Uhm there are no cheap 120Hz flats, they have twice as many pictures per second, that's the advantage and why it costs more.
Speaking of monitors, I need a monitor for under £140 ish. I've been considering getting this, but if I can do better at that price range then I'd appreciate if anyone could show me some alternatives.
Which is the best 3dvision 2 screen with best bang for the buck?
Hi all, I had an issue a couple of days ago with my Laptop. It's only 3 months old, and hasn't acted up before. I was doing some College work, when the side fan got really loud, and the PC slowed to a crawl, with the mouse lagging all over the screen, and I couldn't even CTRL ALT DEL. All the while, the fan would slow back down, and then speed up again. I shut it down normally, and it went off, I then unplugged the battery and such, and left it to rest somewhere. It's working fine now, but I was also told the fan might be dirty, so I picked up some Dust Remover(C3 Dust Remover to be exact). I don't feel confident taking the Laptop apart, as if something goes wrong, I lose my College Laptop. So, how would someone go about cleaning it without opening it up, with a can of Dust Remover?
Uhm there are no cheap 120Hz flats, they have twice as many pictures per second, that's the advantage and why it costs more.
I never said it had to be cheap, did I? And could you please answer my second question?
Could I please get some recommendations for a full tower case? I don't really know which brands to avoid. Willing to spend around $200.
I never said it had to be cheap, did I? And could you please answer my second question?
You said "not expensive as shit". They all cost more than conventional screens. And the second part of the question is subjective, you got a higher framerate.
Would it be recommended to get 1 120GB SSD or 2 60GB SSDs and put the in a RAID configuration? Also. is Mushkin a good SSD brand?
I've never heard of Mushkin, and it would be faster to have 2 60 gigs in raid. However the bigger the SSD the faster they get, the difference between 60 and 120 GB is probably marginal tho.
Could anyone recommend a good screen with 1080p and 120HZ between 22" and 24" (or atleast around that) that's also not expensive as shit? How good is it to have 120HZ? I've only had 60HZ monitors and I'm wondering if it's worth the extra money
You were constantly asking about that other monitor, why not just buy it?

If the videocard can handle it.
I cant seem to make room for the 20gigs windows8 needs, ive got a 60gig SSD and only windows 7 on it, its still only 14.3 gigs free and ive deleted everything but windows essentials ( I have itunes and little things on it) i got to 18gigs earlier but then when I restarted it said I only had 3 gigs, are those being saved somewhere? cant even give screens shots ebcause paint, silverlight ect are uninstalled, like there should be more then enough room but its not budging btw i also have a 2tb harddrive, could I make that the primary, install win on that, uninstall win7, then install win 8 to the SSD and remove win 8 for the 2tb I already have a install disc made but i think its just a upgrade disc not a proper one
if you have itunes your program files folder is probably gigantic. [editline]29th October 2012[/editline] i mean program data
I'm looking for a standing microphone, i expect it too be somewhat "far" away from my mouth. However I can't afford something like a blue yeti or snowball, i wan't some good quality for skype calls and such, i've been using the mic in my webcam but it's all fuzzy now. Broken down to bits: a standing mic i can have a bit away from my on the table which still catches my voice and blocks of surrounding sounds like keyboard and mouse. Any recommendations?
A mic that pics up only things far away. besides the fact that this barely exists, a shotgun mic is probably not available for a low price or as computer skype mic.
Well not far away. maybe a feet or 2 away, keep in mind it's next to my omputer and im sitting next to my table
Isn't that OEM only?, i thought upgrade was only used for upgrading os and if you tried to install it on a new machine it wouldn't work.
I just dug up the copy of Windows 7 that I bought, and it's the Home Premium upgrade family pack, and it looks like this [t]http://www.newtechnology.co.in/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/Windows-7-Family-Pack.jpg[/t] It says in the top left "Upgrade designed for Windows Vista" but I did a clean install with it, so I'm pretty sure they're the same thing. If your family is military, I picked up the 3-pack on base for $80.

Ok, so here's the deal. I built my PC 2 and a half years ago now, and the processor was a budget processor all that time ago so I'm looking for a couple of AM3+ CPU's to replace it. I've been looking at better models, and even the 8-core AM3+ processors but the 8 core one looks a bit naff. I'm fairly sure my CPU is bottlenecking everything else, but I could be wrong. Here's my specs: Thanks in advance!
Ok so, I have installed Windows 7 on three different machines. Two desktops, one laptop. The first two worked great, but the third is having issues with validity, presumably because of the other two installations. I need to decide whether to get another copy of Windows 7, or get Windows 8. The computer with the third install has been locking up as a result of the issues with validating the key. I'm not sure if I should get Windows 8 and put it on this computer (meant for gaming) and just use 7 for the other computer (meant for general internet browsing), or just stick to 7. Help would be appreciated.
does EVGA Precision X work with amd/ati radeon cards?
I've never heard of Mushkin, and it would be faster to have 2 60 gigs in raid. However the bigger the SSD the faster they get, the difference between 60 and 120 GB is probably marginal tho.
What? Mushkin have been around since 1994, which I'm guessing is about as old as a lot of you here. They're known for making nice RAM. [editline]30th October 2012[/editline] Also RAID won't increase your IOPS (which is what really matters), only sequential speeds, so a single drive is probably going to be faster (and a better deal) and won't cause any issues with TRIM and only takes up one port and if you want to say, move the SSD to another machine, you can't break the RAID and keep the files on them, you'll have to reformat them both. RAID in personal computers is usually not worth it in my experience.
Is your motherboard AM3+ or just AM3?
It's an AM3+ board, I looked to the future when I bought it.
I can't see my harddrive while it's plugged in! I tried to format it and the power went in the middle of it, when I try to format it again (Via cmd, I can't see it in the GUI anymore) it gets stuck at 0%!
