Yes I already have a second NIC in my PC running to router #2.
Yeah, from what I've been able to google you want to go into "Network Connections" in the control panel, select the two connections, then click "Bridge Connections". There's probably more to it than that, to get the routing to work properly, but that should get you started.
Bridge Connections just breaks things completely. As far as I know I did get packet forwarding enabled
Yeah, I'm stumped then. I've never tried to do anything like that, and the only theoretical knowledge I have is for BSD systems, not Windows.
I take it you've already tried Symantec's Norton Removal Tool executable? Also, MSE should be fine installing with other AVs present. As long as Norton doesn't flip a shit over it, you should be fine having them installed at the same time. Both of them running at the same time might cause some strange things to happen, though.
You sir deserve my thanks, used a parent's new laptop as a test subject, Norton Removal Tool worked, installed Avast on it, and no sign of Norton anywhere(except for a Norton Laptop tracker thing if someone steals it you can manually lock it, but it doesn't seem like a bad thing). I feel confident enough to use the tool on my University Laptop now, thank you good sir.
Daww, you're too nice.
Will a 5770 play BF3 at 1280x1024 at around 40 frames?
Does anyone know how well the GTX 660M (the laptop version) is supposed to perform with physx? It runs pretty much everything on max (or at least high, save for things like the Witcher and Call of Pripyat), but when I turn physx on (especially in Borderlands 2) my FPS plummets to the 20s. I'm wondering if it's the GPU or if it's bad drivers or something.

I haven't tried it with PhysX on "high" but I doubt it will bring it down to 20fps. Running the 306.23 drivers.
Will a 5770 play BF3 at 1280x1024 at around 40 frames?
It would just make that, I think. Depending on your memory and processor setup, you might be able to do better. Medium-high to high settings shouldn't give you any problem if you've got a competent system otherwise, but ultra might be a bit of a tax.

[editline]21st September 2012[/editline] I just need something I can play BF3 with at around 40 frames, it can be on low for all I care.
You could probably run BF3 on middle settings at 1080p with that card.

I haven't tried it with PhysX on "high" but I doubt it will bring it down to 20fps. Running the 306.23 drivers.
that's weird... I'm USING the 306.23 drivers. I don't know what it could be, because anything above "low" brings me down to the 20s. I made sure... wait a sec, just now I checked my GPU settings and the physx processor was set to "auto select". Since my laptop switches between integrated graphics and the 660m when it's not gaming, perhaps it's recognizing my slower gpu when the game launches and setting it to the processor, rather than the GPU. Just set it to the 660m, I'll go ingame and see if there's a change. EDIT: it seems to not do anything. It might not be a low framerate, though, it just seems choppy. everything's moving at the same speed (it seems like it, anyway), but it kind of seems like it's skipping frames. EDIT AGAIN: just verified game cache, it found a missing file. Perhaps that's the culprit?
How do I get the sound file out from this webpage, NSFW. http://yoitsu.net/DRAGON_DICK.png/
found the URL in the page source http://yoitsu.net/DRAGON_DICK.png/DRAGON_DICK.mp3
Well, in regards to my Physx problem, nothing seems to work. I don't know if reinstalling physx would help?
Is this a nice laptop? http://www.trustedreviews.com/acer-aspire-timeline-u-m3-581t_Laptop_review I'm going to get a danish model without the graphics card, with the hybrid ssd/hdd, and i'm not sure if it will be i3 or i5, or if it's going be with 4 or 6 gb ram. I'm getting it for school mostly because of the size and the battery life. My friend has one already, and it feels pretty nice and solid.
the specs are sufficient if it's just for school work. That laptop is very similar to the ones at my school actually and they're fine.

I switched some settings to medium and went to 1600x900, and now my fps is great.
Not a question but if anybody was wondering if an i5 3570k + EVGA 660 Ti + 8GB of ram would play games amazingly yes. yes it does, I've got borderlands 2 maxed out (even physx) with insane FPS, source games get capped at 299 FPS :v: and I played crysis at a high FPS with everything on max, except AA but it was at native res so that didn't bother me that much So yeah, not a question just more a post, also thanks to everybody in this thread, without FP I'd be so terrible at making tech decisions, so you're all amazing Now, it's my birthday, so I'm going to go and play skyrim
I need some extremely urgent help, I'm buying the LG IPS235V-BN (IPS) screen for 130euros, the store just has 10 left. Different sites say different response times, some say 5ms and some say 14ms?? Also I can't find out anywhere how many Hz can it run when in full resolution?
what settings and resolution are you running on? I switched some settings to medium and went to 1600x900, and now my fps is great.
Max settings except PhysX on medium, framerate capped at 120fps, and 1920x1080 resolution. A CPU issue perhaps? I'm on an i7 3610QM, 12GB memory. You?
I dont know if this is a problem or if Crossfire is just shittier than I thought, but I have just added a second 6870 to my PC. I took some benchmarks before and after to check its working, and I found that in crysis I get about 25% better performance and about 40% scaling in Metro 2033. From what I had seen on other benchmarks, the scaling should be far better than this, shouldn't it? I notice that generally the GPU usage of each one is about 50-70%. In Metro it did get a little higher though. I am going on average fps, and I did notice that in Metro, the max fps I hit was nearly double, but the average was only a 40% better? Did I install it right? I simply slotted it it, put in the screws, put in the power and put on the bridge. A friend told me I didnt need to worry about drivers as I already have 1 6870 installed (right?) so I just checked crossfire was enabled in CCC and tested it. Also, they are running at x8 x8, not x16 x16, but I believe this makes little to no difference? Help. I just did a crysis benchmark again and I got 1 fps more. 1 fps, for £130? And also, in Vision control center or whatever its called this week, the gpu fan speed is stuck saying 20%, while afterburner says 31 - 33 etc, and GPU clock, Mem clock and temperature all just say 0, so control center doesn't seem to be working properly?
Which version of Sony Vegas should I get? If possible, I'd like these features in the version of it: Magic Bullet Looks Possibly 32bpc "abilities" for SFM HD Video Not too expensive (Less than $100) Preferably from Amazon, Newegg, etc. So basically, I'm looking for the version of Sony Vegas that seemingly everyone in the Source Community uses.
I'm looking to get a DC power adapter for my Dell Inspiron N7110 laptop. Where can I find one that's not deadly expensive. I am also open to universal chargers, as well.

Could anyone help me out here please http://apple.stackexchange.com/q/64951/30562 thanks

You?
only thing different is that I have 8Gbs of memory. This is really weird. Same processor and everything. What's your Vram? Mine's 2gb iirc. Just went in game, made sure all the settings were exactly the same, still get a stuttering. It's bearable when nothing's going on, but it slows down tremendously when in gunfights.
Does this router look good? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833704038&Tpk=N82E16833704038

I actually just found that in some places, it starts lagging far more often than it should. I dropped aniso down to 4x (from 16x), seemed to make it work fine.

OH NO IT LOOKS UNATTRACTIVE it's a fucking router, who gives a flying fuck what it looks like?
