yes, and stuff like speccy too
Try going onto your laptop manufacturer website and looking for specific drivers for your laptop model.
My mom is concerned about a plastic smell from my computer which I cannot smell myself. She is worried that it might be toxic and give me cancer. How dangerous is this faint plastic smell?
Is it a new computer? It's only dangerous if it's Alienware. That shit's from another planet.
Is it a new computer? It's only dangerous if it's Alienware. That shit's from another planet.
No, it's fairly old, about 3 years. She hasn't complained about it before. Even though she claims she have since it was built and first activated. It has temperatures around 30-40 when not playing games.
Dust out the computer for her. That will probably fix it (if there is anything wrong) or placate her fears (if there isn't, as is likely).
Dust out the computer for her. That will probably fix it (if there is anything wrong) or placate her fears (if there isn't, as is likely).
I dusted it out about a month ago when it started smelling VERY VERY strong, I couldn't go into my room from the extreme smell, since then she started complaining. She claims she has been complaining since long before even though I cant remember hearing her complaints.
So there IS a smell.
Can anybody give me a few options on how to wirelessly display my computer onto my TV? When Big Picture gets released, I'd like to be able to try playing on the TV in my living room, but that would require several feet of mini-HDMI cables and quite a bit of hole drilling.
wireless hdmi
So there IS a smell.
There is no smell I can feel any more. The smell that was at one point was very very intense, but after I dusted out my computer, the smell dissapeared.
wireless hdmi
My GTX460s only output in mini-HDMI or DVI, would that be an impediment to this? Or can I just output via the integrated chip on the mobo?
My GTX460s only output in mini-HDMI or DVI, would that be an impediment to this? Or can I just output via the integrated chip on the mobo?
If it is a problem, just get a mini- to hdmi adapter I guess?
If it is a problem, just get a mini- to hdmi adapter I guess?
Should do it. Just need to find a setup that isn't overly expensive. Thanks for the help.
My 460 came with a mini-hdmi to hdmi adapter.
Would it be stupid to install x360ce system wide? As in the DLL and the config stuff lives in system32 instead of each game folder? [editline]10th September 2012[/editline] [del]Ignore previous question for now, my controller has completely stopped working. I press a button, it doesn't register. I move a stick, nothing. I've unplugged it, moved ports, everything I could think of. Nothing. Why?[/del] Ignore this second part, controller magically works now, first question is now valid again

When will we see monitors and video cards that go beyond 2560x1600(with a single monitor)? The new mac laptops are 2880x1800.
When will we see monitors and video cards that go beyond 2560x1600(with a single monitor)? The new mac laptops are 2880x1800.
Take apart a new Mac laptop to see a monitor and a graphics card that can go beyond 2560x1600. :v: In all honesty, though, I'd give it a few months. If the new Macbooks catch on (even after the number of crippling problems I've heard they have), electronics manufacturers will see what's going on and adapt.
Not if Apple patents resolutions above 2560x1440 and sues everyone who tries to manufacture displays with the same resolution as retina.
They can't patent every resolution. They'd have to be specific. Just make your display 2576x1449. (Or 2592x1458, 2608x1467, 2624x1476, etc. Those are all exactly 16:9.)
Wrong . You can patent round corners and black borders. As well as everything else Apple patented. So of course you can patent any resolution that is RETINA RETINA RETINA

but then people wouldn't infringe them anymore and they can't sue them :(
What is positively the best site to buy Monitors in the UK? Shipping to non mainland is a requirement
Is it Acer or Asus that do good high end laptops? Need a powerful laptop for university next year and want to start looking now.
Asus. Their ROG series specifically.
