I'd do this, personally. If you could. The APU will play games better than any AGP card out there.
I'll keep that in mind but i know for a fact i won't be able to save up due to lack of general money.
Using Tkinter.
...I haven't used Tkinter in a while since it's a pain in the ass crack to make it look good, so forgive me for asking, but...what do you want the program to do when you close the frame? Exit?
Sorry, there's not that much better. The best AGP card is a 4670, and I'm betting your CPU is bottlenecking as well. You should just save up if possible, if you reuse everything but the CPU/Motherboard/GPU/RAM you should be able to get much better for... say, 200-250 pounds.
I don't think a dual core CPU will bottleneck a 4670. [editline]2nd November 2011[/editline]
Sup H&S, I was wondering, For christmas, Which GPU Should i get? I've got a prospective budget of around £50+, I have a 350Watt PSU, Non-PCI Express. AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual, Core Processor 4400+, 2.31GHz, and 2GB Of ram, A shitty rig, My previous GFX card was an 8400GS, But i'd like something able to handle atleast Bioshock on around 30+ FPS, Thanks.
Also do you even have an AGP slot or just PCI slots?

[editline]2nd November 2011[/editline] Also do you even have an AGP slot or just PCI slots?
Is AGP the big red slot? If so then yes, I'm sorry i'm a bit dim with slots. I have PCI aswell. [editline]3rd November 2011[/editline] This is the kind of AGP slot i am referring to.
Yes that is AGP
Then that is what i have.
any ideas on a sandy bridge upgrade (CPU, RAM, motherboard), ~$400 (+$50 max) and supports SLI? considering http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231277 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130582

You can always turn down resolution and settings for a worse videocard, but CPU requirements rarely change much with settings.

Does anyone know of a program that disables multimonitor automatically when a certain process runs, then turns it back on when said process exits? Apparently Fallout NV won't show me anything other than black screen if I have multi monitor on.

does anyone know a cheap and cheerful fixed/tilting wall mount for 22" monitors im scared of the choice available and dont want to accidently buy 2 tv ones or something :-(
Can anyone help me in my thread? http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1137587 I really don't know what to do :v:
Could someone point me to a motherboard that will comfortably fit crossfire 6850s and a wirless pci network card. Physically and performance wise as I understand that putting different cards in different pci (pci-e, pci *2, pci*16 I really don't have any knowledge about this) might give performance issues.
Could someone tell me the desktop equivalent to my HD4200 series that's in my laptop? I want to see how it compares with the card I want to get for my new build.
anything would be better, honestly
I know, it's an outdated crap card, but I want to compare exactly how much more efficient certain cards are compared to it. I enjoy doing those sorts of things.
fair enough, it's almost as good as the Radeon HD2400 AGP version
Oh wow, it's so outdated that it isn't even listed on Hardware Compare. Thanks!
Is there a way to reduce the sounds of my fan(s) rattling? I think my front intake 200mm fan is rattling or something since the other fans don't make any kind of noise except a slight hum that is hardly audible.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836110053 Good speakers?

Any way I could use Caps Lock as a mic mute button, so that if the light's on I'm 'live' and if it's off, I'm not? [editline]4th November 2011[/editline] ok, figured out how to make a mute button, now I need some type of indicator to see if it's muted or not on my taskbar. Anyone know of any program?
So, I may be building this PC sooner than I thought. GPU-wise I'm thinking either a GTX480 or 570. They're about the same price... but I've heard the 480 is a bit faster. I'd like to SLI them later, so would it be best to buy a 480 or a 570? Would it be worth it getting a 580 over the 2 for the extra 200? (Budget is around $2000, and I know there's a ton of sales going on)

Why does firefox do this to me? I have re-installed it twice and tried to remove all my addons. Still does it. Can be up to 1 000 000 sometimes. Using 7.0.1 and it's the same when I use nightly 9.0a1 Any idea what I should do? [editline]4th November 2011[/editline] It mostly goes up to 1 000 000 when I look at youtube or other video site. [editline]4th November 2011[/editline] It seems to be around 200 000 and 250 000 in nightly now.
I got this controller from gamestop yesterday, and in tests, it seems good. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16874104219 My question is if I should return it and get the official controller or just stick with this? I know madcatz isn't a good third-party company and you usually can tell how shitty their products are by just touching it, but this controller doesn't feel half bad. I'm mostly worries about lifetime quality.
Well, for how much? Assuming it was $26, if you buy online you can easily get an official 360 controller for almost the same price http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Wired-Controller-Black/dp/B003ZSN600/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1320430544&sr=8-3
