Hi, just changed my start orb and it felt like having anal sex with explorer.exe.
I removed explorer.exe since it was corrupt and went ahead and did a "sfc /SCANNOW", little did I know that it does fucking nothing all of a sudden and doesn't recover a fresh explorer.exe. I rebooted in hope it would be there then, noooope, also expstart.exe was having a fit to for no fucking reason so I deleted its ass and started a new scan.
Anyone know how I can fix this? I got an explorer.exe from a friend too but it gives me the same error, I also tried the backup from the start orb changer but it was fucked too.
Halp?

I said fuck it and did a system restore, lost LOTS of shit.
I need some help guys,
I'm trying to run a counter strike server with some friends using hamachi, but it doesn't seem to be working. He's on the same hamachi network as me and I created a lan server on counter strike source, but he can't join it
it says "lan servers are restricted to local clients (class C)" when he tries
can anyone help?
Set sv_lan to 0, use the 'map' command to load a map, and have him connect using this command: connect <your Hamachi fake IP>:27015
I used to use Hamachi myself, but then I learned to forward ports. :v:
Both Google Chrome and IE7 refuse to load nemesis.thewavelength.net (Nem's Tools). I plugged the address into downforeveryoneorjustme.com and it said the website is up.
I have restarted my router, flushed my DNS cache, and run CCleaner, but Chrome still says "Oops! Google Chrome could not find www.nemesis.thewavelength.net" whenever I attempt to open the site. Nem's Tools has failed to load on two other systems in my network as well.
Anyone know what's up?

This is why you keep backups of explorer.exe etc when doing shit like this.
Some utilities will keep one for you even, so there's no excuse.
Whats the best settings to get a stable 50+ fps on BF3 with my
AMD Phenom XII Quad Core,ATi Radeon HD 6950 and 4 GB DDR3 RAM
What CPU exactly? And what resolution? I'm guessing for 50+ FPS you're going to be doing med-high
Should I get a cheap water cooler or a normal fan cooler to replace my I5 2500k's stock cooler?
In order of quality+price:
Hyper212+ < Hyper212 Evo < Be Quiet! Dark Rock PRO < NH-D14 < Corsair H100 < Custom watercooling
amazing deal
pc world are doing the AMD FX4100 (quad core 3.6) with motherboard all for £99.99, the processor normally retails for £90 so this is absolutely brilliant for a budget build

what did you study just out of interest?
One year of software programming and got bored, then two years in science & medicine.
Now I have no idea what I'm doing, soul searching I suppose, I turn 19 in december.
What's the general recommendation for a cheap, "ok" quality microphone.
I'd get something cheap in local stores but they're always attached to some shitty headset and I already have great headphones so it doesn't seem logical to get one of those...
Anything between £10-£20 is fine, I just have no idea what to look for!
Has anyone gotten this before? I know it has good reviews but I just want to get another opinion on it.
[editline]edit[/editline]
And is it just me or have HDD's jumped in price recently? I had one bookmarked on Newegg that was $60 a couple months ago and now it's $120.
how the heck do you get foobar2000 to work with last.fm's scrobbling? I downloaded the plugin on foobar and it doesn't scrobble.

Is there any way to to a repair installation without being able to load windows fully? I get to the screen that says windows and has the colorful orbs, but then I get a bluescreen with the 0x000000F4 error. I know it isn't the hard drive, as I tested it in another pc and its fine...I have W7 home premium OEM if that changes anything. Id rather not have to do a clean install...

Check View->Console for any error messages and such when you change the song.
What operating system should I use for an old p3 700Mhz laptop with 256MB RAM?

Arch, or a very lightweight linux distro.
Is it possible to boost my usable RAM? Apparently at the moment I have '3.00 GB (2.75 GB usable)', is there a way to use all 3 GB?

From what i read the F4 error can be anything from faulty hardware (mobo, CPU, ram OR HDD) or even a low cmos battery.
Start doing things like memtest and narrow it down.

Do you have an Integrated GPU? If so that's what's taking that 250-ish MB of your RAM.

all the cheap ones are basically pretty crappy. The logitech USB ones are ok, but I'd say put in a bit more and get a samson go mic if you want better quality sound

Well it isn't my HDD, it worked in another PC and I was able to re-install windows. Ram is fine also, ran a few memory tests. I'm just blaming it on the windows install at this point...
Alright, asking again.
My friend wants to update his computer, he's got a 4670 and an Athlon II X2 250.
He's got a 460W PSU from Ace, so I don't think it's that good.
What should he upgrade, and to what?

The price is alright but it's slow, you can get an agility 3 drive for round about £1 per GB
I don't use £ though so why does that matter?
