I have 4 sticks of those G.skill sniper low voltage sticks. I love em.
How do the low voltage sticks help you out compared to the normal ones? (Other than using less power)
god damn it should I get a 590 or a 6990
bimp-a-bump-a-di-doo
for a new page
You can try mkv2vob.
But I've done transcoding to both mpeg-2 and x264 (normal bitrate) and in both cases the filesize have doubled. It might be just improper settings though.
How are you planning to transfer it?
I usually just stick it on a flashdrive. It's the Simpsons, season 5. Each episode is around 200mb.

sometimes you should just ask yourself "is the extra 5fps worth it"

I was looking at them because they run cooler and they have low profile heat spreaders. Other thing is that while low voltage ram doesn't overclock well, but you can improve the latency easy.
The Sniper defaults to 1600Mhz with 9-9-9-24 latency at 1.25V, at 1.65V you get 8-8-7-24 latency. They also look classy and don't get blocked by the pipes on the Hyper 212.
Okay, FP help me out.
I've got Dexter, Season 2. Each episode is an .avi file. I've got an iPhone 4, not jailbroken. I want to put all of the episodes on my iPhone 4 so that I can watch them on the trip I am taking tomorrow. Itunes doesn't seem to like this concept and every answer I can find on google is like 4 years old. So what do I do to accomplish this goal?

Get an app that can play whatever they're encoded in, or convert them to an iphone friendly one.
Handbrake is a good converter.

You can't do that on your current PSU, which is only 300 watt. The 6870 is a nice card though, definitely get it when you get a power supply that will handle it.
You need 2 6-pin PCI-e power connectors on your power supply, ATI recommends a 500w supply or more.

Recommendations? To be honest I didn't understand what you said in the last part. :sigh:
Are there any good youtube downloading addons/extensions for chrome?
I'm looking for an imagehost where I can upload pictures as private. Any suggestions?
I'm looking for a decent laptop around 700-800ish. Rigt now I'm looking at this
http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/laptops/NP-QX410-S02US
Found it for $780. I want to be able to play some games decently on my laptop. Things like HoN, WoW, Source games.
I recently bought a laptop from frys that works great for gaming. It can play anything from gmod to black ops. I like it. I believe the model is this: HP dv6-6159us 15.6" Notebook. I'm not sure but that looks very similar to what i bought.

What I have:
- an ISO of Win7
- a laptop that supports network booting
What I don't have:
- blank DVD-Rs
How difficult would it be to make the laptop network boot using the ISO?

Got a USB drive?

Or if the laptop already has windows on it and you just want to re install mount it with something like Virtualclonedrive and run it. The setup copies the files to the HDD before it installs so it works fine.

The HD5870 needs 2 PCI-e power connectors from your power supply, these let the card draw 75-watts more per connector.
The PCI-e slot on your motherboard can give your card a maximum of 75-watts.
This means your graphics card can draw up to 225 watts by itself, your Power supply is only rated for 300 watts for the whole system.
I was running my system on an Antec Earthwatts PSU rated for 500-watts and it ran the HD6870 fine. I have since upgraded to an Corsair GS800 watt supply.
You will probably spend about $60-70 on a good power supply in the 500-700 watt range. Antec, Corsair, OCZ, PC Power and Cooling, and Seasonic all are reputable PSU manufacturers. Try and pick one 550 watts or higher. Come back to the thread and we will tell you if it will work for you.
Remember it needs at least 2 PCI-Express 6-pin connectors; 6+2 pin connectors also work.

Not even safe mode?
Guess network boot would be the only option but I wouldn't be able to help you with that.
Should I make a quick guide on how to decrease boot time w/ msconfig? Or does everybody already know about that?

How do I enable GPU scaling for my ATI 6970?
I cant find it in the current catalyst version.
How do I enable GPU scaling for my ATI 6970?

Set screen to non-native resolution. Then you go under configure for your display, set to use center timing. There you go, GPU scaling is on.

Doesn't dropbox have a bandwith limit though?
This is pissing me off. In Sony Vegas Platinum 9.0 My project keeps stopping at 3% and the preview window goes black when I try to render it. No errors, no messages, nothing at all. It just stays still until I manually cancel the rendering, then it freezes and I have to control+alt+delete my way out.
Doesn't dropbox have a bandwith limit though?
if it's private bandwidth shouldn't matter, if you mean space, yes, a free user is limited to 2GB
