How much wattage are on all the 12v rails combined? And how many rails is there? 475W could be plenty if it's all not on the 5v rail, being useless. I believe the case will hold the cards fine, the 7770 is decent, I believe it will easily run most things at 1080p on high or the highest settings, and med - low on demanding games like PS2, BF3, the crysis'. The CX500 is a good 500w PSU, usually is the cheapest one that's from a reputable brand.
I'll be home tommorow to do the measurements and find out what all that means haha. does blackfriday affect new egg like cyber Monday?

MSI has actually risen to fame because of the Twin Frozr's wide functionality. That's a fucking steal.
[editline]22nd November 2012[/editline]
Even though this particular 7770 doesn't have the Twin Frozr cooler, it's still a steal nonetheless.

squuuueeee
shadaz Im positive those big ass cards wont fit and or will kill my psu, probably going to go with this but I'll still check measurements Tom row.
funny thing I think I got that old apg graphics card off u a while back, apparently it was the wrong type or something and it fried the motherboard lol.
[QUOTE=JerryK;38559755]how taxiing is it to run 2 monitors?[/QUOTE]
Just for desktop/web stuff? Hardly. Even an integrated can run 3 1920x1080 screens just fine for non-gaming stuff.
For gaming, though? Spanned across both screens? Halve your framerate. More, if it causes you to run out of VRAM. But something tells me trying to span a game across two screens will have bigger problems than performance.

is msi bad or something 99 bucks for a mainstream card sounds great[/QUOTE]Yeah, I was looking to get that. Much cheaper than the GTX 650s and from a good manufacturer from the looks of it.
[QUOTE=DesolateGrun;38560014]is the heat on this card a problem[/QUOTE]
If you're interested, I saw you mentioned a 6850, I might be willing to sell mine off if I spot a good Cyber Monday / Black Friday deal on a 7870.

Barely, according to Anandtech: [url]http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/536[/url]

so if i wanted to do it for gaming i'd probably need duel video cards or a really powerful one?
[QUOTE=Terin7;38560023]Yeah, I was looking to get that. Much cheaper than the GTX 650s and from a good manufacturer from the looks of it.[/QUOTE]

You can play one game on two monitors.
lol my psu is actually 375, I did some newegg calculator if I want the 7770 and it says I should at least have 390, should I just get a 400 watt or 40 to give some leeway?
[QUOTE=DesolateGrun;38562469]lol my psu is actually 375, I did some newegg calculator if I want the 7770 and it says I should at least have 390, should I just get a 400 watt or 40 to give some leeway?[/QUOTE]
How many amps does the 12v rail(s) output, combined? Should say
+12v
20A
or something like that.
Here's what the sticker says, [IMG]http://i47.tinypic.com/doqqsj.png[/IMG]
So should I buy from newegg or tiger direct, the PSU i need has to have 5 sata connectors apparently so alot of good and cheap selections are out the window
[editline]23rd November 2012[/editline]
its the same price on both newegg and tiger direct
[editline]23rd November 2012[/editline]
[URL]http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5344843&Sku=T925-3014[/URL]
wow is this a deal or what for a psu, its over what I need by alot but cheaper than a 450 on newegg
[editline]23rd November 2012[/editline]
19$
[editline]23rd November 2012[/editline]
and If I have 600 watts I might as well get a better card
[editline]23rd November 2012[/editline]
I know I'm probably boring you guys but so this is the choices for now
[IMG]http://i45.tinypic.com/2q0n8e8.png[/IMG]
I don't want to spend too much, I'm only going to be around for another year and a half after this one, so $145 for the combo sits well with my original price range. Should I go for it? Tiger direct or Newegg, tiger has both, newegg only has the card.

Found a 560 watt psu on newegg aswell, the totals are near the same so now what I want is faster shipping which is faster
[editline]23rd November 2012[/editline]
I sort of want this on my birthday by the 28th, since the newegg is faster should I go with it or not?
[QUOTE=Shadaez;38558326]Make sure nothing's in the front panel headphone slot, it will override the back for some audio cards.
[editline]22nd November 2012[/editline]
also make sure it's set as the default[/QUOTE]
Havn't even set up the front panel slot for use yet, so no worries there. Either way I've gone and bought a 30$ sound card, so unless I can find a cheap way to fix this before that ships I should be good.
what does rush processing on newegg actually do? Is it same day processing?
[editline]23rd November 2012[/editline]
Shadaez I need your final approval!
I know I asked this before, but what decent case can I get for $50 - $75? I noticed the HAF 912.

Your order is prioritized in their warehouse.

It looks great, but I want more options. A lot of the other cases look pretty ugly.

7770 and that psu is a good deal right
my big hard drive had a faster speed and extra storage. I made a 120 GB partition and installed Windows on it. I then removed my IDE HDD and DVD drive since they took up space and I didn't need them. Windows won't boot now. How can I get it to boot without my IDE hard drive?
[editline]23rd November 2012[/editline]
plugged it back in and its not being detected. help?
Windows, for whatever brilliant reason, will install its bootloader on the first NTFS drive connected to the motherboard, rather than the partition you're actually installing Windows to. If it installs to a drive other than the one you actually put windows on and you take the drive out, you take the bootloader out from underneath Windows. It should work if you plug your devices back in the exact configuration they were in when you installed Windows, but if not, you might be able to boot from the install CD and have it recover the install.
I don't remember how they were plugged in and the hard drive isn't detecting in my bios. I'll try that last part.
[editline]23rd November 2012[/editline]
Windows did it's magic and it works. Thank you!
