nice, how much was it?
Only 240 dollars.
So I'm buying a 2TB hard drive this weekend that I'll be using in an old Dell desktop into a file server that I'll be using to host files for my friends and possibly my High School Robotics team. I'm not sure where to start but I need some suggestions on server operating systems, remote desktop software, and help and guides that would be useful for learning basic server maintenance and use seeing as this is my first time.
Anyone?
Anyone?
Ubuntu server is quite simple for a new server user, not the next Linux based system from experience but easy and good.
It seems that all my media tags in explorer don't want to work, but they work anywhere else. Explorer: Windows Media Player: I'm wondering if this is a corrupt file issue or if it could possibly be caused from a custom theme?
why do you have two of each song in volume three?
why do you have two of each song in volume three?
It was a duplication bug with WMP12.
So i'm trying to record some footage of BF3 with Fraps (Yes, it runs amazingly well with my crappy 9800GT and Athlon II x4) It records video just fine, the only thing is that it doesn't want to record audio, anyone help me with this by any chance?
Would there be a way to have audio form one computer be transmitted to another or something better than teamveiwer? I just hooked up one of my old computers to my tv but it is really hard to see small text on it and the mouse and keyboard I have really shit reception.
I'm not too sure where this goes, so please forgive me if it is in the wrong place. However, I need to upgrade my graphics card as the one I have is not very good. How exactly would I do this? Again, I'm sorry for such a vague question but I know nothing of computers.

Use Priform Speccy. [editline]2nd October 2011[/editline]
Re-post cause I still don't have a solution. [editline]3rd October 2011[/editline] Check in fraps that it records sounds.. Check that its set to Stereo mix or What u hear and make sure its not muted.
Yeah, it is set to record from my sound card, but it doesn't want to play anything. It records my voice through my mic which is plugged into my G110, but that's it.
I've got an old crt tv,when i plug it and it turns on there's a static noise, but different from the typical one,i have the idea that it's just the plastic touching somewhere on the screen that it's making it sound "weaker", but i'm not sure if it's going to create an X-gamma ray interface in visual basic and start shooting highly charged magnetic photon waves at me and killing me from electro-cancerids. So,am i just being a wuss and it is safe to test?
Is there a program that checks what space your hard drives are using the most? I need to clean up, and check which things are the biggest, so I can remove them.
http://windirstat.info/ , Good luck :).

am i right to assume that i should get a new mobo if only one of my ram slots works? both sticks will only work when they're alone in the first slot, the second slot won't detect the ram at all - there's no dust in the slot either, and i tried the eraser trick too
Be advised, the memory controller is usually located on the CPU, which might be broken instead of the mobo
Be advised, the memory controller is usually located on the CPU, which might be broken instead of the mobo
well, how would i check if it's the cpu?
Be advised, the memory controller is usually located on the CPU, which might be broken instead of the mobo
As far as i know that is only true for AMD and the core i series processors. so if you have a LGA 775 or older socket its on the motherboard.
As far as i know that is only true for AMD and the core i series processors. so if you have a LGA 775 or older socket its on the motherboard.
well if it helps i have an AMD processor
well if it helps i have an AMD processor
The only way I can think of would be to try a different CPU in the motherboard or the CPU in a new motherboard.
Would it be worth buying a GTX580 or getting a second HD6950 and Crossssssssfire it all up in this bitch?
So what's the best card on the market right now for around 200-250? I think my 5850 is dieing...
Can someone recommend me a basic keylogger?
Can someone recommend me a basic keylogger?
Usually fucking doesn't involve a keylogger.

I would talk to AMD and get a replacement for it under warranty. [editline]3rd October 2011[/editline] or RMA it with the provider you got it from.

Does anyone know of a program that can open and edit Microsoft Office Access Database files for free? I kind of need this within an hour. I need this because Microsoft Office 2010 trial is asking me to enter a key and then reboot ad infinitum. Did I mention I need this within an hour?
