Looking at some sales and I found some monitors which look like they're good deals.
There is this monitor for $200: http://www.lg.com/au/it-monitors/lg-E2711T-BN-led-lcd-monitor
And this monitor for $230: http://www.samsung.com/africa_en/consumer/pc-peripherals-printer/monitors/led/LS27B550VS/XA
The thing is I'm not sure whether these are actually any good (I suspect they're a couple of years old) and if 27" monitors would be an overkill since if I was to get either one I'd get two of them. So really I need two answers, are these deals as good as they look and will 2 x 27" monitors be too much?
What is this coming from? Standard S-Video is only 4 pins and doesn't carry audio.
Playstation 3 to an elgato capture card by a special cable you need to use for the ps3, it plugs into the back of the ps3 normally where the a/v multi-out goes and leads into the capture card by a 7pin s-video port
I'm looking at new motherboards but what does Z77 mean? Is that just the latest version or what?

The chipset basically determines how the lanes work on the mobo.
It's the specific motherboard chipset.

I'd also like to ask does 1920 x 1080 look fine on 27" monitors? Obviously the pixel density is lower in comparison to a 24" monitor with the same resolution but is it noticeable or look considerably worse?
My friend's steam is broke as all. It says it can't connect to the steam network and we're on the same network. We've tried repairing, uninstalling and installing again, removing the clientregistry.blob, launched as administrator, checked the firewalls.
steams log in (and a few other) servers are having problems right now
Oh, okay. Thanks.

Development on my problem with hds clicking, hoping someone here might have an idea of what the source of the problem is.
With GPU in normal, hard drives click, windows freezes up. Managed to get a game of DotA 2 in when everything looked normal but problems developed after that.
With GPU in safe mode, everything appears to be fine.
Without GPU in normal, everything appears to be fine, I'm killing time by playing games that aren't graphically demanding.
I don't know if its a problem with my motherboard or graphics card. I doubt its a problem with the hard drives but I don't know much.
My GPU is a NVIDIA GTS 250, mobo is MSI z68 GD55 G3. Intel i5-3750k processor. Using 2 x 4 gbs of RAM and a new tb hard drive from Seagate.
Same thing, make sure the two partitions are the same size on both drives. So create a 100mb partition and a (500gb-100mb) partition.
"Put the new disk inside your external disk closure, connect that to your running MS Windows or GNU/Linux via USB cable"
Are you sure I can do it with SATA now?

If your harddisk is making clicking noises, it's probably faulty. They make that sound if they have trouble reading the platters. The needle will seek for the files, and make a clicking sound when it fails to find anything, and has to start over at the other end of the platter (the click like noise comes when the needle moves from the inside of the platter back to the outside, or the other way, I'm not quite sure).

I'm aware that it may be faulty, but I don't want to spend money on another hard drive when the real problem might be the GPU, after all without a GPU the hard drive works perfectly and I could send it back for an RMA if the problem persists with a new graphics card. I'm dreading that if I go and buy a new graphics card the clicking will come back and it's actually a motherboard problem or something.
How would one connect a computer to a led tv? If needed I'll give the tv + videocard specs.
My computer hasn't been able to access my USB Drive, it can be from other PCs so it may just be Windows 8 messing about. Yes I've tried it in numerous USB slots and still the same. However, it can be seen by Drive Management but I just can't do anything it just comes up with this message:

Can someone recommend a quality coaxial-to-hdmi or red/yellow/white-to-hdmi converter for me please? I just got a Google TV but our Comcast cable box doesn't have an HDMI output :(.
Thanks!
[editline]25th December 2012[/editline]
I found this, http://www.amazon.com/Component-Coaxial-Optical-Converter-100~240V/dp/B001IPKJJ8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1356464409&sr=8-2
I'm not good with hardware but that sounds like it'll convert my cable box's red/yellow output to an hdmi output right?
what's the point of water cooling when you have 10 fans for the rads? seems like plenty to me
10 fans running at like 600RPm versus 1 or 2 running at like 2500rpm. That's what I plan on building eventually. Like 4 giant Rads with like 500-700RPM fans.

Plug in HDMI cable into TV, and the other end into the computer.
Done.

I think it looks worse personally, but it really just depends on the person. My friend has an Acer 27" (ugh Acer) and he swears by it, but I just can't stand looking at it.
Is the Asus UX32-DB71 worth buying, or would I be better off with a different ultrabook in that price range?
I'm looking to change my 24" screen to 27". There are a few things I'd like:
120Hz
2560x1440 would be amazing, but I have yet to find a decent one.
This is nice but it's still 60Hz & 1080p
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/27-dell-s2740l-wled-full-hd-widescreen-ips-panel-vga-hdmi-dvi-d-usb-edge-to-edge-glass-screen
Also is 120Hz ALWAYS 3D or does it have to say '3D' on the product description for it to support it?
I'm loving my iiyama screen at the moment, so I would consider going for them again.
What would you guys recommend?
I need a free fucking HDD clone program. All I want to do is click 1 fucking button and have it be done, none of this clonezilla bullshit trying to figure out why the fuck everything is wrong.

Pretty sure all 120Hz screens do 3D because of how the frames are displayed, but I'm not 100% on that. The BenQ 120Hz screen is supposedly pretty nice, but it's 1920x1080 and a 24". Haven't seen too many 2560x1440 120Hz screens, it's either one or the other most of the time.
Eugh, anyone on Steam help me choose a laptop from Sager really quick.

This is true. At 2560x1440 120 FPS is going to be VERY hard to pull off, though (you could turn the res down I guess). It'll still work great for movies.

movies wouldn't be affected much at all with current standards
i want a new graphics card as i feel my 5770 is on the way out and i cant really run new games on max anymore
do i get the gtx 650 or 660? the 650 is like $170 for the 2gb version, has amazing reviews and everyone says you can run new games max and get 50-60 fps reliably but then theres the appeal of the 660 but i dont wanna spend $300
[editline]25th December 2012[/editline]
also running on a 1920x1080
