Really tempted to get a GTX 670.
Currently have a 560ti.
Do you guys think it is worth getting at this point? Or just waiting.

I'm prepping it to be sold.
I've given up on that key, I'm going to use one of the spare xp pro keys I have.

Well that certainly does the trick :v:
And I would agree. But he doesn't want them separate.
A lot of people want things because they are unaware of what the benefits actually are.
The Western Digital Black is scaring me, it's price went down and there's more reviews about how it's DOA.
Is there a good drive around the same price?, probably with the same amount of storage?
I was looking at this today and thought it might do the trick, but 500GB seems small. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136697
Is it normal for my 7870 (precisely this one:http://www.ncix.ca/products/?sku=75180&vpn=FX787ACDBC&manufacture=XFX)
to not have temperature in speccy? Does it have anything to do with the fact that it's clocked higher than a normal 7870?

I have a 7850 that isn't overclocked and i also get no temperature in speccy, not sure what it is.

If the recent reviews are coming in as DOA, then don't bother. Not worth the hassle, imo. You end up paying $10 more and waiting an extra week after the RMA process.
plz help me understand why my memory is saying that i have 2 gigs idling around my bios
[thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/15056069/why%21%21%21.JPG[/thumb]
what can i do to get some if not all of my physical memory back from the bios if it is at all possible???
That... has nothing to do with the BIOS. Seriously where did you even get that.
I'm assuming that you're on a 32bit OS, which can only allocate a max of 4GB of memory. And since 2GB is gone, that most likely means you have a graphics card with 2GB VRAM, which takes away from your system RAM (4-2=2). Get 64bit.
Hey guys, I'm not too sure if this is even the right place to be asking, but I saw a couple of pics in the post your desk thread where people had some volume control/mixer setups and I've been wanting to get one for a while now, but don't exactly know what it's called or what brands to go for.
I've set out some criteria on what I'd want it to do, just based upon how I'd probably want to use it.
Basically I want to be able to have multiple inputs from my PC, record player, radio, iPod dock and probably another from my computer for just winamp on its own channel.
I'd need a volume slider/control for each channel and be able to have multiple channels on at a time.
A left/right balance control for each channel isn't necessary, but if it's available then that'd be a nice bonus.
Other than that, just one output is needed, however some sort of output that can interface with my computer wouldn't go astray.
Does something like this exist? Can somebody please let me know what am I looking for?
Pardon my ignorance, but I've been seeing sources that say the Acer Iconia Tab A210 hasn't be released yet, but reviews do exist on Youtube. So, has the A210 been released in the UK or not?
I'm probably going to buy a third monitor. Right now I have two monitors connected via DVI. How would I go about connecting the third one? Note, that I'm not looking to run Eyefinity or anything like that, I just want more screen space at the desktop. The best solution I can come up with is to buy a cheap low-end GPU, can I do better?
Well does your graphics card have DP or HDMI? Or is it restricted on max outputs? You could also use internal graphics alongside.

You can run three monitors on a single ATI/AMD card, as long as one of them is displayport (see adapters).

I think a few GPUs allow for 6 nowadays

Yes, if they are displayport. You can only have two of vga/dvi/hdmi without an adapter.
Would an i5 3570k/2500k work well for moderate gaming and rendering with blender or should my friend get an i7?
I asked another friend on steam and he said even with his i7 2600k overclocked to 3.8ghz he gets around 80-90% usage when rendering.
My friend is on a semi tight budget.
Saw this on newegg

I'm looking for a laptop while I'm in university for some gaming. I am also thinking about getting a tablet so I wouldn't need to bring the laptop back and forth between classes. Would this be a good investment?
Currently I have a Macbook Pro which I am planning on selling for the above laptop.

I dont have space for a desktop.
Which part should I upgrade to increase game performance the most while remaining somewhat inexpensive?
Specs:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 945
RAM: 8 GB, DDR2.
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2

I'm not sure, but that's pretty dated across the board. Even an i3 would smash that processor. The problem is that means a new motherboard, processor, AND new memory because you have DDR2.
Might be better off upgrading your video card.
Depending on your budget you could look into the trinity apus. Start a thread in pc building and provide some more details on what you can and cannot do.
So I could throw this on my laptop and run two external monitors, right?

Probably?
I don't know about your visual quality. Something tells me that a USB VGA video card is going to have some issues running at high resolutions. VGA is spastic as it is.

It'll be a general purpose monitor. Web browsing, writing papers, coding, etc. 1440x900, so it should be alright.
Yeah, don't bet on gaming, and don't expect really high resolutions - 1440x900 is pushing it, you *may* have to downscale a bit on that one, but USB video adapters work fine for office-type stuff. Back in high school they used them for the projectors, since the sole VGA out most of the teacher desktops had was used by their own monitor.

Does anyone think its worth the wait to upgrade to the 8 series if I have a 5870?
I'm running 6080x1080. 3x24".
Alright... Whats the best processor I can get with this motherboard?
