Temps and shit
Try reapplying thermal paste, you should be getting better temps
Try reapplying thermal paste, you should be getting better temps
Are they really that bad? Im getting low on paste and the 212+ has those gaps in the heatpipes sonits kinda hard to get thebpaste to spread.
So I went poking around in my laptop a few days back and stumbled across this. [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/IMG_20121129_144131.jpg[/t] And I can't for the life of me figure out what this is supposed to be or what it can hold since it's empty underneath. The actual connector is not in plain sight as it runs just under the rest of the body. Anybody got any idea what it could be?

I found a service manual that says it houses a 3g module on other models. Which is weird because I don't even have a slot for a SIM card in mine. What sort of connectors do those things usually have?
CPU: Intel Core i5 3470 €180 MOBO: Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3V €60 GPU: AMD Radeon HD7770 €100 RAM: 2x 4GB DDR3 1600MHz €40 CASE: SST-RL01B case €55 HDD: 500GB HDD € 55 PSU: Thermaltake Berlin 630 W €50 €540 Better then what I first had?
Workstation PC, think I have everything right, thoughts? [t]http://i.imgur.com/cP4Hq.png[/t]
Workstation PC, think I have everything right, thoughts? [t]http://i.imgur.com/cP4Hq.png[/t]
Probaly a different PSU, Corsair or alike. The case is obiviously your choice, but IMO I would pick something more simplistic instead of making a workstation look like it'll eat ya'.
I'd say it's more likely for a Bluetooth module.
Have a bluetooth module in my laptop already so that one's out too.

I have virtually no knowledge of AMD gpus, so something like a 560 should be around the same price as that 7770 with like 30% better performance.

So not quite the same price. I might look into a better gpu when I decided on a monitor/keyboard/mouse/headset and add in those prices.

Anyways, I assume OpenVPN is my only option so could anyone help me out with setting it up? As mentioned earlier, I have failed numerous times.
my motherboard just arrived, I don't have an anti static wristband or whatever though but do I need one?
my motherboard just arrived, I don't have an anti static wristband or whatever though but do I need one?
I'd imaging constantly holding the metal case with one hand would dissipate any static.

Is there some kind of application that fools games into thinking my Logitech gamepad is actually a Microsoft gamepad? I have a lot of games that have support for gamepads, but only Xbox ones. Logitech comes with a thing to bind mouse controls to the buttons, but I really don't want to do that for every game that has gamepad support. It also doesn't work well for things like Source games.
The 670 is better.
weird, I would've thought AMD would have done multimonitor better.
