Oh no it was completely disconnected from everything so I think that's alright then
Would you recommend using it as a boot drive and for programs and stuff so in case I get a virus or something I won't lose all my files?
Wouldn't it be so fucking amazing if Futuremark and Pixar got togheter and made a benchmarking program?
I want to believe.

Is this for system restore points? How can I clean it up?
Also, I have 3 Hard drives since I converted an external into an internal. Two 1TB and one 500GB.
How do I go about Making them into one hard drive, RAID 0? What are the pros and cons of it?

Make a thread in PC Building, sorry - I saw your post a few times it's just too much to answer in quick questions. Tell us your budget, and everything you need, and what you'd like to do with it.
How do I clean a laptop screen without damaging it? Its pretty dirty from a bit of use.
I just got my new rig (GTX 580, i5 2500k, and 8 gb ram). It was running DXHR beautifully but when I started playing BF2 I got these weird multi-colored checkerboxes all across my screen. I thought it was just a problem with BF2 but the same thing happened with ARMA. Weirdly enough, I can seem to get pics because pressing the print screen key makes the problem go away temporarily( I know, wtf)

I almost forgot about the Bulldozer. For now, the Phenom will be a place holder.
So uhh, a guy I know stole 4 widescreen lcd monitors, he told me he'll sell em for $40. All I know as of now is they are 'nec' brand, do they make quality stuff?

Not sure but I'd imagine the police would purchase some widescreen LCD monitors from Nec. This guy should totally ask them

NEC makes a few consumer-grade monitors, but they're known for their professional-grade monitors. Some of their higher-end displays retail for thousands of dollars.
I'm looking to build a server, what parts do I need to focus on? One source said RAM and the HDD, while others lack in that area.
So speedfan is being a bitch and nothing shows up under the speed tab, what's a good alternative to speed fan?
I'm looking to build a server, what parts do I need to focus on? One source said RAM and the HDD, while others lack in that area.
You only need as much RAM and HDD space as you'll use. If you're just making a game server or something you don't need much HDD space, just enough to hold all the files + extra maps and such, not much. Make sure it's somewhat fast, and you might want to consider getting a RAID array.
Alright, i'm upgrading my PC soon so i'll probably just use the old parts for a server, thanks.

My front fan is ticking when it spins at full speed, should I be worried/is it going to die soon?

I doubt you need to worry, my Antec 3 Speed fan has been clicking and having spinning problems for half a year now and it's still going even though after every shutdown i need to help it with hand to start spinning at the speed i've set it at.

the blades might be disforming because of the high RPM and causing it to hit the side, maybe try seeing which one's hitting it and maybe bend it back a bit?
Are there any light-weight linux 3d CAD programs? I know of Blender, etc, but I'm looking for a program that will run decently on this laptop. (It'll barely play a youtube video.)
Browser-based would be a bonus.

I had to RMA my mobo, so i'm stuck with this.
Although Scan doesn't have that same model in stock (or ANY of MSI's P67 boards still available to buy) so I do wonder if they found an error. Either way they're going to send me an Asus Maximus Gene thingy. The mATX Z68 that costs about twice as much.
Right now I have a HAF 922, and I would like to be able to hide away the cables a little bit hetter and have more space, should I get a Define R3 or XL?
Also, how come the XL for example weighs 18 kg? I thought they tried making them atleast somewhat light
