Damn it, I somehow limited my upload speed by accident, I changed the wireless username + password using the router settings and now my upload only reaches 0.8mbit/s rather than 1.8mbit/s it used to, I am using wired so I don't see how changing the wireless details would change anything. Any ideas of what I might have accidentally done? [editline]fucking damn it[/editline] My ping has increased by 10ms too, fuck. [editline]whoops forgot to mention[/editline] ZyXEL P-2601HN-F1 is my router by the way, when I searched for that name on the internet all I found was people having problems with it and that they couldn't change to another router, BBB (ISP) for some stupid reason has locked me to this pile of crap. I tried changing it to a nice netgear router I had but it didn't work for some reason. is what it shows now, it used to show around 2000 I think. [editline]piss[/editline] I've also tried to reset the router by pushing a needle into the reset button, didn't do shit, still 0.8mbit/s. Fucking damn it, I was happy with my 1.8mbit/s and now I can't get it back. [editline]fuckit[/editline] Eh fuck it, I will most likely get fiber-optic internet with 20mbit/s upload in a couple of months anyway.
Thinking about updating from my 5850 when BF3 comes out. Should I wait for the new ones or update now? [editline]22nd September 2011[/editline] And if I should update now, what card?
Does Firefox 6.0.2 crash all the time for anyone else? It's extremely unstable for me and becomes unresponsive quite often. I know it isn't a hardware issue for me, but is anyone else getting it?
the combo should still be there, it's been around ages
Well I am looking at three combos right now which one is the best for the money Number One Two Three
Fat32 doesn't allow for files larger then 4GB in size. Format it to NTFS or zip the file into 2 or more parts lwss than 4 GB each. [editline]22nd September 2011[/editline] note: some devices (TV, consoles maybe) won't read NTFS. If it's just for PC use, NTFS is the way to go. Macs can't write to NTFS by default though.
lolwhat how the fuck did my portable HDD get formatted to FAT32 without losing any files
The first one is the better choice, UEFI motherboard with the same features as the others. But I'd go with a gigabyte because it looks better.
oh that's right, i hooked it up to my xbox. [editline]22nd September 2011[/editline] there goes my automerge
lolwhat how the fuck did my portable HDD get formatted to FAT32 without losing any files
that's what they ship with from what I've seen
no it definitely was NTFS when I got it. and i put a few massive files on it (some as big as 11gb) and everything was fine. then i hooked it up to my xbox to see if i could transfer any of them to its hard drive.
I can't seem to open steam right now. It show the splash screen when connecting to an account. But it just closes after that. Anyone know a fix?
Is CyberPower PC a safe place to get a PC from? I heard most parts in the PC they send you are used.
My friend got one from them a few years ago and he's never had a problem, BUT I haven't heard very many positive things about them.
I'm looking to buy prebuilt gaming PCs (yes multiple). What's the cheapest website that isn't also shit?
I'm looking to buy prebuilt gaming PCs (yes multiple). What's the cheapest website that isn't also shit?
I'd love to build your PCs, I live in Washington. I think a lot of people here would vouch for me, and I assure you that you'd get more quality for less. If not, I think CyberpowerPC is a good value, definitely cheaper than any big name brands. I'm 100% serious about this! PM me or add me on Steam if you're interested.
Is there a way to tell Firefox to disable a certain extension on a certain website? WITHOUT disabling it globally, WITHOUT Private Browsing, etc. Avast's thingy keeps interfering with my Google+ posts.
I've never heard anyone prounounce "GUI" as "Goo-eee".
Me neither, until I got to college and heard it in my programming class. Makes me cringe every time I hear it.
Basically, anything by Logitech. I have an MX518. Great buy.
I've gone through two MX400's. I love the feel and the weight, but the buttons keep wearing out in a year or two. I trust the higher end ones don't have that problem? I'm growing very distrusting of Logitech. G500 and MX518 both look fucking idiotic anyway. Anyone have experience with the Razer DeathAdder 3500? Reviews seem okay and I can get it for a good price. (Black edition too, so it doesn't look stupid)
ive got a quick question - ive just bought and fitted a new Phenom II 3.7 X4 Processor, its my first quad core as i have always had dual cores, the temp on idol is around 40/45 C and the fan spins at about 4500/5000 RPM is this normal with a stock cooler? i only ask because the fan seems to be making a lot of noise compared to my older rigs and i am just curious to whether this is normal or not.
What is this and how do I remove it?
I'm looking for a soundcard that is below 100 euros. My motherboard is an M4A77TD. Any recommendations? Or is this particular motherboard's integrated soundcard good enough to not warrant a real one? Just wondering, because I ordered excellent headphones yesterday and am not sure if the integrated soundcard can make it sound as good as it could.
A dedicated sound card is always better than an integrated (unless you're comparing technology 5 years apart), for headphones the Xonar DG/DS/DX are great, DX being the best. After that you hit Auzentech Prelude's, Xonar D2's and essense ST's.
Don't ever get the Creative ones if you get a soundcard. Get an Auzentech Forte 7.1 if you do. And what headphones? A DAC would be better IMO.
Don't ever get the Creative ones if you get a soundcard. Get an Auzentech Forte 7.1 if you do. And what headphones? You really can't go wrong with whatever sound card you choose (exempting old ones), you'll still hear a big difference between integrated.
A DAC serves as an amp AND a soundcard. Get one if you've got some nice cans, everything else is punishing them.
Thanks. The Xonar DS is looking like the most reasonable option.
A DAC serves as an amp AND a soundcard. Sure, some might be both, but just because it's a DAC doesn't mean it's an amp. [editline]23rd September 2011[/editline]
I'm looking for a soundcard that is below 100 euros. [editline]23rd September 2011[/editline]
Thanks. Certain Xonar have an amp built in, the DS doesn't.
I'm still looking for an external DAC + AMP + Gaming sound card that is 1394 or USB I got nothin.

I'm finally building my computer this October after over a year of waiting (Unless MORE damn delays occur) and I recently got a little bit of money, so I decided to get a better motherboard. I was thinking about getting This one. Is this a good idea, or should I get something different. My full parts list.
