Over a year ago I purchased a 21.5" 1920x1080 LED monitor as a step up from my generic 1280x1024 one. At first I was pleased at the change but now I'm kinda having regrets since the viewing size currently feels way too small for comfort, I'm thinking of changing this. What suitable monitor size would be ok for 1080p movies and gaming? Since I sit on a desk with a 2 feet viewing distance from my monitor I was thinking of going for a 23.6-24" and selling my current one to help make up for the costs. So far I was thinking of going for this monitor: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/24-iiyama-prolite-e2473hds-b1-black-led-lcd-1920x1080-2ms-monitor What do you guys think or recommend?
The new Dell 23" Ultrasharps are around £185, so if you can stretch your budget a little you should go for them. Otherwise, LG has a 23" LED IPS monitor for £150 (IPS231P-BN)
Is 60C on the CPU an alright temperature?
Idle or load?
Idle or load?
Load, i guess. Played a game, exited and checked temp.
Temps can change pretty quickly after removing load, but it's most likely fine.
Temps can change pretty quickly after removing load, but it's most likely fine.
It went up to 70C now. And my GPU went to 61C. Edit: What is SYSTIN, CPUTIN and AUXTIN in HWMonitor?
When do you think the HDD prices will drop again? I'm hoping my 320gb+111gb will last for 6 more months which is when I'm hoping to buy a new one if the prices drop.

I've got two monitors FP, but when I'm playing some games I accidentally click off on my second monitor (the game being on the first). Usually this isn't an issue, but Evil Genius seems to hate it when the game is minimized, crashing to immediately crash on tabbing back in. Issue is, it doesn't lock my mouse to Evil Genius, so I can accidentally click off, cause the game to close and then all my hard work is lost. Are there any good programs to lock my mouse to a single monitor? I tried google, and all I found were a bunch of programs that wanted me to pay for it. Anything with just a simple hotkey would be awesome, thanks. [editline]11th November 2011[/editline] Scratch that, I found a program called 'CursorLock' and it seems to work fine. Thanks anyways.
Can anybody explain an easy way to transfer data from 2 hdds without usb flash drives?

Okay, I have this thing where there are a bunch of mp3 files that are all part of a single, large song. I wanted to merge them together into a single, large mp3 file. However, they have a moment of scilence at the beginning and end of the individual files, too small for Windows Movie Maker to cut at properly. Does anybody know of a program that I can use to merge mp3 files?
Audacity

How do I remove my retail copy of BF3 from an origin account? I want to move it from my brothers account, to mine.
How do I remove my retail copy of BF3 from an origin account? I want to move it from my brothers account, to mine.
Ask EA support to transfer it. If they won't do it, you can't move it. [editline]12th November 2011[/editline]
some sites like facepunch cause ff8 to become unresponsive and start leaking ram
This happened to me but I reinstalled it and now it's good, apart from every security certificate causing an "Error". damnit Mozilla.
Im doing some revising for a test next week and im going over some stuff but I dont know where some of my data comes from. I had this exercise:
A hard drive spins at 10.000rpm, its head can move from the inside cylinder to the outside in 10ms and has a sector size of 512bytes (excluding control info.) and has 300 blocks per track. a)Calculate the average rotation latency of the disk. b)Calculate the average seek time. c)What is the average access time for the disk. d)What is the max data-rate that the disk can sustain in MB/s
To which I have answers
a)60/1000 = 0.006sec * 1000 = 6ms. average is total / 2 so ARL 3ms b)1ms/3= 0.33ms c)3.33ms d)300*512 = 153600*166.66 = 256000000/1024 = 2500/1024 = 24.4MB/s
But I cant remember where the 166.66 in d) comes from. Does anyone know?
I'm going to upgrade my computer, but I can't find out if this cpu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103962 will work with this motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128510 with relatively no problems.

My fan makes this sound as if it where a little lose or something, and it creates a very high loud for a fan to be! Any tips for how i can fix the sound?
Would an ASUS HD5450 1GB play 1080p video?
How much will I see of an fps increase going from a GeForce GT 240 to a GeForce GTX 550 Ti? Is it a substantial upgrade? I'm kind of lost in this area of hardware. [editline]12th November 2011[/editline] Also, could I run the card on a 500w PSU?

You don't want to get an FX-6100 anyway, they're shit, especially when you can get a 2500k and a great board for $20 more: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157271 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072
How much will I see of an fps increase going from a GeForce GT 240 to a GeForce GTX 550 Ti? Also, could I run the card on a 500w PSU?
A very big difference and yes, there's only a 40w load difference between them, but honestly, I've been looking at a few reviews and the 6790 (same price as a 550 Ti) is faster so you may aswell get that: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150564 Either way you go, they both require a 6-pin power so make sure your power supply supports it or get a molex adapter.
