I've had a long, horrible history with wireless routers. Which wireless router brands don't suck?
There is only one router that a home or a small business needs: Linksys by Cisco WRT54GL. After that, flash with custom firmware and you're done.
I've had a long, horrible history with wireless routers. Which wireless router brands don't suck?
I'm no expert on routers, but I have a D-Link which is far, far better than anything else I've ever had. The particular model we have isn't compatible with dd-wrt, though the standard firmware has just about anything I would want to be able to configure and more, and I'm reaching the speeds promised by my ISP (we pay for 120 mbit down, and our last router only gave me 90 mbit).
Cougar SX550 should fit well with that. Alternatively, Thermaltake Toughpower 575W.
So, I'd be well off with a 600w-ish PSU?
So, I'd be well off with a 600w-ish PSU?
I would say so. If you want to crossfire you'll want more though.

I eventually went with some D-link one but all of the ones on newegg had pretty mixed reviews.
How do I stop Windows System Assessment Tool from running?
What would the best way to setup my new SSD? I have a Z68 Chipset so I can use SSD Caching I have a 500GB WD Black, 2TB WD Green, and my Crucial M4 64GB What setup should I do with those
What the hell Just started up my computer. Steam does not start and leaves me with 'There was a problem with your steam installation, please reinstall Steam.' I have about 163GB of games, so I'd prefer not to have to reinstall them all/move them all. This is suspicious so I'm running a full Malwarebytes scan. Can I rename the steamapps folder to something else and uninstall steam without it removing the folder? Also, my Wacom Bamboo drivers stopped working, but a reinstall fixed them. [editline]17th September 2011[/editline] Steam also says that it is running in compatibility mode sometimes, even though it is not.
Just reinstall steam and move the old steamapps to your new steam installation.
Just reinstall steam and move the old steamapps to your new steam installation.
Will renaming the folder and leaving it in the steam folder work?
Will renaming the folder and leaving it in the steam folder work?
If you want to be double sure, just move it outside the steam folder before reinstalling. I haven't done it in a long time so I'm not sure if steamapps gets removed too though I doubt it.
Anyone know of the Radeon 7000 series release date? I'm waiting for prices of previous series to get pushed down a bit.
My understanding is simply before 2012. Nvidia is trying to get at the beginning of the year, but I fear they will be around Q2. As for only AMD, I would wager 2nd week of November for atleast the 7800 series.

Steam automatically downloads everything it needs.
Odd, Steam fixed itself when I started up my computer. I didn't have to do anything
Would I be better off upgrading my processor (AMD Phenom II X4 925 (2.8GHz)) or my video card(ATI Radeon HD 5570 1GB)?
Video card
I think they're both pretty good and there's not really a need to upgrade.
I'm looking at two hard drives. One being 500 GB but 7200 rpm and one being 750 GB but 5400 rpm. All I do really is play a couple games and some coloring work in photoshop. I was just wondering if the faster drive would be enough of a pro to get it over more room.

What are you spending on these anyways?
Can someone suggest me a graphics card that will be great for BF3 with a budget of $150? My current specs are: Phenom II x4 955 4.00 GB G-skill Dual-Channel DDR3 MSI 870-G45 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 768GB COOLER MASTER GX Series RS650-ACAAE3-US 650W

Just wanted a bit more room on the laptop because all I have in it at the moment is 250 GB and that is a pain for all the stuff I download.

Any sort of way I could quickly convert an mp4 video to an mp3? Could you convert this to mp4 maybe? http://filesmelt.com/dl/LatinRootsMovieKTF.mp4
-snip- My apologies, wrong thread.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814162058 Motherboard only supports 16/4 though, but the 460 isn't a powerhouse of a card so the bottlenecking won't be very severe. Other than that you can get a 6850 which will be an upgrade (30-40% performance difference), but for $150 I wouldn't bother.
Keep in mind that he could sell the 460 for $100-$130 or so after replacing it with a faster card.

Like is the budget to small is what you're saying?
is ASCII really pronounced "ass key"?
