Anyone got recommendations for quality 2560x1440 screens? Especially in terms of color neutrality, color temperature etc

Can anyone recommend me a laptop that's decent enough to play Garry's mod on decent settings, for around £500-650.
Everyone on this forum says FX CPU's are not worth the trouble. Whats wrong with them? I've got one and it runs fine.

They use a lot more power than they should, and they generally cost more than a similarly-performing Intel chip (mainly when they first came out - the newer ones are priced better). Oh, and in some ways they perform worse than AMD's previous processors - mainly single-threaded performance, but also branch performance and some types of floating-point math (here's an article that has some good detailed analysis, although it's a bit out of date).
Also, some people compare Intel's highest-end with AMD's highest end. Which is completely unfair, since AMD no longer even tries to compete with Intel's ultra-high-end stuff (the FX-8350 generally benchmarks between the i5 3570K and i7 3770K, far below the i7 Extreme parts). It's not a fair comparison (the i7 Extreme parts cost far, far more than any FX), but it's contributed to the perception.
Why don't more tablets use the x86 or x64 architecture?
Are there any programs which can tell you how many watts your PSU is using?
Why the hell do you have 5GB of ram.
power of two is for squares
BFG GTX 280..
rip BFG, I still have one of their 550 watt power supplies in my backup rig.

1. Because they consume a lot of power and emits lots of heat compared to ARM CPUs
2 Get a Kill-a-Watt
Or just buy a little plug for $10 and it measures the watts going to your PC.

Power. Most ARM chips are designed for very low-power environments - the Tegra 3 usually draws less than a watt. Most x86 chips are designed for much higher power - an i7 can draw over a watt just idling. Intel has a few chips that are pushing down there, but they're not quite there yet - even their "ultra-mobile" Atoms draw 1-3W. They're trying, though - their next-gen stuff is really pushing low idle power.

Well that explains why tablets can get 10 hours out of the battery and laptops on get 3.
Well I hope they can get one working soon, I'd like a tablet that can run most PC programs.
What's the easiest way to overclock an Intel i5 2500K with the p8p67-m motherboard? Only finding long as hell forum posts and a short summary would be great.

Or just step-by step guide.
Do the long forum posts.

10 increase multiplier
20 check if stable
30 if not stable, and temps are within operating temperatures, increase voltage
40 goto 10

thats the basics, but really just read the guide
Would a Seasonic 520w be enough for a Vapor-X 7950 with Boost?
Would a Seasonic 520w be enough for a Vapor-X 7950 with Boost?
I don't know what boost is, but I assume it's an overclocked 7950.
If so, yes.

Go into the bios and change the multiplier from 3X to 42 or 45.
[editline]11th November 2012[/editline]
the box that is set to 46 in this image:

I'm upgrading to a Radeon 7770 from a Radeon 4870 because the drivers went into legacy. Will my CPU bottleneck with the 7770? (I have a Q9550 at stock temps right now.)

Alright, thanks I will try 42 soon.
Hmpf. Am I supposed to change the BCLK/PEG Freq to 102, or keep it at 100?

Don't change it at all.
Yeah- that didn't work. The computer shut itself down all the time because the CPU was overheated.
My cooling sucks, I'll just stick to defaults.
Don't change it at all.
yea BCLK can help but it barely changes more than 3-4% before you crash instantly.

Standard cooler that came with the CPU?
Yeah
Can I expect greater deals on cyber monday on hard drives and RAM or can I just buy on black friday?
Yeah
Get a different one anything would be better.
Any suggestions? I don't really have the money to buy anything.

If money's an issue, just go with this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099
So, with the coming of winter, and where I live, winter means power outages and general power screweyness. I really want to make sure nothing happens to my rig, but i'm not sure what to buy to do this.
