Kinda a noob question but will formatting my harddrive remove any partitions on the drive as well?
If you want to remove partitions, open the command prompt, type "diskpart", then type "list disk" and find the number of the one you want to wipe based on capacity (say it's disk 1), then type "select disk 1" and finally "clean" to erase the first and last megabyte of the drive, which will remove all partition table data so the drive is effectively completely blank, although your old data is still sitting off in the void somewhere on the platters. Use "clean all" instead to completely wipe it, although this can take hours.

This says that my hard drive is not partitioned. Is this normal and if so do I clean that partition?
EDIT:
To clarify, it says that disk 0 has capacity of the total capacity of the drive.
how important is it that you have this account
you may have to abandon it and make a new one
This account I am not too worried about abandoning but the reason I need it is because I set it as the parent to my Xbox live account years ago. Without this account I cannot accept new terms and conditions for Xbox live. Abandoning the Xbox live account on the other hand is not preferable as I have several GFWL games, DLC and Microsoft points registered to it.

You clean disks, not partitions. If it's not already partitioned then you're good to go. Make new partitions by using "create partition primary [desired=<desired partition size in MB>]" and then "format FS=<filesystem> [quick]"

Aren't Ultra PSUs near Chinese IED-level when it comes to quality

Yup, except instead of blowing up they just stop working. When my Dad's, Uncle, mine and my friends ultra, and almost all ultra's I've ever seen. They basically just refuse to turn on 1 day.
What's the best graphics card to get to replace a 9600 GT at a $150-$180 budget?
I was thinking of a 650 GTX (1,832 G3D Mark compared to my 9600's 768) but that's around $110, any recommendations to get the most out of my dollar?
Edit: Just found a deal for a 650 GTX Ti at the local Micro Center at $144. From a quick look into the card it's got a G3D Mark of 2,711, will I find a better deal, or should I jump for it?

Some of them blow up too.

Then your only hope (unless someone knows something I don't) is to call Microsoft support and ask them to change the email for you (and verify the account). Keep the credit card you used for those MS points on hand as proof of identity

1. AMD
2. Mobile Processor
3. 1.7 GHz (Fucking really? Pathetic for 6 months old, even if it is a mobile.)

I'm really gonna be sending back the x131e, not even worth buying with the AMD processor.
No wonder they were about to shut down
Looking at getting http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007K6FZG6?ie=UTF8&tag=wwwetalecouk-21&linkCode=as2&camp=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=B007K6FZG6 in the new year just wondering if it actually would connect up to a PC, It reads "Portable in - ideal to connect your MP3 Player" Which I would asume is just a standard Audio jack?
Portable In
Portable In connectivity allows you to enjoy music and other digital content directly from portable devices such as MP3 players, laptops and personal multimedia players through LGs audio systems.
Sounds like it's going to be a standard 3.5mm audio jack, or if not, the system provides whatever cable you need.
Sounds like it's going to be a standard 3.5mm audio jack, or if not, the system provides whatever cable you need.
After looking into it, it looks like the only connection which I would be able to use is Optical In to use the surround sound and from what I read its really hit and miss as to if it works?

No, Athena Power is junk.
You'll be much better off with a PSU from Corsair or another quality brand.
I wont recommend one however as someone else will likely provide a much better recommendation than I would.
I just bought that video card and this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139028 power supply actually.

What is this coming from? Standard S-Video is only 4 pins and doesn't carry audio.
Is there any particular way to transfer very large amounts of data from one hard drive to another?
Alright, I need a free program that can make a perfect copy of my hard drive, bit for bit, it's gotta cover my windows install too. Would windows recovery work or do I need something else?

I've never heard of 7 pin S Video, but according to Wikipedia, it's a non-standard that varies between manufacturers, so probably the only place to find what you're looking for would be with them.

Create two partitions on an external hard drive the same size as the one you are cloning. For example, if I have a 128gb drive I want to clone, I'll have one partition of 128gb and one 100mb for the boot manager. Then just clone by following the instructions in the gui.

Um, But this HDD isn't external.. I want to clone everything on my 500 gig seagate to my 500 gig caviar black.

Same thing, make sure the two partitions are the same size on both drives. So create a 100mb partition and a (500gb-100mb) partition.

I tend to use free filesync for big transfers (1TB+)
