On passmark the 3550 beat out the 3570k by around 100 points. If there is a big price difference ill just stick with the 3550. Anything is worlds better than what I've got now. According to Newegg, It's just the 3570K, and the 3550. No 3550k. Passmark says it's better, and its ~30$ cheaper. Money is a slight issue here, and I only want to buy from Newegg, so I'll stick with the 3350. Thanks to everyone for all the help!

I picked up a dell XPS 15 for super cheap, got the version that has 8gb of ram, 1080p screen, 2 gig nvidia card, and 1/2 a tb of space for only 450$ (normally costs 1200+) The only problem with this is the fact that the mouse trackpad does not really work... at all. I have checked the wiring, it is completely in contact (though the little snap holding the ribbon in place is gone, some tape sufficed for fixing it in place, the slit it goes into is still there) no driver software has worked, so what should I do? Where could i get another one of the little things that fold down and pinch the ribbon down at the correct size? Where could i get a brand new trackpad? P.S. I have installed the driver software for it, it did nothing.

On some laptops the trackpad surface is molded into the actual outer case. I'm not sure whats under it, but it might make it irreplaceable.
