Is there a good ratio of Intake to Exhaust fans on a case? I have 4 case fans currently, all 120mm. The case is a HAF 912, and I believe the top back one is exhaust right now. Should the two highest up ones be exhaust, and the lower ones be intake?
for pretty much every case: top exhaust, back exhaust, bottom exhaust, front intake
Alright my friend is wondering something. His computer is really bad, and he has the chance to upgrade 1 thing. He's got a 4670 (which doesn't draw power from the PSU, as it takes it directly from the PCI slot, so I suppose it's really bad?) and a Athlon II X2 250 He's wondering which of those two he should upgrade. Tips?
Update for this, he told me his PSU is on 460W.
How do mouse weights affect performance?
Is it normal that when my computer is doing nothing, just idling at the screen The ram usage is 1700MB to 2100MB (Total 4093MB) ??
How do mouse weights affect performance?
It's all up to preference. If you like a heavy mouse, then stick more weights in it.
Update for this, he told me his PSU is on 460W.
brand?
opinions?
Get 2600k instead of 2700k. Cheaper mobo, P8Z68 series OR Maximus IV Gene-Z.
opinions?
Motherboard is a bad choice, just get an Asus z68 that's not some 1337 gamer stuff, it's the same thing. Get cheaper, standard profile RAM, without the large heatsinks. And up it to 16GB if you're actually going to use the 2700k (rendering, editing, etc), since it's so cheap. If you're not, just get a 2500k or 2600k. I'd choose another BDD (blu ray disc drive abbreviation) because of the odd colours on the samsung. Choose a different videocard, one with a better cooler. At least colour match everything if you're buying stupid overpriced crap (the motherboard, RAM)
I need some help guys, I'm trying to run a counter strike server with some friends using hamachi, but it doesn't seem to be working. He's on the same hamachi network as me and I created a lan server on counter strike source, but he can't join it it says "lan servers are restricted to local clients (class C)" when he tries can anyone help?
Why do you have to use Hamachi?
unless you're trying to run extremely old stuff, yes
Well lets hope Diablo still works on it then.
Hey guys, as you might have seen on my other topic earlier, my friend is having problems with what he thinks is DDoS, though I'm not completely sure of that. Anyway, here's part of the log from his router that he think is causing problems:
Blocked incoming TCP packet from 109.213.61.227:80 to 23.9.48.230:57594 with unexpected sequence 441437204 (expected 434200594 to 434216979) Blocked incoming TCP packet from 109.213.61.227:60685 to 23.9.48.230:57593 with unexpected sequence 3855300240 (expected 3849722559 to 3849728944) Blocked incoming TCP packet from 109.213.61.227:60685 to 23.9.48.230:57592 with unexpected sequence 765127389 (expected 758821905 to 758862290) Blocked incoming TCP packet from 109.213.61.227:80 to 23.9.48.230:57594 with unexpected sequence 441477504 (expected 434902594 to 434916979) Blocked incoming TCP packet from 109.213.61.227:60685 to 23.9.48.230:57593 with unexpected sequence 3852300240 (expected 3829722559 to 3829738944) Blocked incoming TCP packet from 109.213.61.227:60685 to 23.9.48.230:57592 with unexpected sequence 765227389 (expected 758851905 to 758828290) Blocked incoming TCP packet from 109.213.61.227:80 to 23.9.48.230:57594 with unexpected sequence 441412204 (expected 434900594 to 434912979) Blocked incoming TCP packet from 109.213.61.227:60685 to 23.9.48.230:57593 with unexpected sequence 3826302240 (expected 3849722559 to 3249738944) Blocked incoming TCP packet from 109.213.61.227:60685 to 23.9.48.230:57592 with unexpected sequence 765527329 (expected 758851905 to 758268290)
This appears quite a lot in the log, sometimes it's UDP instead of TCP though and sometimes outgoing. This might just be normal activity for the router for all I know, but he doesn't really know anything else to do, and would really appreciate any help. Oh yea, I also mixed all the numbers up in the log just in case.
Well lets hope Diablo still works on it then.
can confirm Diablo II works perfectly
amazing deal pc world are doing the AMD FX4100 (quad core 3.6) with motherboard all for £99.99, the processor normally retails for £90 so this is absolutely brilliant for a budget build http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/asus-m5a78l-m-lx-atx-motherboard-amd-am3-fx-4100-processor-10928710-pdt.html?srcid=369&xtor=AL-11

What's a good headset brand?
What's a good headset brand?
N/A, unless you mean phone headsets. Then Plantronics, I guess? Adding a microphone to headphones causes them to break every month or so because the wires are made way too thin and they lose connection, making the sound 'quieter', only in one ear, or the mic stops working. I'm assuming this happened to you because you're looking for a new headset.
does it come with a stick of RAM?
it does not, but ram is cheap as chips these days (see what I did there?)
it does not, but ram is cheap as chips these days (see what I did there?)
confusing, box says it comes with RAM, and has RAM in picture. [editline]28th October 2011[/editline] although it's not a sempron either, they need to fix the pic
What's a good headset brand?
only headset that was ever worth the money was the sennheiser pc 350 and now the price got jacked up so none [editline]28th October 2011[/editline]
N/A, unless you mean phone headsets. I have a mic velcroed to my a700 and I haven't experienced this in 2 years since I did the mod
Good brands of headsets, aye? First google picture of a headset or what you'd like to call it
The Steelseries Siberia V2 is pretty good, but I'm sure that you can get a more price worthy headset. [editline]28th October 2011[/editline] And the microphone is pretty flimsy.
Okay so if I wanted a good gpu with an AMD II x2 555 Callisto 3.2 ghz, what should I get? Would a 570 bottle neck it? I can't do two cards because of motherboard.
I just got a new phone for my job (needed one with a headset out), and it has a Data jack (it's a standard phone size, RJ-11), and I'm just wondering what it's for. I assume it just lets you daisy chain phones or something.
only headset that was ever worth the money was the sennheiser pc 350 and now the price got jacked up so none [editline]28th October 2011[/editline] what? I meant they have to add two more wires into the same line, making them thinner as well, causing the connection to break. Not a pair of headphones with an aftermarket microphone attached.
