It's probably one of the best 24" monitors around, what's wrong with matte?
Nothing really, but I love looking at a glossy display, the HP2509m even for a TN looks incredible.
How would I go about cleaning my GPU? It's a 6850 and I'm fairly sure it shouldnt reach this high temps (check "Max:" on the pic, It was like that for 5 minutes in Sr2 before I pussied out of the game in fear that the gpu would die)

Get some compressed air, take out the GPU and just go nuts.
So i think its time to upgrade my GPU and im debating between crossfire or buying a better one.
What do you guys think? Purchase another 5850 and do crossfire or buy a new graphics card all together. If the latter which one? i've been out of the loop for a while but i've heard the 6970 is pretty good.
Definitely crossfire, two 5850's is better than a GTX 580, take advantage of it, finding a 5850/5870 might be tough though.

Ok then, what are the faults of crossfire then that i should be aware of? i've heard that some games just dont support it, or the drivers dont support said games?
Crossfire/SLI is pretty stable nowadays, you shouldn't have any problems honestly, atleast any that you can't fix.

Also surfur, some guy is selling a 5850 for $140:

Is there a program that checks what space your hard drives are using the most? I need to clean up, and check which things are the biggest, so I can remove them.
This might not be the right place to ask but WHERE THE FUCK ARE MY YOUTUBE SUBSCRIPTIONS AND WHY AREN'T THEY ON THE FRONT FUCKING PAGE?

It was broken.

I've searched all the internet, but I can't find a straight answer, but why is it that console games (and console versions of some games) have split screen co-op, while their PC counterparts do not? If you have a large enough screen, than the view shouldn't be that bad (plus the fact that with the right hardware you can hook up to a TV anyways). I don't think it would be processing/GPU/RAM power, because it's been well established that consoles are worse than most gaming PCs in those respects. It would also be really easy to hook up two Xbox controllers (or even two sets of Mice and keyboards, since a lot of PCs have 4 or more USB ports, and I don't think it would be too difficult to get the computer to differentiate the two). Is it just that programmers and designers don't want to take the time to make this possible, or is it some certain thing consoles have that PC's don't?

people aren't going to bother going through all the trouble of doing that when they can just use their xbox
I read somewhere on FP about some guy who put in a Nvidia GPU with his Radeon GPU so he could use PhysX on his comp. It didn't work, however I have a 560ti and a retired 260. Think I could stick my 260 in and use that for PhysX?
more than likely
Then again what the hell is the advantage? Yea less demand on my main GPU but is PhysX even that great? I'll have way more heat in my case and I don't even know if my 750W could handle my 560 and 260.

your PSU is most likely fine, if it's a good brand that actually has something near 750W on the 12v rails, I doubt it'll help much, if at all, though. It's possible that it could even slow games down as it waits for the 260 to process physx. A 260 is probably above that threshold though.
it does not help whatsoever, I was in the same situation but with a 570
in most cases it actually worsened my performance
Recommend me a good glossy LCD preferably a larger one.
No one knows of a good 24-27 inch Glossy LCD?

not really I'm afraid, everyone here will recommend dell ultrasharps (matte), and rightly so

Can I have a few? :v:
You can give me a couple too.
Alright, I'm trying to fix a computer and I can't figure out whats wrong.
Originally it had XP installed on it but it kept bluescreening, so the owner tried to repair the windows install, but when he did windows stopped booting. So I figured it would just be easier to pull all the data off and reinstall windows.
Now, I reinstalled windows, but the installation took two days to complete. If I actually can get into windows it runs incredibly slowly.
I tried to reinstall, I even swapped out the CD drive and burned a new XP disk but I had the same problem.
I've checked the harddrive and it's fine, now I am in the process of checking the RAM but it's taking much longer than it should.
I cannot figure out whats wrong, anyone have a suggestion?
[editline]30th September 2011[/editline]
Reading over my post it occurred to me that this is probably a hardware problem, it would explain why the computer starting to constantly bluescreen out of nowhere. I'm thinking the motherboard is just starting to fail, the computer is pretty old.
Motherboard or RAM, I'd guess. Try switching out the RAM or testing the RAM in another computer.
Testing the ram individually now, I'm leaning towards that the motherboard is at fault. Mice don't work.
I recently built myself a new rig, brought it up to a better standard from a 2k3 machine to a 2k9-2k11 hybrid. (AM3 motherboard socket, etc)
Now some games will only run on vista or higher, yet I still enjoy my XP for it's dos support for some older games I still play.
I could get Windows 7 and install and make a dual boot. But how can I preserve existing installations of software and such and transfer it over to the new setup? For example Steam.
use DosBox for dos games, also to use steam in a dual boot environment just run the exe as usual on the xp install directory/partition.

go buy any TN that looks nice cause they're all the same
-it fixed itself, nvm-
is there any distinct difference between a microATX mobo and a standard mobo? or is it just the difference in size
is there any distinct difference between a microATX mobo and a standard mobo? or is it just the difference in size
They usually put less additional features in it, but it depends on the mobo
