Is there an easy to make pdf's out of .jpg's? Every single thing that I saw involved "printing" every single image or putting it into a word document and saving it then convert it.
Right, the time has come for me to abandon my intel hd 3000 and buy a proper graphics card. This is my dilemma: I want something of the level of the 6770, but the 6770 is not as good value for money as the 6850 at all. I was hoping to find a 6770 for £70ish on amazon (I'd rather buy it with my amazon gift vouchers than with real money, although real money is an option if need be) but they're all like £80/£85, and the 6850 is £90 on ebuyer and other sites. I don't play games an awful lot so the 6850 is definitely overkill I think, but it's only £20 over my budget so I'm finding it hard to draw the line somewhere. What should I do? Thanks [editline]29th August 2012[/editline] also is it viable to get a 2nd hand card? I would love to pay £50 for a 2nd hand 6770
Is there an easy to make pdf's out of .jpg's? There is no easier way.
When I turn off all the lights all I can see is a faint glow from my unplugged CRT monitor that hasn't been on in months is this normal
When I turn off all the lights all I can see is a faint glow from my unplugged CRT monitor that hasn't been on in months is this normal
sort of, a CRT has a fluorescent screen which glows when electrons are fired at it, so if there's nothing being fired at it it might have some 'glow' left over or the vacuum in the tube might be broken so it's interacting with a couple of stray electrons
The phosphor can absorb and then radiate light energy. Sort of like glow in the dark.
Guys, help needed. Recently I've came to notice that when I play games, my FPS slowly goes draining and draining up to the point of getting to 20 fps from regular 100. It doesn't look like an overheating problem because when I reboot my PC, everything turns back to normal.... for time. But when I start playing games again, after switching from Counter Strike Source to Dragon Age Origins, for example, my FPS goes to shit. Going to clean dust off now and run CCleaner, if that doesn't help how can I find the root of the problem?
Try updating drivers
Done already.
My power management is being a tard in Windows 7. I set my power plan's "Turn of display" settings to Never, yet it still continues to turn the monitor off after 15 or 20 minutes. The settings do save because when I review the settings it is set to Never. Any help with this, guys? It's pretty annoying when I'm trying to watch a movie or something.

Thinking about installing a touchscreen to my Samsung NC10 and going Win8. Thoughts?
What's the best entry level graphics card for gaming that doesn't need additional power supply connections? The ones that only run off the PCI-E power. I was looking at cards like the HD 6570 with GDDR5.
Nobody answered my question (I think) from the previous page Does my 9800 GT support two monitors, one being my current VGA monitor and one being a HDMI compatible TV at 1080i
Alright I think I dun goofed... I bought some Dynex thermal paste for like 10 bucks at best buy, I had an old GPU and CPU with dried paste ( Athlon 64 3000+ and 9800 gt EE ) and I placed the thermal paste on both.. Well I popped off the GPU heatsink to make sure it was sitting properly because I was getting weird temps and it turns out there wasn't enough, so I went to go look at the CPU... Well lets just say that this stuff is like glue and it pulled out my CPU while the retaining arm was down and it ripped it right out, none of the pins are missing or bent but did I mess something up?
Well you just said you pulled the socket out with it.
No the socket is still there, it ripped the CPU out of the socket while the arm was down. [editline]29th August 2012[/editline]
Oh wait I was thinking of a different kind of socket. Well it should be fine really.
I hope so.. This is my only desktop I can use right now, and I can't even use it till I get another RAM stick.
Well as long as the pins are undamaged as you said, the worst that can have happened is some surface scratching on the contacts. Just open the bracket and put it back in.
Hoping for the best, Never removing this heatsink again though. Thermal paste is like freakin super glue.
It shouldn't be, might be the suction, but I've never had it really glue on really hard.
use advanced settings over that.
What do you mean? Advanced power settings? 'Cause it still doesn't work.
Anyone with a GTX670 able to play Evil Genius? I just get black screen and the reference rasterizer crash
I have an Intel Core i5 760 @ 2.80GHz and it usually runs at about 40°C. Would it be safe to overclock it or should I just keep it how it is. If so what would be a safe speed to increase it to?
