Short answer: No.
You'd have to add more RAM.
You'd have to add a GPU, and to upgrade the PSU to get anything half decent.
Build it yourself, so much cheaper.
Posted this in Pc-building but no reply in over an hour. Might have some more success here.
I'm currently using a laptop for everything. But I want to get rid of all games and that kind of stuff and use it just for work.
I know how to put a pc together but I haven't been following the tech for a few years so I have no idea what the current prices/specs are. I want a pc build mostly for entertainment (gaming, movies, etc). I'm not someone who wants to run Skyrim with HD mods on 300fps so I don't need any high end stuff. I would just want a pc that is capable of running everything on medium graphics and the very intensive stuff on low graphics. I don't care much about startup/loading time so I don't need an ssd. I already have a keyboard and mouse but no monitor. I also have a legit copy of windows 7 and 8 left.
What is the best option for me? Should I build my own pc or should I buy a premade one?
What processor, graphics, ram, motherboard, etc. should I look into? Also I'm in Europe if prices differ much.

some more things
-don't need cd/dvd/blue-ray (I have external one)
-no card reader
-no fancy Christmas lighting case thing.
-A decent amount of usb ports.

Would this be a decent (semi) prebuild?

HDD: 500gb 7200rpm
CPU: AMD® FX-4100 (4x 3,6 GHz)
RAM: N/A
GPU: ATI Radeon HD3000 (onBoard)
MB : Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P
PS : 420 W
I guess I would need to add a GPU and RAM.
What GPU would be ok with it and how much RAM should I get?
Build yourself and get a Intel Processor... As well as a GPU
If I add 8gig ram and a HD7770. It would be 570 euro.
So I would need to add a PSU which would be another 50 euro.
So 620 euro and I would have a decent pc right? Could it be much cheaper if I would get everything separate?

You'd get a better build as well as it being cheaper.

Could you give me a suggestion? Somewhere in the 600 euro range.
Does anyone know or recommend any workstation GPU's? Mainly for CAD programs and alike.

Nvidia have that whole Quadro range
Ok so looked around and how is this:
CPU: AMD FX-6200 (6x 3,8Ghz)
MB: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3
GPU: AMD Radeon HD7770
HDD: Samsung HD103SJ 1TB 3.5" SATA-II 7200rpm
PSU: Thermaltake Berlin 630W
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8 GB (2x 4 GB) DDR3-RAM 1600 MHz 9-9-9-24 240pin DIMM
CASE: Silverstone SST-RL01B
Would total 530 euros.
Good? yes/no?

I though bulldozer CPU's were bad.
The old i7 (2600k) is like 25% more powerfull.

I have no idea, thats why I'm asking. When looking at reviews at newegg for example everyone says its good.
that i7 is twice as expensive tho...
[editline]28th November 2012[/editline]
mistake, was 530 euro total not 630.

Even a cheap i5 is better than the AMD CPU's...
Then how come I only read good reviews D:
Then how come I only read good reviews D:
Because you're reading bad review sites.
So would a lets say Intel i5-2380P be worth 50 euros more
Or an i5-3350P 30 more.
Why would you get the P version?
There is an other version?
[editline]28th November 2012[/editline]
Don't make this hard on me ^^ give me the best cpu you know in the 100-200 euro price range.
Found an i5-2500 for 180euro.
better choice then the FX-6200 for 125euro?

if its the K version you could overclock it, I'm not sure if the performance benefit is noticable though.
I won't overclock anything simply because I don't know how to.
I'm writing a paper on the benefits of building a computer over buying one. Are there any good websites with articles and such about this?
My brother has an Asus P5Q SE2. He's trying to install Windows 8 on it, but after the installation reboots, and after a successful POST, the monitor just turns off.
Nope. It's all or nothing. You'll have to reinstall if you just want the OS.
so if i want to transfer windows 8 from my HDD to my SSD i'll have to reinstall?
I've been trying to transfer an iso file to a disc but I keep getting an error code 0xc0aa301. It keeps telling me The write failed because the drive returned error information that could not be recovered from.
I've tried multiple different disc burning software and none seems to work. My computer is up to date also
so if i want to transfer windows 8 from my HDD to my SSD i'll have to reinstall?
better yet, how would i even go about reinstalling windows 8? i have a digital version and i don't think i can use the same key twice
Are my Hyper 212 with my 3570k good? I average around 35c - 36c on idle and around 60 at full load, my highest core is 40 on idle and 64 on full load.

Which one do I get?!? They're both so much alike, the first one has slightly better reviews but the second one has better specs
Depends.
Do you want a 17 inch laptop or a 15 inch laptop?
If that's what it boils down to, then the 17 inch laptop. But what the fuck am I going to do with 16 gb of ram? :v:
Everything imaginable.

Play 200 YouTube videos at once.
I'm not sure if I should buy windows 7 64 bit or windows 8 64 bit. Newegg gave me a 20% off coupon for any windows 8 software so i'm thinking I might buy windows 8.
