the 6670 is probably the best bet, make sure you do the GDDR5 model
Hey guys,
I'm saving $$ up to buy an external hard-drive once the Black Friday deals roll around. What is the best 1TB model out right now?
Can I get some help guys?
I turned off the computer when I went to bed, and the following afternoon the computer wouldn't even POST, consistently anyway. Meaning, the MoBo splash screen doesn't even pop it. It's just black.
Weird thing is that I've tried switching out the RAM sticks to see if that had any effect. I try one stick. Lo and behold it works. Once. After I restart it doesn't even POST again. After much fiddling and switching of RAM sticks, it'll work again, and the next moment it won't. So the computer is pretty much deciding when it'll work and I have no idea why or how. What the hell :C

I've also tried removing the CMOS battery. And the monitor power button lights up when the computer turns on, so it's detecting a signal at least.
Nevermind. Fixed it by flashing BIOS to the latest version. It somehow also fixed my W8 graphical problem I had.
Is this surge protector any good for the price? http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11628447 I kinda impulsed bought it cause it had ethernet ports on it.
You can buy surge protectors for waaaaaay cheaper off Amazon/Monoprice.
This isn't quite a question about computer hardware, but does anyone know of anything that you can plug into your TV to stream netflix on it? I know there are some ways to do it, I just don't know how.

I see... Like I said, I impulse bought. Oh well, at least it serves its purpose.

Like an xbox? Or hooking your PC up to your TV? There's a lot more... those two are how I do it, though.

Boxee box, XBMC
What type of controller should I get for my PC? Should I just go and buy a Xbox 360 controller or what?
I might need a controller because I may get Jet Set Radio and apparently it plays a lot better with a controller.
Wired Xbox 360 controllers are fine and they're also pretty cheap now if you buy them online
Hmm, alright. I saw one for $13 at EB Games so I might buy that one.
Say hi to your sister for me :v:
The xbox 360 pad is like the definitive controller for the PC gamer since most games are made/ported around that anyway

Holy christ Boxee looks like exactly what I wanted. Thank you so very, very much!

Does it have to be an official xbox controller or do third party ones work too?
Does it have to be an official xbox controller or do third party ones work too?
Third party controllers work, but why would you not get an official one. They're like the best controllers imho.
How do I fix a bad sector on a HDD?? My caviar blue apparently was in a nasty power surge about a month or 2 ago and now some sectors are bad, I've still got a warranty but I need it fixed today...
Well third party ones seem a bit cheaper. Just wondering. I'll probably get an official one though.
Unofficial/lookalikes and refurbished ones always have some problem with deadzones and stuff. Save up for an original wired one or see if you can find the wireless kit for cheap.
Hello.
I'm looking for a piece or collection of software to be used to simulate lighting for a theatre.
There's no limit on a budget.
Thanks in advance.
Why didn't crt displays reach the brightness levels seen in other technologies?, limits on the phosphors?, radiation?.

chkdsk /F
???
chkdsk /F

I did chkdsk and my HDD finally died... Turns out its a really fucked sector, WD is sending me a new one since its still under warranty but now I have to rely on my seagate... ( which is my backup drive anyway )
I'm surprised you're not worried about the data in it. Was it part of one of those mirror RAID things or did you backup often or something?

Nah I just had games on it, I don't keep important shit on my computer for long. I did have a few photos on the seagate and I had to use my neighbors computer to stick em on a flash drive but they were photos off the internet anyway.
