Can I use my onboard graphics outputs as well as my graphics card output? Currently onboard is automatically disabled when there is a graphics card, but I don't want that. I want to be able to use both.
Is this possible?
z68? yes.

You have to go into the BIOS to enable IGP second monitor or something like that, though.
Any way to convert a .avi to .iso to then burn to DVD or even better a program that will convert and burn it all together?
Do I have aids?

What's the best VoIP program for hosting a small local server for friends from time to time while recording games?

Best? Ventrilo. Best for that scenario without having to pay a ton for a stupid server you can't host yourself because the devs suck? Mumble

.avi and .iso are different kinds of file. Not just different formats, different purposes entirely.
What you want is some sort of video editor that supports both AVI and DVD burning. I think Windows Movie Maker will do it if that's all you have access to.

I feel stupid now.
I'm trying to change my icons (first time), but it doesn't show on the taskbar that I've changed them. Even though in the shortcut properties they've changed. Why?

mumble is better than ventrilo

some sites like facepunch cause ff8 to become unresponsive and start leaking ram
What would be a good laptop in the price range of $750 to possibly $900?
I just need it for school so a 15 inch screen is preferred, and I would like it to be able to do some gaming. Probably just Source games, CoD, and Skyrim. Maybe BF3 but none of the games have to run on max settings, I can deal with medium settings.
Yesterday, i updated my firefox to version 8.0. Apparently, that broke it. When i start it, it loads webpages quickly, but after about 30 seconds, it starts to take up more and more cpu power, fails to load pages, eats up ram, and freezes up. So, as you can see, i downloaded Chrome to fix that. But my question is, WHY did firefox break?
I need help finding a new router. The router I have right now is a Netgear WGT624 v2 and it's constantly dying and needing to be reset. Sometime it will go for days without having to be reset, other times it will need to be reset a couple times in a few hours. I've looked around online and apparently this is a common problem with the router. I need a new, good router for less then $150. I know very little about routers and networking in general so any help would be much appreciated. If you need anymore information, just ask.
It's something to do with your end (extensions most likely, hardware MAYBE). Beyond that I've got nothing.

ah okay, yeah I did that and it worked
it had some weird stuff about memory or something for the IGP when I enabled the 2nd monitor, and I think the performance in games has gone down a bit as a result of those settings, do you know what they do and how I can optimise performance?
thanks
some sites like facepunch cause ff8 to become unresponsive and start leaking ram
It's not unusable for me, but I took a look and it's indeed slowly but steadily using more RAM, even when I'm doing absolutely nothing.
It's not exactly going fast though and I won't run out of memory any time soon. But it is a leak alright.

The fuck is up with FF8. Why did all of my toolbar icons go white? It's so fucking ugly.
is 1280x1024@60Hz a reasonable resolution?
is 1280x1024@60Hz a reasonable resolution?
If it is your current monitor, yes.
If you are buying a new monitor, no not really. Unless it is used and you will get it for really cheap.
I have 2x 1280x1024 monitors.

Still need an answer for this.
Especially since apparently Firefox started using the new icon after a reboot but nothing else did, so I have one thing using Token and seven things not using it.
How well would BF3 run at 1920x1080 with this?

Over a year ago I purchased a 21.5" 1920x1080 LED monitor as a step up from my generic 1280x1024 one. At first I was pleased at the change but now I'm kinda having regrets since the viewing size currently feels way too small for comfort, I'm thinking of changing this. What suitable monitor size would be ok for 1080p movies and gaming? Since I sit on a desk with a 2 feet viewing distance from my monitor I was thinking of going for a 23.6-24" and selling my current one to help make up for the costs. So far I was thinking of going for this monitor:
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/24-iiyama-prolite-e2473hds-b1-black-led-lcd-1920x1080-2ms-monitor
What do you guys think or recommend?
[editline]November 11th 2011[/editline]
Decided to rethink this and did a bit of calculation. The size increase from 21.5" to 24" isn't worth the consideration since I would only gain an extra 20% of screen area. Unless I was going with something dramatic and costly, like 27", then I'll stick with what I have.

Forgo to mention that the ocz was less than $50
[editline]11th November 2011[/editline]
Scratch that thought, I'm looking for a modular psu to power all the components for less than 80.
So far the only thing that fits is OCZ, is there anything wrong with them?
