Upgrading multiple parts of my computer soon, not getting a new harddrive. Do I need to uninstall my motherboard drivers or reformat when I install my new mobo?

+1
On another note:
Im planning to replace my monitor. Shes built like a tank (got to treat it like one too to move the stand :v:) and has served me well, but only has a native res of 1440x900. Plus all my moves with it are starting to show.
Whats a decent monitor I could get to replace this (preferably a little bigger)? Can probably set aside $150 as an absolute max
+1??
Get this one if you can : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236117
Sell some drugs or something.
Not really a question but I have the greatest internet ever! [T]http://www.speedtest.net/result/1548086514.png[/T] Paying for 10down/1up and "Elisa" obviously gets the best results!
You know that your speed also depends on the quality of the lines within your community and home, regardless of what speed you payed for?
Vegas is pretty much the best that isn't overly complicated, great piece of software that most people would recommend, there's a 30 day trial and it's not too expensive, if you're a student you can get massive savings or even for free, I got it for free and I wasn't even on a course that involved video editing, I was doing programming, but sony don't seem to give a shit and just give it away for free like candy.
Vegas is hardly the least complicated out there. It seems to pride itself on having the most different UI possible from it's competitors. Having said that, once you learn how to use it, it's amazing.
So, I have around 250 euros, what GPU should I get?
Upgrading from a HD3850 by the way.

6850 < 6870 < 560 Ti < 570
I know this is a stupid question but could I possibly lose data from checking and fixing file system errors and recovering of bad sectors on one of my logical drives? (The one I'm scanning at the moment doesn't contain my OS)

or even worse could anything fuck up?

Are there any new mobile gpu releases scheduled for Q4 2011 or Q1 2012? I'm looking to get a new laptop soon.
Also, when's Ivy Bridge coming?

Low-mid end 7*** are apparently out december, according to rumors, so I would assume mobile ones aswell.
Higher end ones are Q1-Q2 2012 apparently.
Ivy Bridge is estimated Q2-Q3 2012, from what i've heard, but nothing solid.
I'm in dire need of changing my CPU fan (not the whole heatsink) since it sounds higher than a jet engine while playing games. I was thinking of getting this one as a replacement, from what I've read everyone is praising it over its low noise. Would it work fine as a CPU fan even when gaming?

My CPU is an AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4GHz, not overclocked.
how well will my 2500K IGPU (intel hd3000) do on counter strike source?
I'm going to upgrade my PC in few weeks and I don't know one thing. Should get an i5-2400 or i5-2500?

probably medium settings, haven't got much experience with the new intel GPUs but I doubt it would run at max
one wonders though why you have a 2500K yet no proper GPU

if you don't play games why do you have a 2500K apart from blazing fast ~webpage rendering~

Should I wait for Ivy bridge to upgrade my Phenom II 965?
And best monitor for under $200.

I have an ASUS LCD (either this one or the next step down from it), and it's quite good.
Ugh, torn between getting a new laptop with a GTX 570m or waiting for the GTX 600s.
It amazes me how much laptop prices drop. A similar spec notebook costs only $800-1000 now when I got mine for 1.7k :<
2500K
But why the K one? I'm not even going to overclock it because the only thing I've successfully manage to OC is my Pentium Dual Core E5200.

come on man, there's no reason why you shouldn't! the thing is built for that
But why the K one? I'm not even going to overclock it because the only thing I've successfully manage to OC is my Pentium Dual Core E5200.
I got the 2500K over the 2500. I'm not planning to overclock, but it would be nice if I might change my mind later. And for me, the price difference was minimal, so why not?
But why the K one? I'm not even going to overclock it because the only thing I've successfully manage to OC is my Pentium Dual Core E5200.
If you managed to OC your E5200, you will easily OC your 2500K.
Also, How high did you get your E5200 and what cooler? I have this CPU atm and want to OC it a bit more.
Also, How high did you get your E5200 and what cooler? I have this CPU atm and want to OC it a bit more.
I overclocked it to 3GHz, stock cooling and no voltage changes. Never had any problems with this.

maxed easily

If you get the right motherboard, ALL you have to do is press a button on the motherboard, then it does a stable overclock to around 4.2 GHz. I did that and it's SO fast.
