My computer is in the middle of the family room, and it's annoying as FUCK. However, it is hooked up directly to the router. I really want to move it to my room, but I'm not sure what I need to use it wirelessly. Any advice?
You need a wireless card and your router needs to support wireless connections. That's about it.

My router definitely supports wireless connections, but what's a wireless card? And what's a good one to get?

A wireless card allows your computer to receive and send WiFi signals.
My house has two computers connected via this:

I get perfect connection, good enough to play on and host game servers with excellent ping.
Should I wait for Q4 to buy a second 560 ti? As Nvidia's new 600 series is supposed to be out then, and I'm guessing a price drop will come with that...
Also, I have this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171052 PSU right now, and I need a new one for SLI.
Is the PSU below a good option, or is there a better one in that price range? (~$100 or so)

You should be ok with the 750W. I currently have a 750W PSU with two 560Ti cards, i7 920 overclocked to ~3.2Ghz, 4 hard drives, 1 optical drive, and a bunch of LEDs. Haven't had power issues or anything.
I don't really know anything about certain brands being better than others, but the PSU I have is a 'PC Power & Cooling 750W SILENCER'.
I am having trouble finding any aftermarket GTX 480 Heatsinks other than the zalman one.
Anyone know of any?
i see no question, do you want a new mouse or do you want to know how to fix it?
Oh right.. how hard can it be? Anyway so I wouldn't necessarily want to buy a new mouse, so the question is:
Why the fuck is my Logitech G5 mouse shutting itself off for a couple of seconds, most notably in Battlefield 3?
And how could I possibly fix it? (Other than having to wait the couple of seconds for the mouse to fix itself, it's an annoyance)
I've come into possession of a laptop that won't boot. It loads into the boot agent, and then gives me this:
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel PXE ROM.
Insert system disk in drive.
Press any key when ready...
So first thing I suspected was a hard drive failure, or it may have come unplugged slightly? I'm asking if there's anything else I could try before I take it apart and see if there's anything wrong with the hard drive.

its most likely just a wire shorting or losing connection, open it and look. It's probably just falling out of the connection.

or if it's still in warranty, tell logitech and they'll send you a g500
How should I upgrade for bf3?
Current specs:
e6700 @ 3.33ghz
4gb ddr2
8800gt
550w Antec TP3 psu
Choice A(cheaper and easier)--q6600, Hypermaster 212, gtx 560ti/570, another 4gb ram ~$350
Choice B(Expensive, better results, wont have to upgrade for a long time.) 2600k, mobo, hypermaster 212, gtx 560ti/570, powersupply. ~$600
Now, I can go either way but choice a seems better to me seeing that I am a college student that wants to play bf3 and bf3 only. Getting a new computer completely would be nice but I wouldn't utilize it fully. I also find it difficult to spend money on a dead socket...

I would say go with a 2500k as the 2600k would be a bit more than you need and I don't think the Q6600 runs BF3 that well. also if you go with the new CPU/MOBO you need to get RAM as you can only use DDR3.

I forgot to mention that i'd be getting the 2600k and mobo for about the same price as the 2500k itself. My mistake for leaving out the ram.

Also, the q6600 would be coming from a friend that uses a gtx570 with it and gets around 60 frames on ultra.
I would also be overclocking to around 3.2-.4 ghz from the 2.4 that he is at.

Then I would say go for the 2600K.
Making gui things in python, when I create a button to close the frame (command=frame.quit), it just crashes instead of closing, and I get the "pythonw isn't working blah blah". Is there a way to stop this or another command I should be using to close the window?
First of all, what are you using for your GUI library?

Hello! My #1 question - how can I add 3d grass in tf2, The only grass I can get to work is "blendgroundtograss006" (black grass) "sand_floor_blend_04_with_grass" (black grass)
I wanted some normal grass, green, a few different grass types. Possible?
I talk about hammer editor, this bad section?

You'd probably best ask in the Gmod Mapping section. http://www.facepunch.com/forums/38

it just floating around, sort of like a stuck pixel (but it isnt a stuck pixel)
it happens on many occasions but with different right click menus, and is super annoying as the only way Ive found to fix it is to restart

this stuff happens to me occasionally, It's usually just a certain process that broke. Happens for me to Steam alot. I just ctrl+shift+esc and close steam.exe and restart it. So, see if closing all chrome processes makes it disappear? Maybe restart explorer.exe too. Not really a fix, though, just a work around.

what's your budget, and what country - can't seem to see your flag atm.
135 USD at most
Sup H&S, I was wondering, For christmas, Which GPU Should i get? I've got a prospective budget of around £50+, I have a 350Watt PSU, Non-PCI Express. AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual, Core Processor 4400+, 2.31GHz, and 2GB Of ram, A shitty rig, My previous GFX card was an 8400GS, But i'd like something able to handle atleast Bioshock on around 30+ FPS, Thanks.
I'm going to assume US since USD.
A 6790 seems to be the best card in your budget at the moment.
This one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131397 has free shipping and a MiR, but this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150564 has paid shipping but a bigger MiR, and you can get free shipping if you sign up for a ShopRunner free trial here: http://www.shoprunner.com/
[editline]2nd November 2011[/editline]
The XFX is definitely a better choice, even if you pay a little more and don't use the Shoprunner trial, because their warranty is amazing.

Sorry, there's not that much better. The best AGP card is a 4670, and I'm betting your CPU is bottlenecking as well. You should just save up if possible, if you reuse everything but the CPU/Motherboard/GPU/RAM you should be able to get much better for... say, 200-250 pounds.
Egh. I think it'd be better in the short run if i just get an 8400 then slowly work my way up in parts
