Optical can only transfer 5.1 over a compressed format. I.E. DTS, Dolby, WMVPro, etc. Make sure those formats are both supported and turned on. [editline]17th October 2012[/editline] The grain is known as AG(Anti-Glare) or Anti-Reflective coating. It's most seen on higher end screens. For some reason.
ah that must be it, damn :v: at least i know nothing's wrong with my stuff [editline]17th October 2012[/editline] some guides on the internet for DIY AG removal... duno if I want to fuck with it though
Removing AG is very very very risky, and those guides tend to consider it a success with only being like a day. Most of those processes go bad after a month. I'd advise against it.
quick question I recorded some gameplay via dxtory and I have it so it records the game and my mic. I forgot to disable that. How do I disable the second audio source in Vegas 11?
I believe they're saved to the same track, and if that's true you can't
I believe they're saved to the same track, and if that's true you can't
There's a message saying this though: If I can't it isn't a big deal. The game it was in has a theater mode so I can always go back.
2 channels means stereo iirc
I'll just go back and record it again.
I'm really worried. I know i should take Newegg reviews with a grain of salt, but it's really unnerving to know that so many motherboards come with bent pins and Newegg refuses to RMA them. Does anyone have any suggestions for good $0-120 motherboards?

Not sure if this is the place to ask, but the Fat Ps3s, how prone are they to failing? I've had two xboxes in the past, and they both RROD'ed on me, which is one of the reasons I primarly use pc now. Just there are alot of games coming out on PS3 I'd like to play, and I can afford a fat one, I just don't want it breaking down on me.
My 60GB is still going strong as ever since day 1.
quick gestion what should i do when my DVD /Disk reader tray doesnt eject anymore but shows the green lights just fine?
Probably get a new one. I had the same problem, so I kept using a paper clip in the little hole to manually eject it, but it turns out it also had burning errors.
My 60GB is still going strong as ever since day 1.
This completely. [editline]18th October 2012[/editline] And by day 1, I mean since it literally came out.

They built them to last, that's for sure.

For some reason, my NVIDIA control panel only gives me the "3d settings" panel, which only lets me do basic things, whereas on my desktop it gives me desktop color settings and a ton of other stuff. Is that just because I'm on a laptop?

What's a decent laptop with a big screen, a bigger battery and enough power to run Windows 7 and do web browsing, Office, maybe youtube videos? It's for my mother.
Being technically illiterate here, but i was curious if my power supply could support this card. The card i'm planning to get is the XFX 7870 Black and it needs a 2x6 pin connector. The power supply i'm getting comes with a 6 pin connector and a 6+2 pin connector. Do i need any external cables or am i good?

I am thinking about getting an upgrade video card wise, I have a Radeon HD 6950 now and I am not sure if I should replace it with a 7xxx series card or buy a second 6950 card. Which do you guys think would be better? Hope this is the right area for this type of question, not sure if it is or not.
For some reason everything on the Steam Community is in Turkish, but only when I'm using Google Chrome. Anyone know what might cause this to happen and how I can fix it?
