Again, there is no DVI port, just VGA. So it'd be HDMI -> DVI -> DVI to VGA.
Your graphics card doesn't have DVI out? What we want you to do is use the DVI out of the GPU and then convert it to HDMI to input to the monitor.

I thought you mean to use the HDMI cable from the card to the converter that is plugged into the monitor. I'll give it a shot in a minute. [editline]29th May 2011[/editline] I feel stupid as hell lol. [editline]29th May 2011[/editline] Well, I'm using the DVI to HDMI and I am see some improvement but very little...
I have an ECS Nettle3 2.2 motherboard. Is it going to be worth my time to purchase a Intel I7 and just replace my current processor with it, or should I just purchase a new motherboard as well? (My current processor is a AMD Anthlon X2 5200+) Im really trying to not have to purchase both, as funds are kinda limited. If you guys think I need a new Mobo, what runs along great with an I7?
check the settings on the TV in that case, probably something to do with it.
I've tinkered with them for 2 hours and nothing seemed to work so now I'm back to the DVI/VGA cable until I do more research and find another cable to test with.
If VGA looks fine just use VGA.
It's kinda blurry when it comes to text and any thin line, but colors are fine.
I'm looking for a high end AMD board which is going to be certied for AM3+ when it comes out... I was looking at the MSI 890FX-GD70, and the ASUS Crosshair(s).... Anyone had any prior experience with either, and can give me a few insights?
Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I have been getting lag spikes every few seconds while playing CS:S. All the players/other shit freeze for a second and then play again. Took a screenshot. [editline]30th May 2011[/editline] The gaps coincide with the spikes.
Ok, my media drive has corrupted it's Master File Table twice during the last week. Tried to write it full of zeroes and remake partitions now, giving "09-Sector #0-256::Write Zeros error!" error in the Western Digital's Data Lifeguard Diagnostics (their fancy naming for a drive utility pack). Should I get a new one? It's only about 7 months old and still under warranty. It's a 500GB Western Digital Caviar Blue.
Can i make chrome view the alt text of images when they load, like in firefox?

What would be a good way to test my graphics computing power.. some benchmarking or some shit? Just for curiosity
What would be a good way to test my graphics computing power.. some benchmarking or some shit? Just for curiosity
Game benchmarks, or things like furmark or a 3Dmark.
Is there a way or a script to make Youtube videos always play at 720p if possible?
I have found the solution myself. There is a Greasemonkey script called Youtube Video Suite HD that plays in 720p. It also adds download boxes at the top of the page but i'll ignore those. G500 or G9x? Which one is better/do you prefer?

What SSD would you recommend (Budget is about $200)? I'll be using it for my OS and my most frequently played games/programs. Also, what speakers would you guys recommend for around $60-$70?

How badly (if any) will a 6950 be bottlenecked by a q6600 @ 3.5GHz?
How badly (if any) will a 6950 be bottlenecked by a q6600 @ 3.5GHz?
You will more likely be bottlenecked by your GPU.
Speaking of OCed Q6600s and bottlenecking, would there be any with a Q6600 @ 3.4ghz and crossfire 6870s?
why do my games have this dithering? it seems to mostly only affect trees or transparent sprites but considering the multitude of games it affects it's probably my video drivers. i have a 5770 and the latest catalyst control center, and messing with mipmapping or filtering doesn't do anything. they're only present in games that are console ports too, just cause 2, dirt (2 and 3), test drive unlimited, and bad company 2 suffer from it. actually the test drive problem may not be related, it could just be the game's terrible coding. but the dithering in that picture on top is what's affecting my games. it's not that big of a deal but it makes games look 10x worse when you aren't using AA [editline]30th May 2011[/editline] also i zoomed the pictures in so you could see it better [editline]30th May 2011[/editline] oh i'm running windows 7
That used to happen in CS/CS:S fo rme in 16 bit colour mode. [editline]30th May 2011[/editline] on my Geforce 4
You will more likely be bottlenecked by your GPU.
no, not even [editline]30th May 2011[/editline]
How badly (if any) will a 6950 be bottlenecked by a q6600 @ 3.5GHz?
depends on what game, if it's something on the Source engine you'll be bottlenecked horribly
Please tell me what to do now, I'm trying to get homebrew on my PSP so I can get all the cool features. I've downgraded to 6.20 and my PSP is a 2000, what do I do now? :ohdear:
Anybody know of a good mini-HDMI to DisplayPort adapter or cable? My 460GTX has a mini-HDMI female port but my monitor only supports DisplayPort(which is pretty sad, but I've heard decent things about it).
Anybody?
