I'll never understand how people save porn besides maybe ten pictures or something like that most of it gets very dull for me after a watch or two
I delete it once it gets dull but I've got a few favorites that never get old, plus I've got another 4 - 5 gigs of stuff [sp] hentai [/sp] and I've only gone through about 200 megabytes of it.
I wish I had a neighbour who would keep backup of my prawn pictures :(
Well the thing is, she isn't home and my sister is watching her house while shes away. So she had absolutely no clue.
What ISP are you on and what have you done so far to scan your closed ports?
LCC, a local Russian ISP. Pretty nice, I guess, but kinda expensive. I tried the "PFPortChecker" thing, hosting game servers, remotely connecting to my PC with VNC or RDP. Shit just doesn't work.

I thought my ISP was blocking ports, too... but it turns out I just needed to forward the ports in the modem/router.
Error: I could not see your service on 46.174.92.1 on port (55555) Reason: Connection refused Nope. I forwarded that port, and I still can't access it. I'm pretty sure I only have one router :v: [editline]26th October 2012[/editline]
Name Interface Protocol Public port Private port Private IP RDP WAN TCP 55555 3389 192.168.0.38
That's what I have in my router's settings.
-snerp- I just... wow. Sorry.

It wouldn't hurt to phone your ISP. Some do have global port blocking services, you might be able to remove yours.
I have an i5 2500k and an MSI GD55 motherboard (Bought before the Sandy Bridge SATA issue was fixed, didn't send it in for replacement because I didn't want to go without a computer for a week in order to have a few extra SATA ports I won't use) and I'm thinking of buying a new motherboard. This is because the UEFI on the motherboard is atrocious and often takes over a minute to start booting Windows (Which takes about 20 seconds). Sometimes Windows boot will fail because of it (Takes forever on the Windows 7 animation), and it's just becoming a major annoyance. I have a few options at this point. 1. Get a whole new motherboard. Rate agree for this 2. Try and get an RMA on the motherboard through MSI (It's over a year old, getting close to 2), lose access to my computer for over a week. Rate disagree for this 3. Deal with it and try to find a fix. Rate funny for this 4. "I don't know the answer but I want to participate in the decision process". Rate dumb for this. [editline]25th October 2012[/editline] Considering that there are 3 votes for a new motherboard and nothing else, what would you guys suggest with around a $200 budget? Needs to have room for 2 6870s Crossfired together, and a 2500k. Overclockability would be nice. I'd prefer to buy a non-MSI board, just because they can't code a UEFI for shit, but if that isn't a problem anymore, I'd go for them without much hesitation.
Deal with it I say.

This way you can at least sell the new replacement for some money.
Is 63c too high for an intel stock cooler on a 3570k? The highest it went to was 73c but that was for a split second but whenever I'm playing games it hovers around 63, and my idle temps are around 45. I've got some dynex silver thermal paste, should I apply that instead and see if I get better temps?
Why don't you RMA the motherboard regardless of getting a new one or not? This way you can at least sell the new replacement for some money.
This is a good idea. I'll buy a new motherboard then, and then do my best to rma and sell the old one. If I can't, I'll sell it on eBay for cheap, considering it still works decently when not booting.
How do you automatically clean up orphaned files from my iTunes media folder? They take up quite a lot of space.
That sounded really horrible in my head anyway, does the Win7 wallpaper presentation thing really use up that much battery that windows has it disabled by default for laptops? I like going to my desktop to find a new wallpaper every time, but I also like being able to use my lappy for four-five hours.
Hey guys, So my graphics card decides to not work when I play games. The fans still spins and it still receives power, but for some reason the image just doesn't show up. I have the newest drivers installed. Any ideas?
Can you hear sounds when you start the game up? It could be a problem with the games resolution if the monitor turns off and the light starts blinking or something like that. What card do you have, and how old is it? Does it do anything (restart, go back to desktop) when you leave it for a while? Can you alt-tab or ctrl-alt-del out of the game and back to your desktop? Have you tried setting the game to run in a window and running it that way (since it goes black you'll have to find one that can be forced into windowed mode using config files or, if it's a valve game, adding " -sw" to the end of the launch options.)
It's a Gigabyte GTX 460 1GB. I can't see anything or do anything, so all signal is lost. What is interesting is that before I updated the drivers, it would overheat and turn off. But now, it stays a constant temperature and just loses signal.
What temperature is it sitting at?

[editline]26th October 2012[/editline] only a 60% confidence rating though
Anyone know a good site where they sell cheap Thinkpad tablets or laptops? Tight budget...
Is it worth the $40 to upgrade from vista to windows 8?

Sorry for posting here, but I remade my decision about a thread I posted... Any ideas on what to do with it? So I have a new laptop, much better than my desktop, my desktop specs are... AMD athlon x2 5000+ 7600GS 512MB 2GB RAM Win xp 32 bit, linux 32 bit (dual booting)
How often should I defrag a hard drive?
Does EVGA and Nvidias "Target Framerate" also reduce power usage on 5xx series? I'm asking because i'm getting 580 SLI at a low price and i really don't want them to run at 450 Watt constantly when i play.
How often should I defrag a hard drive?
Depends on how, and how much, you use it. Main OS drive? Monthly, maybe weekly if you make and delete a ton of files. Secondary drive (storing games and documents)? Every other month, or every time you make major changes to what's on it. An archive drive? Never would probably be fine. It might make more sense to phrase the question as "how fragmented should a disk get before defragmenting?". In that case, the general rule is to defrag if it gets over 20% fragmentation.
How often should I defrag a hard drive?
Whenever you add files. A defragmented file really doesn't get re-fragmented. so once it's done once, that file stays whole.

Only Windows 8 and non gaming programs are on there. I keep all of my documents, music, games, etc on my 1.5TB drive, which I've never defragged before. Does it take long?

Win8 should be defragging it in the background, don't worry about that. I don't have to worry about fragmentation c:
