What is the best phone right now for £400 or less?
Not supported by the PS2.
Oh, I thought you were using a PS3 lol. But yeah any of those will work.
I am using Ubuntu and trying to remove a few programs from the start-menu ish thing. But I can't use sudo apt-get autoremove or remove on their name. The names of the programs are Mupen64, Minecraft, Skype. Help, quick?
Look through Synaptic.
I don't know if this is the right place to ask but windows is bugging me with the warning popups. Example: I want to empty my bin? Right click and empty. "are you sure you want to do this" - yea of course I'm sure. Is there a way to disable that, I know it's my own risk if I empty it without it was my intention.

Man I still can't decide on a laptop. The only Lenovo Y580 over in Ireland is the one with the i5 and 750gb hard drive. Don't know if its worth it without the i7. The official Lenovo website for Ireland says it goes up to an i7 but gives only one model of the Y580 and that's the i5, no way to customize it
UAC
I already killed UAC in system management.
Did the chrome settings menu button change? It's now the same as the ICS+ menu button instead of the wrench for me.
Did the chrome settings menu button change? If this wasn't to me I'm sorry, but I guess since you didn't quote someone else.
I already killed UAC in system management.
Did you reboot?
Did the chrome settings menu button change? It's now the same as the ICS+ menu button instead of the wrench for me.
Not entirely sure what you're expecting to do with the information, but yeah, it did change. I compiled Chromium a while back and it had that icon.
Did you reboot?
Of course, I don't think UAC is the problem. I can easily disable trash warning in the properties but it's for everything, deleting folders an such, files. I hate the warning popups!
Oh, you want the normal confirmation message gone? I don't know how to do that, sorry.
I am not sure if it's even possible, if anyone else knows please respond with an answer. I am dying here!
I am not sure if it's even possible, if anyone else knows please respond with an answer. I am dying here!
Use Unix. [editline]25th September 2012[/editline] So I've been thinking about selling/parting out my desktop and just buying a really badass laptop. I don't game like I used to and I never use my desktop to its full potential. I'm a student so mobility is taking precedence. HOWEVER. There's no way I'm giving up having three screens. Anybody heard of solutions that allow you to attach two monitors to a laptop? Preferably something that isn't made by Matrox cause that shit's expensive.
I have a lenovo ideapad y580 laptop. When I'm gaming while plugged into a power source, (I'll use Borderlands 2 as an example) I get upwards of 60 FPS, but when I'm unplugged, my performance drops to around 25 fps, and randomly drops down to 15 every few seconds. I've checked the power settings, and everything related to performance is the same as it is on the plugged-in setting. Anyone know if lenovo has some performance limiting software that I can get rid of? Or what might cause this?
Check inside your graphics driver control panel (Catalyst for AMD, NVidia Settings for NVidia). They'll often have some setting for either massively underclocking the GPU when on battery, or to actually switch to the integrated GPU. This stuff normally doesn't show up in the regular power settings.

Oh, I'm using the Nvidia settings btw. While we're on the subject, my desktop pc's Nvidia control panel gives me options for things like desktop color and resolution settings, but all it gives me on the laptop is program settings, physx settings, and "adjust image settings with preview" which does jack shit. Is there a different version I need to download? EDIT: OH WAIT I found the power option setting in the global settings tab in Program settings. EDIT AGAIN: Well, changed every setting imaginable to Maximum performance, still runs like shit, and exactly the same. God, this thing pisses me off.

Alright, i've decided on getting this: [t]http://puu.sh/18DWJ[/t] It was separated into two orders yesterday for some reason but now it's one. The shipping is less so i'm not complaining. e: just realized that doesn't show the grand total ($288.51) and puush is acting up.
Am I able to RMA just one stick of RAM if I bought 2 sticks of RAM? Or do I have to send off both sticks?
i'm thinking of getting this RAM for my pc, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145195 my motherboard uses DDR2 and i'm pretty sure the ones i'm thinking of getting will fit. I just wanted to make sure because last time i ended up buying the wrong type of ram and had return it for the correct ones.
They might fit but we can't tell you if they work with just "DDR2". [editline]26th September 2012[/editline] Also 50 bucks for that is really expensive.
What else do you need to know about the ram i use?

Suggestions for a good free video editor? Or is there no such thing?
What's the cheapest motherboard I can get for use with a IvyBridge CPU? Specifically: http://www.ebuyer.com/393559-intel-core-i5-3350p-3-10ghz-skt1155-6mb-cache-boxed-bx80637153350p Or does it have to be one of the newer Z77 motherboards?
Suggestions for a good free video editor? Or is there no such thing?
Lightworks is good and free, but it's a bitch to get to grips with the workflow.
