to be install windows 8 before I put it into my new computer?
Its driver related for sure. Revert to old. Try again.
Upped to latest beta drivers, works great now. Cheers!
Does anyone have a good 1200x1600 wallpaper?

Yeah no they barely have anything at all. [editline]22nd August 2012[/editline] Except of course "beautiful" girls but that's not what I am looking for.

I always come across at least a few gems within the first 10 "pages" or whatever
I have looked through wallbase and they don't have really anything at this size.
Of course now the site goes down just as I was about to save a bunch Edit: annnd it's back
I have looked through wallbase and they don't have really anything at this size.
Damn, you're right, there isn't as many nice ones at 1600x1200. I guess you could also try 1920x1200/2560x1600 etc and then crop and resize if you find one you really like. I've just been going through 2560x1600

Trying to render a timelapse. However, when I import an mp3 it doesn't play in the rendered video, it plays just fine in the Vegas Preview Window. Any ideas?
On your render window, click on custom, go go audio tab, make sure the audio is checked. Then make sure your media player isn't muted.
