What's the best laptop I can get for about $600 to $700? It's just for school and light/medium gaming use. I'm thinking of getting a 15.6" laptop since my 13" is too small and a 17" is too big.
Has anyone tried that Microsoft touch mouse? If so, how did you like it?
And is it suitable for gaming?
Just wondering what the DPI is, if there's any lag since it's wireless, battery life, and whether or not I can keep my fingers on the mouse all the time without it triggering button presses

Would this laptop run games like Dead Island or Crysis 2?
I'm Laptop hunting, and need one that can run these games decently(if it can, I assume it can run any game out so far).

What about this one?
"Video Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000"
Still no. It's the same as the first one.
Stay away from Intel graphics.
Gotcha, Intel bad.
They're not bad, just not ideal for gaming. They're fine for everyday use.

Intel HD 3000 is actually pretty much on par with the 5450/5550

HD3000 is pretty decent for onboard graphics. You can easily game on it, just not newer games. I should bench my HD3000 for a thread.

And those still aren't that ideal for gaming. Especially Crysis 2 and Dead Island.

Which is what he wants to do so it's not ideal for his needs.
Corrupt copy of 7?
Also I have recently installed Vista again and now I want to remove Windows 7 on my C: partition, but how can I do it without fucking the entire bootloader over?
Here's my partitions if it matters:

Why do I need a PS2 keyboard for my motherboard sometimes when I have a USB keyboard?
I overclocked my i5 2500K to 4.3GHz.
These are the temps, with the max temps being during Prime95 tests. (In-place large FFTs, maximum heat, power consumption, some RAM tested)
(Stock cooling)

Is this acceptable?
how can i make one of the buttons on my logitech g700 mouse a sniper button?
like when you hold the button down it reduces the sensitivity but when you release the button it reverts back to the original sensitivity setting
logitech themselves do not do this feature so i was hoping there was a 3rd party software solution someone knows about

Wasn't there some program that would automatically compile frames taken from Source Recorder so you wouldn't have to use VirtualDub?
It's really not that difficult. I had no experience building PCs and managed to build my own earlier this year. All you need are a few screwdrivers and a youtube video to follow in case you think you might forget a step.
I know that, but it would just be so much simpler to order/go find one.

So, I'm in the process of upgrading my three years old PC. This is what it currently looks like:
Case: Antec Sonata III (500w PSU)
Motherboard - Asus M4A78-E
CPU – AMD Phenom X4 940 Black Edition
RAM – OCZ Gold XTC DDR2 PC6400 (4gb)
Graphics – Radeon HD 4890
This will be the new setup (I'm on a tight-ish budget, so I decided not to buy a new motherboard with DDR3 support) :
Case: Antec Sonata III
Motherboard - Asus M4A78-E
CPU – AMD Phenom X4 940 Black Edition
RAM – 6gb DDR2 PC6400 800MHZ (2gb OCZ gold + 4gb Corsair)
Graphics – ASUS RADEON HD6870
Will I encounter serious bottlenecking or any other problems with this setup? I will use the pc for gaming and as a media center; I've heard that the HD6870 performs good on high resolutions.
Also, I have not decided on what PSU to use yeat. Suggestions are very welcome :)
Cougar SX550 should fit well with that.
Alternatively, Thermaltake Toughpower 575W.
I've had a long, horrible history with wireless routers. Which wireless router brands don't suck?
