Restart explorer.exe (kill it and then file-> run "explorer.exe")
Hey guys, my mate has a problem with installing anything. It started with a game, but it's now any piece of software he tries to install.
It gets to a certain point and immediately powers off. There's no reasoning when it boots back up again, and the event viewer doesn't give any clues as to what it could be.
Any ideas?

I get this sort of thing with my taskbar, to fix it I hold shift and right click, who would've guessed?
I've been wanting an android tablet as a replacement for my 4 year old crapmactop that no longer charges it's battery (which started right after I was complaining to me mum about how the new battery no longer held a charge).
I've been looking at the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet/
Are these specs good for a tablet?

All of my mouses apart from my Wacom Intous4 tablet stopped working after I upgraded from Win Vista 32 bit to Win 7 64 bit. Any help? I've tried google.
Could someone recommend me a webcam? I'd like it to be under $40, have good quality and output at a decent FPS.

why 'skype certified' it sounds like a gimmick label they pay for that almost every single webcam could have.

I say you get one that can actually focus, and is this for a desktop or laptop, is it going to move, or do you just want it clipped onto your monitor for videochatting?

skype certified webcams have onboard video encoding so it doesn't take any toll on your cpu when you use it, and skype certified webcams have decent video quality. I was surprised too when I read this advice, but skype aren't shitty about their accreditations

Why is fps dependent on light levels?

Desktop, I wouldn't mind if it was on the desk or clipped to the monitor.
Is there a better pdf reader for android 2.3.3 than adobes?
I find this pretty good

I got it for my nook and it is so much better then Adobe's
It was well worth the $2
Why is fps dependent on light levels?
it slows down the 'shutter speed' to allow more light in every frame. All webcams I've used have done this, maybe new ones don't.

I'd say that's good idle temperature on stock cooling.
Atleast i wouldn't be worried in any way.

Quoting for new page.
What are the differences between these motherboards and which are better
I would be paying $50 more for the UD4
GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD4-B3
or
GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3

The UD4 doesn't seem to have any video outputs despite the fact that it's Z68, so I'm not sure why it's more expensive
Well after seeing smoke rise from my laptop I decided it is time to get something new.
I really have no idea what I should buy and I have no way of building a computer. Could anyone give me a link to a good "gaming" computer that I could buy in the US?

Why can you not build a computer
It's very simple and takes 3hrs at most if your going at a turtles pace
why does 0 come after 9 on the keyboard?
I have an unusual problem, not hardware related.
It seems when I try to access google.ca or .com, google doesn't pop up but some wiki media page, yet the url is still google.ca, and if I try to do a google search or access any google bookmarks I get some strange 404.
I ran several virus scans on certain areas as well as general scans and didn't find anything.
The thing is, I haven't downloaded anything aside from a few pictures, and I scanned those areas as well. It just simply happened while I was doing something.
This seems to happen on all web browsers I use on this computer only on my home network.
Here's a screen cap:

Try clearing your DNS cache and check your hosts file
ipconfig /flushdns
Would it be worth it for me to upgrade to Sandy Bridge?
AMD Phenom II X4 955 BD @ 3.8GHz
GIGABYTE 770T-USB3 MoBo
GSkill Rip Jaws 8GB 2x4GB DDR3 1333
Evga GTX 480

Flushed the dns cache and now it's all good. Thank you, I was worried it could have been something much worse.
why does 0 come after 9 on the keyboard?
because usually when you count you don't start at 0
probably makes typing more natural

When typing, zeros are most commonly used for multiples of 10. Since the zero comes after the first digit in any multiple of 10, in combination with the fact that Westerners have a natural tendency to move from left to right, it makes sense for the zero to be placed to the far right on the keyboard.
Likewise, on calculators, the zero is found at the bottom. Westerners also have a natural tendency to move from top to bottom.
I'm trying to run a Windows 7 64-bit iso to upgrade my current 32-bit version, but it keeps saying that it can't run it's not compatible with my version of windows, any help?
