is there any distinct difference between a microATX mobo and a standard mobo? or is it just the difference in size
Less features/expansion ports, that's it, no performance difference.
is there any distinct difference between a microATX mobo and a standard mobo? or is it just the difference in size
mATX is ATX but with only 4 expansion slots and a length to match
that's the only difference, mATX is usually used for lower end mobos but that's usually nothing to do with the form factor itself
No one knows of a good 24-27 inch Glossy LCD?
Why glossy? I can never see anything on those screens because of glare.
Is it worth it to spend extra money on a PCIe 3.0 mobo?
[editline]30th September 2011[/editline]
That's LGA 1155
Nope
Nope
Okay, looks like I can put that extra money to an after-market cooler.
I have an asus g74, how do i change the colors of the keyboard backlight?
Looking to get a new phone between now and 3 months from now on at&t. any suggestions? I already have a ipod touch so I feel that the iphone 4/5 will be unneccessary. The atrix seems nice but I heard that there will be new phones coming out in the month that are much nicer.
Is it worth the wait? Or is there a better current phone that i should just get?
Get metro pcs.
What the donkey tits is going on with my mic? My friend can hear himself through it, but can't hear me through it. The headset is a Plantronics 377

I don't have that. I'm guessing it's because I have an integrated sound card
I use an integrated sound card as well. Make sure you just have disabled items showing.

Although if it's not showing, it's not enabled, so that's not the issue.
Yep, it's checked, still not there.
I can't think of anything else that would cause that. As far as I know, stereomix has to be enabled for that to happen in the first place, so I have no idea what else can be causing it.
Also, can't hear myself when I test it in Vent, so I have no fucking clue what's causing this.
Okay so an AMD 6core proc is 20 dollars cheaper than the i5 2500k which is a quad core proc. Should my next build be AMD or what? (for gaming)

You probably won't use a 6core.
Either a Phenom X4 955 or an i5-2500k will do great for gaming, it depends mostly on your GPU.

Yea I've been reading up a bit more on AMD cpu's, specifically their new chipsets coming out in which one of them is an 8 core processor that will cost 180 dollars? I'm thinking twice about buying an intel CPU now.
560ti BTW

i5 2500k is going to be leaps better than even AMD's most expensive AM3+ CPUs for gaming, and I'm betting for most other applications as well. Don't get caught up with big numbers.
even for video editing, the 2500K destroys the 6-core phenoms
Best laptop for gaming?
£600-900 budget, preferably 16-17'' screen.

that's good, but only 15" screen
this is 17" http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Lenovo_G770_1091022.html with higher res than the acer
and you get £100 off with the code G770, so it comes to 700 quid
why do you want a 17" laptop?

Not 17'' particularly, but fairly big/big resolution since i'll be using it for architecture (CAD/CAM) and video stuff.

If you're gonna do that kind of stuff, do you really need a laptop rather than a desktop?

Well geez, if that's the case why does AMD even try?

Ever since I updated my drivers, everytime I play a game in 1280x720, I get these huge ass black bars on the top and bot of the screen. Before it stretched it out automatically.
How do I fix this?
