Oh yes, finally! Thanks.
You're welcome
My Windows Explorer keeps crashing/restarting, I don't know of anything that I've recently installed that would be causing it.
How do you do it? My brother have done this- And his phone is an earlier phone than the S2, so I'm going by the fact that the OS usually supports the same good things in later versions. Hm, have you rooted yours?
Na, it's all default, non-rooted. I plug the USB into my S2 and then into the PC. Enable the WiFi on the phone if it's not enabled yet. Then I go to settings > wireless and network > more > tethering and portable hotspot > check USB tethering and bang, I wait a couple seconds and it works.
Why do you run an Intel cpu? I'm curious because every Intel CPU I've ever used, new or old, has always had major problems with over heating and just being slow as fuck with my Nvidia graphics cards while AMD has never given me any problems and has worked well in any machine I've built for years. Fun fact, the machine I currently have is using a first production 2005 AMD athlon 64 x2 3800+ dual core. Still playing all modern games without any lag or anything.
I thought trolling was against the rules?
Alright I got my first external HD yesterday and I have one small query Do I actually need any of this stuff? There are installers and .exe's in there so I just want to make sure in case I delete something important
You may want to keep the user manuals for reference but go ahead and get rid of everything else
I just cleanly format any drive that I purchase.
Is it generally safe to assume that an external hard drive consists of a regular hard drive and some form of adapter and enclosure? Like, if I take this thing apart, I'm not gonna expose any crucial parts or anything am I?
You may want to keep the user manuals for reference but go ahead and get rid of everything else
You can download everything on there from the manufacturer website, and a manual for a SATA drive+adapter is pretty useless.

Then they throw it in a plastic box.
Yeah that's all they are. An HDD with a board that converts SATA power and data to 12V and USB. Then they throw it in a plastic box.
Most of them, at least. There are a few hiding out there that use custom hard drives with non-standard interfaces, but they're relatively rare in my experience.
Is this a good monitor? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236100 My old dell LCD is dying and I'm thinking of getting that one at my local fry's for $5 less than newegg.
Can anyone suggest a good $1000 build?
USB tethering doesn't for some reason over 3g, and WiFi doesn't work with that. I want to access my home network but use the phone as my antenna
USB tethering should work in conjunction with WiFi unless your carrier has fucked around with the firmware. I did it before on my i9000 and i9100 when I lost my USB wireless dongle and was waiting for my new one to arrive.
Any netbooks with an AMD C-50 and it doesn't have a glossy screen and no chiclet keys? Preferably new and in stock
Can anyone suggest a good $1000 build?
Flexible to go slightly above 1k? Do you need an OS?
help my computer is squealing at me you may need to turn up your speakers, but it's much much louder in person it only happens in some games, and before you say it's the hard driver there is no mechanical drive in there at the moment
Put your finger on a few fans, otherwise coil whine is my guess.
Hey guys, for some reason my Nvidia GTX 675M isn't showing up in DXDiag: I've installed the Nvidia drivers so I'm not sure why it isn't showing up as my VGA.
Hey guys, for some reason my Nvidia GTX 675M isn't showing up in DXDiag: I've installed the Nvidia drivers so I'm not sure why it isn't showing up as my VGA.
It's probably some form of hybrid graphics where it uses the HD4000 in low demanding scenarios to save power. Does the 675m show up in something like GPU-Z?
he 675M shows up in the Nvidia settings program, so I know it's there, it's just not activated. I guess I'll play a game and see if it changes, but I don't think it will. Also, I have no idea how to access the motherboard to switch it to the 675M, and I'm sure Sager wouldn't have forgotten to do it.
fyi dxdiag sucks and is quite old and is easily confused, I'm sure the 675 is in use
fyi dxdiag sucks and is quite old and is easily confused, I'm sure the 675 is in use
Ah right, any spec programs you recommend that'll show me all my stuff as well as Idle temps and all that good stuff?
I use HW Monitor for temps, Speccy for general info, GPU-z or CPU-z for more advanced info on the cpu / gpu
Thanks. Also, Shadaez, you were right. It appears the 675M and Intel VGA work together depending on the workload. So if I start up a game, the 675M will be the one mainly working. Pretty cool! [editline]9th November 2012[/editline] Sager laptops are the shit, my laptop is performing so well. Thoroughly pleased. So a note to anyone contemplating buying a gaming laptop: GET A SAGER NOTEBOOK.

Enabling vsync can remove it.
It's enable and it still happens in some of the games.
