I'm having artifacts in games, I have 2 670s in SLi, should I return both cards?
[editline]27th January 2013[/editline]
Or is there an easy way to determine which one is defective?

Take one out and run the game.
What temps are they at?
Also try different drivers.

Temps are fine (30-60C)
But it all started with the 310.90 driver, gonna roll back or wait for a new one and check if it has any effect.

Another way to bring a computer to its knees. Yay.
What is the best e-reader that I can just toss any old .pdf onto?

PDFs are really bad for ereading because of the way they work, set page dimensions and layouts. I'd say a tablet would be best because you're going to have to do a lot of moving the page to read it correctly.
Sometimes when I open up my D: folder I sometimes get this weird problem when something starts to use up 80-90% of my RAM memory. It then keeps so for a random amount of time, and then suddenly without any intervention it spikes down to its normal rate.
Pictures (it's in Swedish sorry)

And another example.

Note, this only happens as I open (D:). I don't have this problem opening (C:).

Open up resource monitor and sort by ram usage when it happens to see what it is.
If I connect a camera to a computer by way of a component-to-usb cable, can I use it on a program like Chroma Key Live (http://www.zachpoff.com/software/chroma-key-live/)?

If the component -> usb "cable" is really a dongle of some sort and it outputs a compatible video source (probably will), yes. If it's just a component->USB cable it won't work because it's probably just a proprietary 'dumb' cable for some device.
What about something like this?

[editline]28th January 2013[/editline]
Or this, might be easier to see.

As far as I can tell that should work, it outputs a TWAIN compatible video stream. But I'm not too familiar with how the standards or anything so I might be just spewing crap!
Sorry if this isn't the place to ask this. My dad does stock trading, so he needed more monitors so I built him a basic rig and got him an ati graphics card (I think it was a 6850 or something like that) to run 3 monitors, but he wants to run 4 now. Can anyone walk me through on what I need to do to get him running on 4 monitors, and maybe more later?
Anybody know a good router that support custom firmwares like dd-wrt and tomato? I'm moving out soon so I want a kickass router.

If you have an extra pcie slot you can just buy a cheap 6xxx series card and put that in. I used to run 4 monitors with a 5450 and a 5870. It has to be an ati card.

I've heard good things about this: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833320038
I have personal experience with this one being really good, though I haven't tried custom firmware on it: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833320091
can anyone suggest me a really cheap laptop? like around $300
all it needs to do is stream videos. I'm in the US by the way
My power supply recently blew (HIPRO HP-D3537F3R 350W) and I'm a total idiot when it comes to hardware, what would be a cheap power supply that would replace this without case mods / etc?
Would a Rosewill RV350-2 350W work?
What's a good tablet pc? Preferably running windows 7. I guess I'd use it as a lower power pc, so I'd probably be installing various applications on it, perf is not a huge deal.
can someone tell me if this tower has a wifi card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227457
[editline]29th January 2013[/editline]

No, and I don't think a PCI one would fit because of the size of the GPUs cooler. You could get a USB adapter http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833180075

Hope you didn't miss my post. A USB one would work fine and will only run you an extra $10 or so.

just made a pc here for him. anything i should change http://www.ibuypower.com/Store/AMD_FM2_A-Series_APU/w/155402
No idea where to post this, so I hope this place is okay.
Tomorrow I'm having one of the biggest tests in my life, and passing this makes my education fullfilled.
And the task is going to be setting up a windows server 2003.
So far everything is set up (hopefully) correct, making the server a domain controller, with dns, dhcp and AD. Ive made users and OA and whatnot, with permissions and restrictions. Now, my problem is, how do i check if a user can connect to the server? My only computer is a Windows Vista Home Premium, and if I've read correctly, has no support of joining a domain? Also the server is running inside VirtualBox. Can I borrow a computer, somehow make it connect to virtalbox, and then connect to the server?
Sorry if there is any typos, or bad explained. Can try to explain it better if needed.

If you're not buying it from Newegg there's better options than ibuypower I think.

I believe in you.
I'm trying to do a system reset in Win 8, but it keeps stopping the process and saying "A problem occured during System Reset", asking me if I want to search for a solution, starting the search, and then dissappearing.
What could the problem be?
wait, if i upgrade from my win7 pro to win 8 pro
do I lose all my steam games and have to reinsatll them and shit?
and if i select for user files to stay, does my desktop stay the same too?

You will have to revalidate many of them. Your desktop files will stay, but programs will dissappear. After upgrading, though, there will be a folder called Windows.old with all your old shit in it, in case you're missing something. In fact, not much dissappears after the install, unless you choose to do it clean.
